I was at warehouse punk shows like this In the mid 80s. This is the only video that captures what it was really like. I'd rather be old and have lived this life than young again. Punk forever
agreed!!!! the nominal punk scene of today is a mockery of what it once was. the kids of today really missed out on the real deal yet seam too full of pride to realize it.
@@nancybarile1529 who were the douches in the corner by Lyle (younger suburban kids) laughing about pushing the girl off the stage? They should probably thank Ian for saving their lives.

I give Ian and Minor threat alot of credit for providing this genre of musical outlet for the kids and proving taht you can be straight (edge) and cool at the same time. Unfortunately, I would never have believed this in 1983, 1982, 1981.....

@ChaseTheCapital They still have...something along these lines. I'm 5'4 and I still get out there. There was this really tiny girl that went to all the shows and tore up the pit. I BELIEVE IN YOU!
@TheGreatMeatFrog good to see the younger generation is listening to this. i had no faith in you guys... i think '98 was when i got my first minor threat CD lol. i was born in '90. i would kill to go back in time so i could've been there

What's hard to believe is that it's pushing 30 yrs since this concert. that's Ian's personal opinion and that's how he lives his life, I don't hear anything other than two songs on the whole discography that even really talk about it, let alone tell you you need to live your life that way

"Minor Threat" the worlds nicest punk band
Straight Edge Hardcore but it's okay to say punk band even Ian wouldn't like it cause he feels like punk is sell out!

I am still proud I was there and I still love it!
Do you know what happened at the begginning when Ian slapped that guy?
Gives me goosebumps on top of my goosebumps. I'd kill to go to one of these shows
I know right
those days are over
nothing will ever be like this again ...

Druqks5 I'm from the nw so imma need some education on this. Sounds amazing

Druqks5 he's right, most punks nowadays just sound all the same and dont dance at gigs

Really, have you been to a punk gig in recent times. The musicians all sound the same and the crowd is full of wierdos that "play" punk, and dont mosh

I noticed that too! 😂
Complete awesome madness. Soooo glad I discovered hardcore in my teens. Great memories.
Was Ian Mackaye's job harder than head of the UN?
Maybe not harder but truthfull, honest and better!!!
There's nothing like this chaos! love it
Man, this makes slayer pits look like nothing!
Yes, I said it! Slayer pits aren't as awesome or as chaotic as this!
Punk forever!
Punks were definitely trying to out do the hessians at this time
don't be afraid....I'm a slayer fan but that comment can't be more truthful
@Christopher Phillips there’s a video on here of kids jumping off the 2nd floor at a Minor Threat show.
@Christopher Phillipsthank you. I’ll gladly take some. Also make sure to wear that pretty maid’s apron that I like. 😉

It looks like every time Minor Threat starts playing the crowd turns into a mob of hoard zombies
