Homemade DMT kaleidoscope - I call it a Chrysanthescope
Вставка

- About 18 months ago a friend and I started collaborating together on this project to build something similar to a kaleidoscope, but which makes 3D, almost holographic visuals, which are very reminiscent of a DMT trip. After going through many prototypes and different techniques we think we are pretty much there, and so I wanted to share with you guys the latest version.
The fractal patterns produced by the Chrysanthescope will look instantly familiar to anyone who has experienced DMT, with its spherical geometric shapes which phase backwards and forwards, its very reminiscent of having a DMT breakthrough experience.
Enjoy!

My notification bar just read "Homemade DMT" & I'm a little embarrassed at how quick I clicked on the link.
Me too
Nothing to be embarrassed about fellow souls

You're not the only one, I'm too embarrassed.. 🤦🏻♂️
That’s funny!
I came specifically for the kaleidoscope to see if I can figure out how they’re crafted, but I have similar habits on Reddit, no shame. It’s fascinating.
Looks like a NovaScope.
Amazing work bro!
Thanks! Yes it basically the same principle as the novascope but made out of mirrored plastic instead of glass, so it can be made much cheaper.
Novascopes are an amazing piece of art and ive always wanted one, so when my friend starting playing around with mirrors in her laser cutter then I was like “...do you think you could do something like this?”
Really cool! Reminds me of those novascopes, but just a fraction of the price! But I wonder if kaleidoscopes are those kind of things you think would be total epic on LSD, but it turns out that starring at a wooden cup is 10000 more interesting
That was pretty much my motivation - to make a novascope cheaper, which I figured I could do with modern production techniques.
I mean novascopes are just objects of beauty, but they are $350 for the smallest one.
Id love to buy asap!
Very nice work!😀🤩and i think the price is fair since its an object of Art.Beautyful!🙏✌
It’s nice to know that you’ve finished it, looks awesome!
85€ is a little steep for me at the moment, but probably justified, knowing you, I don’t think you would try to capitalize on your audience more than you deserve for creating this
Its actually a bit more expensive than what I would have liked, but at the moment there is quite a lot of manual labour to put just one of these things together, along with the material cost. I'm sure there are ways of making the assembly more efficient so maybe it would be my hope that they can become cheaper over time - assuming anybody actually wants one :)
@@AdeptusPsychonautica Not ony that but when you're knocking them out in China for a fiver a go, the original certified Adeptus-made ones will be worth a fortune!
@@AdeptusPsychonautica Are you selling these? This is really amazing and unique, I feel like I have to have one.
Cool nice work man .
I really like it. Top job to you both!
Thank you very much!
I'm definitely interested in getting one of these.
if you email me at adeptuspsychonautica@gmail.com then I will give you further information
@@AdeptusPsychonautica I know i'm a little late but are these still by any chance around to purchase? Very cool stuff !
Awesome, love this
Wow super cool well done 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💚❤️💚
Thanks!
impressive
Hehe never actually heard more of that speech than Shpongle sampled 😊
Excellent Rob. When is the next live stream
Thanks Dean. The next livestream is this weekend mate, I will schedule later today for Sunday at 6pm GMT
Well done! Is there a way to modulate/replace the patterns by one themselves?
Unfortunately not. The patterns are laser etched directly into the mirror so once they are in then thats it.
@@AdeptusPsychonautica so I’m essence, am abstract pattern may be modified
Love it
It's so amazing!
how can i build something Like this? are these just 3 semi-transparent mirrors and a marble?
I have a 3d printer and laser cutter
Awesome mate ! You stil selling these?
incredible
Im just curious how this hologram would look if you send it through a wide eyepiece telescope with a high vis tactical torch or placed the object between two 60cm concave mirrors placed on each rims with one mirror with a cut hole, then object at the bittom mirror produces a hologram in the hole of another
Yeah boyyy first comment ^^
ha!
Ohhhh snap I did NOT think that was from an object... You made it??
Yes a friend and I made it together. She is the expert in 3D printing and laser cutting, and I am the expert in trippy visuals 😁
@@AdeptusPsychonautica That's so cool. Terence would have been proud, I'm sure.
Hey, this is amazing. Is this still available for sale?
David Sugich is the most widely known creator of this type of kaleidoscope - which he calls Novascopes, of whose designs, you seem to have closely studied. It’s nice though, to see someone attempt to saturate the market with a more affordable, albeit lesser refined, product. I’d recommend checking to see if there’s any intellectual copyright infringement upon Sugich’s designs before proceeding with your production.
We did and there isnt
@@AdeptusPsychonautica Right on, best of luck.
Hi, i'm interested. How can I buy one? I 've sent u an email but you didnt answer
Hey bro can i buy one??
Did you ever start selling these?
Can the interior pattern be modified? Something that is not always the same?
WOW,this is so cool, how did you make it since it kinda remind me of the world most expensive kaleidoscope
I have a friend who has a laser cutter which can make the shapes out of mirrored plastic. This allows us to make them a lot quicker and more cheaply than the expensive ones made of glass.
Do you have a write upoon how to make one of these?
Nope
How can we order one?
Would buy
btw these are super easy to make- look it up
To call it super-easy would be a stretch since it requires either cutting glass or laser cut plastic, but sure its not rocket science or anything 🤷♂️
can you tell me where to look it up? I've been looking for someone to tell me how they're made, I'm really interested
@@novisnage same, have you found it yet?
Is this still for sale? Thank you!!
Yes, We have a web store where you can place an order with a few different options - shop.rainstone.com/i/ap and if you use the discount code ADEPTUS then it will reduce the price to €85 + shipping costs
Each scope is made to order which takes a couple of days, and then about a few weeks to ship
you got any of them laying around now?
Yup, although we mostly make them to order
teach us how to make one
Nope
How do I buy one
Hi Sam, I just sent you an email with the details (im guessing that was you on reddit)
I’m curious how these are made. I do stained glass and have made kaleidoscopes but I use marbles for effect. Is the motor faceted or something?
There is no motor. The effect is made by manually moving a light source along the length of the scope.
Please let me know mmaster - let me know the secret to dis beauty - really want to make these
Can you let me know if you are etching the glass??
And what crystal would you suggest to use ?
Hey mate, mind if I asked how you made the graphics for this video, was it with Adobe After Effects?
Its not graphics, it is real life footage shot with a camera looking into the object I am describing.
@@AdeptusPsychonautica Oh wow. Even better. Cool, I'm looking forward to the live show tomorrow.
Still possible to buy one ? The email doesnt work

what if u teak two of these and make like a "vr" goggle.. how would the brain react to the two different visual versions :D.. pretty cool thing🖖
Greetings my fellow psychonaut!🖖 I am currently trying to build this style of kaleidoscope myself. Is there any way I could talk to you and get some guidance?
Look at my channel. I’ve made one. I’ll reply and give you guidance.
Hey! I love this! Hope you are still active! Will send you an email!
OK 🙂
Spam.. it's a clickbait..
I don’t think you know what those words mean
@@AdeptusPsychonautica I definitely know what I mean to say, perhaps, you totally contradict the video content and the title, you stated home-made, you didn't show how you made it.
You should be thankful that, we still watch your videos, increase your view hours, and payout..
You should also be grateful, that we haven't reported the video yet..
@@gauravjoshi5570 sorry I didn’t realize you were a complete imbecile… my bad
@@gauravjoshi5570 It can be homemade without necessitating *showing* you *how* to, and their homemade process. The artist never said they were going to show you how, or step-by-step. In fact, why would they? It's their art and they choose how and what parts to share. Why are you so mad? It's like watching a toddler have a temper tantrum and making threats, over literally nothing. If you want to learn, just ask. If you don't wanna ask and you like it, just buy it. There's nothing misleading here. It's just you losing your mind over nothing. Maybe be quiet and learn how to regulate your emotions. Ffs.
