All the glow sticks really make the inside of the plane look cool.
When I was at Yokota, I would see day jumps all the time. My kids thought it was awesome. Seeing the Yokota area at night really brings back memories.
When were you there
When its no longer a job but fun.
It's all fun until the landing part. 😂 🙃
There is nothing fun about the two year training they do
@@user-rx3js1no3s trust me. its fun
When you have to endure 26 weeks of fucking hell just to have fun for 3 weeks knowing that if your parachute fails you'll die, it's probably not that fun
It’s all fun accept being away from your family 24/7.
ive been skydiving 2xs but i was terrified (my ranger cousin made me do it!) i loved it when my parachute released & i really REALLY loved it when i made ground! it is an experience! kudos to these alphas who do it for a living!
Thanks for your service, US Air Force!
Lol
Hello, carl
Respect! Highly trained and dedicated personnel
A MFF jump does not matter the height but at what altitude the chute is opened. Under 6k and it’s a HALO above 6k and it’s a HAHO. There is a HAMO but that’s not used very much and it really is just used for the ATAK program. So yes this was more than likely a HALO, pins clear by 4500’ AGL.
This looks like maybe 800ft. The static line guys not the guys going of the ramp.
Very brave young men God bless them one and all from a vet in UK
Trevor A. Ashburner-Cox weakest government they're jumping their own risks out. UN ops.
That's gotta be a tight drop zone. Nice view though.
That's called insurance against lots of problems. Salute to all jumpers!!!!!
At 1:32 when they open those paratroop doors, that's one of the best parts of being a JM!
And not a single HALO jump was made from that plane
Can someone explain this to me?
@@stevenkind4926 A Halo jump is when you jump from a high altitud and free fall for a long time before opening the parachute. In this case they weren't that high up in the air and didn't need the mask
Incorrect. A HALO jump is when you jump from 4.000 meters or above and open at 350 or lower.
@@magnusrix-mller7129 Thanks for correcting
Correction...they did conduct HALO Ops!
Man iam pumped just watching that guy check the door for no sharp edges.
Can't get much more fun than that.
might as well been a day jump with all that light lol
It's the air force. Never do anything hard.
No such thing as air force SF
@@jimbobby-lee1936 The only SF is in the army & that's the green berets. Air Force does have special operations units that work side by side with SEALs & Army SF. Have you ever heard of the AF Spec Ops Pararescue? Skilled at combat diving, sky diving, rock climbing, paramedics, SERE, etc.. Ever heard of the 24th STS in the AF? Tier 1 right up there with DEVGRU (ST6) & Delta Force. You obviously don't know what the hell you're talking about. The shit they do would make you piss your pants & suck on your mom's tit like a baby. Show some respect.
Mewn Tay what about MARSOC
@@user-rl8ji MARSOC is a tier 2 unit. The difference in the tier system is the amount of money, training, and equipment that is allocated to the unit.
Where is this DZ, does anyone know?
You have to trust your equipment and training. I used to be in the 82nd, and let's just say I had "anxiety" before every jump. The landings in division weren't like in Airborne School. Instead of having a landing that was the 5 points of performance of a PLF, most times, it was feet, ass, and head. Anyway, now I have knee and lower back pain, and I blame those jumps. Sure, some people had partial and full parachute failures, and some of them either got really messed up, or killed by the too fast landings (insert macabre humor here), but what's not often considered is the after career ailments that go along with the jumping. This isn't me, but I know of people who had a 3 inch medical record from 20 years of jumping. Also, people will actually lose an inch of height after 20 years of jumping, due to their spines being compressed over time from the impacts that go along with static line jumps. Just saying, but what do I know?
Also those parachutes that they have need brakes. So this way you can slow the decent.
Knowledge dispels fear
Can you tell me what the jumpmaster is doing when he feels the edges of the door before letting someone jump?
@@bc1301 Unless things have changed (It's been 27 years for me) when you run your hand around the outside edge of the jump door, you are checking for anything that could cause a cut to the static line.
Entered 6’2”. ETS’ed 6’1” here too!
Good bless America

Far left at 4:03 is a mood
@Vin Diesel Mr Strobe Light
Not sure uploader knows what a HALO jump is...
high altitude low opening, HAHO is High altitude, High opening
eyster10 and LALO is a Low altitude low opening.
Rarely used
Are you smoking crack. First one was static and second was HALO. Any jump where you do not deploy shoot right away is a HALO.
@@shakenbake7826 We used to do below 150-200 meter static jumps all the time in Battalion. Never had a lawn dart on any of them. Pretty touch the ground in about 10 seconds from exit. Just don't want to be the first guy in the door, well at least I didn't.
Bless our veterans
Military jumping is the best rush in the world. That DZ must have been very small for only one jumper at a time.
Ever since I saw Band of Brothers as a kid, I've wanted to do this
I miss those jump master duties!
My worst day on the DZ beat my best day at the office.
Im excited but i wont rush to get old enough to go ;)
update?

Does anyone know the specific name of the para-falls and the equipment they use for high altitude jumping?
Hey bud...love the video know it's easy to pull from DVIDS but it's also easy posting the videographer in the description 🤙"SrA Katelynn Moeller"
Seeing them disappear as one is just as scary as seeing them land as one. ...but no one ever sees that

oooAAh Airborne!!
Awesome job guys. Halo or not really good job.
This is exactly how DB Cooper did his stunt. Only he did this while raining and performed a water jump into a River. Also trained to do this under cover of darkness to covertly land men into water at night.
How does the entire plane gets sucked when the door is opened, like in passenger planes when the door is opened mid-flight, everything gets ejected outside, so why isn't it happening here? Just a question.
Bluearesoldier 26 i have no idea maybe something to do with pressurization
The A/C is only doing about 130 knots which is approx: 150 mph. You can hang out of the A/C with no problems at all. The average speed of a commercial plane is usually above 550 mph
Both of the above answers are incorrect. Nothing gets "sucked" out of the airplane because it's depressurized before we open any doors. So aside from being a little windy in the door area and louder, it's not much of an event.
@@Elmo9061butIlostmyhandle Not sure if you were stating that my response was incorrect for a static line jump, but I wasn't saying that anything gets sucked out, just what takes place when the paratroop doors open.
@@wbarn003 Gotcha. I think the OP was asking about a movie-like blowout of items from within the plane, which is an effect of pressurization and not speed. Hence my reply.
I MISS MY AIRBORNE DAYS
I remember my first jump…looking at the jumpmaster and the loadmaster/AF guy…and was like…WTF did I do volunteering again…as prior service (Navy) after knowing (N)ever (A)gain (V)olunteer (Y)ourself. Much later and still asking why 😉
What's the deal behind the green light? Isn't red like the common light used for night adapted eyes?
dcentral green on the back, red on the front. So green for go, as in you can follow it and red, someone is coming towards you
Collision avoidance in freefall and under canopy. You typically don't want other jumpers flying toward you unless it's a planned formation skydive. As the other commenter posted: Green on the back of helmet shows jumper is moving away. Red means the jumper could collide with you.
When they threw the wind dummy out I thought the JM's leg on the step platform had to be on the trail end of the aircraft (right leg right door etc)? 1-2-3-4- then I sweep the #&$^ing door......Is that still taught I went to JM school years ago and have been out for a minute. Then again, its SF so. NM
1:44 when someone does a thunderous fart be like:
Súper cool!
What a cool video.
They will miss this when they retire.
Wow. this looks like video game.
PACAF came together at Yokota to accomplish nighttime static and halo jumps out of a C-130H
looks like a hop and pop night Hollywood jump H/A/NT
Nice hard working
You need to toughen up ‐selmer,tn-
How many types of Ram-air parachutes do they use? :)
you know when that door opens its yeehaw
Wow so good
Why those long distance between the first jumpers? That first guy out was MILES away from his team by the time they jumped.
They were jumping one at a time in separate passes on the same DZ
I kind of think they were basically knocking out there night AJ duties. Some do this after JM complete, but I dint know AF rules. What I found odd is the guy pulling safety duties was using a free-fall rig instead of an AEBP chute. You can jump a free fall at 1250, but that's a safety issue. Again dont know AF rules (if these guys are AF)
Jeez, what are they landing on?!
I'm only 11 years old I CANT WAIT
Special forces isn’t easy to get into
And war shouldn’t be considered fun
Don’t be naive
Load Clear 👍 Fly Safe
Stat line HALO?
Lucky guys 😉
Got dem knees in da breeze!
What is the purpose of yellow cable which is connect to wire and to a person
That is the static line. Static line jumps are how most airborne troops do their jumps. They all line up and go out the door or out the back and that yellow line is attached to a cable in the plane and automatically opens their chute. that way, they all land about the same time and relatively close to each other. A free fall jump is from a higher altitude and the jumper free falls for several seconds (sometimes 2 or 3 minutes) before opening their chute. Free fall jumps are performed only by special operations forces (SF, and SEALs mostly, but some Rangers and AF PJs too).
But you are cool because you knocked out some drunk ass at the bar... lol
Definitely looks more like a LALO to me
I can't seem to find a reference to LALO anywhere in my T.O.'s or pubs... are you operating under a change that hasn't been posted yet?
No oxygen? But it’s halo lol
What kind of camera are they using
So what does it feel like putting your hand out of a moving plane?? Enough force to break your arm???
No otherwise they wouldn't do it
No it's not as bad as you think. For the static line jump, their doing approx 130 knots so it's all good!
Cool clip...looks like San Antonio at maybe 7000 ft...not HALO...and they are not geared up for it.
They were wearing face masks and had the proper type of chutes, just because its HALO doesn’t mean they are on oxygen, it IS considered a HALO jump
Way higher than 7000 . more like a minimum of 15,000 closer to 20,000.
And can you tell me what T.O. you're referencing to determine this isn't HALO? Last I checked, HALO operations start at 3,000'.
what is the route to get here and what do i have to do ?
crash !!! oh I broke my legs and I am bleeding !!! crap ... next guy who knows I jumped is 1 kilometer away ..... crap I am dead.
WHAT NITE JUMPS GROUND LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE WE WOULD JUMP AT FT. BRAGG AT NITE PITCH BLACK AND NO LIL GLOW STICKS
I sure miss the USAF.
Me too brother!
Larry Lauger Same here! Retired in 2002. Got my last jump in two weeks before I hit terminal leave. Got to spend those last two weeks running a CSAR exercise. We always had a blast doing them, because our training area was so damn far out...we would jump in a week eary to set everything up and just stayed out in the desert till the exercise ended. I had several good friend with Boarder Patrol. We were able to use BP agents as OPFOR, to take advantage of their tracking skills. They were able to teach the pilots all the tricks that illegals used...that actually made it hard for them to track sign or completly loose them. Gave pilots a run for their money. Plus they would drive in a bring tons of food for us to have freaking cook outs at night after the pilots got picked up.
fuck off
Larry Lauger Is it possible to re enlist after a 4 year contract in order to be a cargo pilot?
Luis A yeah I know a lot of guys that did that. As long as you had an Honorable discharge. I have seen guys that were denied reenlistment, got out...then walked into the closet recruiter's office and either walked right back in or got the cross training they wanted.
Also, if you want to be a load master... you'll have to be able to quantify for a Top Secret.
altitude looks hella low
3 miles apart.
Looks like they’re jumping into a city
fuck being a paratrooper, jumping in the middle of war zones oh hell no
No Go Pro footage😑
De Oppressor Libra

Can somebody tell me, why was not invited to the party??
5:02 the juicy parts
5:07 Route 16 my neighborhood
Cool
at minute5:00 whats the reason for that kind of jump?
That's how I get dow too. From the bus though.
Night jumps terrify me 😅
This is warzone
Hi
reminds me of that scene from sicario
Static scattered sticks
Whats tht yellow chord? I keep seeingnut in vids but its still attached even when they jump? How does tht work?
That cord pull the chute out as they jump.
The yellow cord automatically opens the chute as they jump out. that is why it is called a static line jump. A free fall is when they jump out and pull the cord when they reach a certain altitude. Static line is how airborne troops do their jumps. Only special operation troops (SF and SEALS mostly but some Rangers and PJs) are trained in Free fall jumping.
I want to re enlist. Ooh aah Charlie
Coooll💪
What happen with the cords? After they jump
The remaining safety or crew member will pull them in after the last jumper exits.
Wait, in the military you are allowed to have a different air jump suits like different breathable helmet/mask and parachute backpack design???
Probably not for the infantry, the one in the video were AFSOC, which mean they're an Air Force Special Operation Forces operator.
DEVGRU bois that doesn’t answer my question but ok :v
@@ultralaggerREV1 What exactly are you asking in reference to this jump?
The Gouch that why do SOME soldiers of the same squad have to wear a different backpack and helmet design while the rest are using the default loadout the military gives?
The Gouch just like in 4:03 the guy at the right is wearing different equipment design while the rest use normal
Red eyes😂
Seemed like they jumped into the abyss.
US soldiers never seem to have their uniform sleeves tightened with the velcro straps. It seems very uncomfortable, even dangerous in some situations.
what are they lol
1Guy1SonyVegas Airmen
Xbox 720 well then it applies to airmen too
If anyone wonders why that 1st person jumped out solo, its called a “drifter”. A drifter always jumps out first before the troops jump out, its to determine wind direction etc
No such thing as a damn "drifter"
@@wbarn003 if u were a paratrooper, u would know there is
@@Fluggaenkoechiebolsen Yeah nice try. I was on jump status for 6.5 years and was a black hat at the AAS on the JM Committee from 97 to 99. If you notice the it only about 7 seconds of green light so it's small DZ. Using a WDI is for the DZSTL to dermine the release point for Army aircraft. When a WDI is used, it's done "PRIOR" to any pax exiting the aircraft. The Airforce doesn't use a WDI for adjustments for the CARP. Prove me wrong, I"ll wait....
@@wbarn003 seems to be related of where u jump. Here in belgium u get 2mins time before the green light goes on and they always kick out a drifter first. I also have no clue what u mean with wdi and carp, we dont use those terms here. We also have very small DZ’s here, belgians are known to jump very fast. Not 1-3secs between eachother like in the us and france. Can u now explain it again without all those short terms like aas, wdi, jm, dstl, and other stuff? As far as it goes for me, ive never heard about any of those terms yet in all my years in the military, so u might just making up stuff here…
@@Fluggaenkoechiebolsen Well the answer as to why you've never heard of any of these terms is in your own statement. You're from Belgium. This video is the United States Air Force. All of the terms I use are in the Common Army Airborne Standing Operating Procedure (CAASOP) Everything I stated can be found in this manual. Here in America, we don't use humans as WDI's (wind drift indecators) If that's how you do business in Belgium that's, fine. The static line jumpers in this video are not "drifters"
Me landing into a limousine windshield because I just fell from Cesar palace

Looks like from godzilla 2014
Nice!
Just one time before I die
I wish I can do this but I'm just not man enough 😖
wreck'em tech fair enough mate, jumping out of planes into the unknown isn't for everyone aha
At least you are honest
id try but id prob cry lol but im afraid of heights sooo ;)
I know bro I want to so bad but I hate the stomach feeling on rollercoasters and I’m kinda afraid of heights. :(
