(First comment wow!!!!!) Here are my suggestions, as someone who still plays MotoGP 20 regularly: 1: The AI, especially their lines and track-to-track pace. I shouldn't have to run 120 AI at CoTA but at Sachsenring I have to run 95 AI. 2: More information (controller vibration) when you lock up and/or start losing the front, at least you'd have more than just a major shunt at random 3: Classic tracks in career mode, why are there like 6 extra tracks which can only be used in quick race and TT. Adding e.g Estoril over Valencia, or Indianapolis for Kazakhstan would be great. It's a great feature on the F1 game too 4: Being able to choose which races you want as sprints and which you want as normal weekends, not sure how this would be implemented tbf. 5: Tire pressure should play a huge role in races and setup, and since it's such a huge deal irl, why isn't it already in the game? 6: The option for a short qualifying session (15 min) in GP mode, would add another option for those who can't be bothered to do 2 quali sessions. 7: Mechanical failures at random, such as a RHD failure - it would spice up the racing way more 8: Classic bikes, god knows why they got removed for 23. 9: The ability to have a wet race at Lusail (Qatar), more for shits and giggles if anything. 10: Engine temps, in hotter races (Mandalika, Buriram, Buddh) you'd have to run the race on engine-save mode or you could risk a failure and run on power mode 3 11: Rumble strips shouldn't be made out of sharp rocks
I thought I was the only one who thought 21 has the best physics, apart from linked brakes I don't use any assists on that game. I can set the bikes up not to endo and be able to brake hard into the turn. On 23 I use moderate throttle assist to lessen the situp during acceleration. I've ridden bikes for 25 years in real life and raced a little too. They don't sit up on acceleration unless you make them to get the rear onto the fat part of the tyre for more grip. On a small bike you would never do this. Bikes do sit up on the brakes and need forcing into turns unless you are on a Ducati or a race bike with well setup Ohlins forks.
My wishes 1. More realism. If the Ai crashes it should at least affect their bike or they should retire in case of severe crashes. No spawning back on track, instead there should be bike pickup animations. 2. Race engineer should give you feedback. Where you are loosing time, braking too early, accelearating too hard, what corners are costing time, how are you managing the tires etc. The enineer should also make suggestions. If for example the bike is not competitive on a given track on long straights, the engine could/should for example suggest a different gearing setup. 3. LIVE leaderboard position indicator in time trials. Meaning that you should be able to see your ranking on the racing screen. Maybe even with sector time rank added. 4. After race feedback from the team / race engineer. 5. Live race commentary. Not for everyone, I know, but would do wonders for the atmosphere. (golf games have this) 6. warm up lap that YOU can ride 7. Victory lap that YOU can ride 8. Mechanical issues for both you and the AI 9. The ability to save default setups that load automatically 10. some sort of "acknowledgements" for overtakes, gained positions and other heroics. Be it added fan count or team feedback, but something In general the career should focus on you as the rider. I personally don't care to be a team manager / engineer on the side and mess with bike development packs etc.
I added a little bit that might be good for career mode. In development, player can change parts and it affects the bike, like changing aero, engine, chassis etc (change the bike model too) player can collect as much data as possible to unlock new parts.
I’d say these things for career mode need improving: More driver transfers instead of a maximum of 6 per season. It’s a video game, let’s make it somewhat interesting. Champion getting to use #1 (unless they’re a rider such as Marc Marquez for example (who hasn’t used #1 during his premier class career.) F1 Manager has this where Most drivers (aside from Lewis Hamilton) use #1 if they’re champion. Custom calendar: speaks for itself Wildcard riders: maybe for a set number of random races, wildcard riders (Examples: Michele Pirro/Danillo Petrucci for Ducati, Lorenzo Salvadori for Aprilia, Dani Pedrosa/Pol Espargaró for KTM, Remy Gardner/Augusto Fernandez for Yamaha and Aleix Espargaró/Takaaki Nakagami for Honda). More than one rider losing their ride at the end of seasons, instead of just one.
It's so frustrating that career mode doesn't allow multiple careers. Starting a new one means losing your current progress. It shouldn't be that hard, I imagine, to add the option for multiple save slots
i hope they keep the physics because it’s quite good rn, also classic bikes somehow need to make a return, and i also really how they add the south africa phakisa track, the track was so much fun in vr46 the game
1. The ability to change the full calendar including test session circuit in career mode jumped straight to the top of my list, given the amount of changes made in 2024 in reality. 2. It may be silly, but allow a race to be white-flagged even before the race (cf. Misano Race 1)
The perfect game would be with a lot of content like the VR46 the game, gameplay like 19 or 22 and a transfer market like this 24.But we already know what Milestone will do... I always say that. the annual games are a scam.
Thanks for this video. I'm agree with all the points you listed in this video. I think Milestone needs to completely change direction and make some effort for the community, above all, add content and pay attention to details. These are the keys to success for a game in 2024. In this game, everything that is impossible to achieve on a motorcycle IRL has become possible.
They need to do formation laps like f1 then do a celebration lap and go to pits. Also maybe you can do Manuel it’s so one of the buttons that you don’t use could be the pit restricter so you go in then the cut scene goes when you arrive to your pit. You get off the bike start walking then the engineers start pulling the bike in and improve it then when you go out the engineers pull out the bike you sit down do the manuel start then it automatically or you can manually pull out of the pits and go to the track
I'm with you mate, that's what I want most in the game, I remember from MotoGP15 that in the box you could move and be the pilot, you could see when your teammate left because when his seat was empty it meant that he was no longer there, you could also see the bikes pass by from your box.
What I would like most is to be able to create a custom map for the races in practice, just like the drivers do in real life. For example, on the straights, add power map 3 and on x very tight curves, set the traction control to 5 and thus be able to create a more personalized map for different sectors of each circuit. This would make the practice sessions more worthwhile. It's also time for them to add some realism to the sliders, as well as the tire wear. They could use the same method for the sliders, it's not too difficult to achieve a result like that. I hope Milestone takes notes on all this. Small details that make it even more worthwhile, I highly doubt they will pay attention to the community. But if they do something like that it would be a great surprise and there would still be some hope.
I need a co op career mode in the motogp games. Me and my friend have been playing co op in f1 for years and desperately want to have the possibility to play such a career with motogp.
The delay on physics is my main issue because so often I just feel weightless, just sitting there having a cup of tea waiting for response before anything can happen again, and it's just pain. It's way too floaty. Deliver direct feedback physics, and allow people to dial it back through settings to their skill level or just simply liking. Feedback from the bike is crucial on two wheels, and I hate to anticipate everything way before I should have to, and start applying input before I should have to and so on. It feels the opposite of cutting edge which racing should be all about. Racing should be sharp and crisp. They need to completely go away from the locked up suspension physics model they have added as an extra layer(terrible in Ride 5, but still present in MotoGP 24) to dumb things down. Your throttle and braking input should not freeze the suspension front and rear, so this has to be pushed off the nearest cliff. You should only have to rely on one set of physics while riding, because it overcomplicates everything when you need to evaluate a second set of physics in relation to what amount of throttle or braking input you got. When it comes to features and online gaming, there is one thing that quickly become the elephant in the room, which is the balance system people can chose when they launch a server. It's supposed to level the playing field between all the different bikes, but in my eyes it just makes every single bike worse. Everytime I play on one of those servers which sadly is 95% of them, I feel like I'm forced to play a bad beta version. The Yamaha is the bike I like the most of the motogp bikes and that feels pretty good in the unlimited mode, but once limitations are turned on I just hate it. That most people choose this stupiditiy is beyond me. That means you will never be able to use the full potential of any of the bikes, and who ever thought that was a good idea. The other aspect of this is that you have to learn two different physics of every single bike, which also adds even more layers of frustration, because why..... Just why........ Personally I believe Milestone actually are capable of creating a direct feeling and raw experience of a motorcycle sim, but they don't dare to do it. As I stated earlier, you always dumb the feel of a bike down through settings, so there's no reason not to go all out and show what you actually are capable of.
I know the curbs look nice on the TV but I've ridden over them in real life and unless you have absolutely spot on setups it is every bit as uncomfortable as in the game at speed. I have started learning how to dial the suspension in the game so the curbs aren't as bad, but there is usually a speed cost elsewhere.
They need to make more celebrations and cut scenes like going into the pits you go half way then it goes black, 5 seconds later your getting off, or pulling out the pits you get on the bike, black screen then your on the pit going out main track so showing the pulling in and out would be cool.
The time trial is not working (I got to play time trial for maybe 2 weeks then after that I still haven't been able to use it), more realistic gameplay, better customization, and the big screens need to have a TV view, not just YOU, it's completely unreal, the rumblers don't work for example, Jerez. Rumblers are a HUGE part of Jerez and you can't use them, there's sound bugs on the rumblers, no pit lane speed limiter, riders are still too clueless, and the tracks aren't updated. for example, Catalunya going into turn 10 has a big bridge or building above it IRL, but it's not there. There can be better engine sound. Another thing I would really like to see is realistic game times. People in the game are 4 seconds faster than real GP times, and the best is getting real IRL fast lap times. There's way too much wheelie even with AW 5. I know I said it already but the time trial needs to work. I don't plan to buy the next game because the time trial doesn't work and that's completely unacceptable. Top speed isnt accurate in the game. Riders coming out the pit need to move out of the way. Speed feel is completly off. Going 30 miles an hour looks like 5. Theres much more but those a few off my head.
GP 25 potentially uses new engine, from ue4 to ue5.. Hopefully they will change everything, makes everything better like graphics, sound, and most importantly physic
Unless they double the manpower we will never get a truly complete game until they stop throwing them out every year and just develop, craft, and update the same game for a few years while just updating riders and liveries.
I think that Milestone, with all the limitations does a good job...many thinks could be implemented in order to make the entire product better but I'm not sure the studio, as it is, does have the potential to upgrade. Somehow I fear that the arrive of Liberty Media may mean a move to another studio...EA Sports maybe?! I really hope not!
I have been so busy that I've hardly played this year. I'm happy with the game feel, best effort in a while , like since MGp21 but the game is thin on content like we had - want to see historics bikes, and historic tracks, managerial career, ability to have own team colors in all modes. a Challenge mode like we had before, some more to do when you don't feel like doing races etc Basically keep tweaking and tuning what we have don't make anything worse is what I want - braking, tyre wear, AI all need to be tweaked up a bit. I would like to see a championship where you start in Moto3 but with the 2023 bikes riders tracks and regulations, you need to do well to unlock and move up to Moto2 BUT, it's the 2024 bikes riders etc, to finally unlock 2025 MGP season. a proper sense of progression across the years. I can do this myself by switching games, play MGP 22 for Moto3 then MGP23 for Moto2 and finally Motogp in 2024 but that means switching games and the inherent problems in each game . I'd like to see it in one game. Great video thanks D man!
They need to do the old career mode, instead of the mid season test and then picking what manufacture and after the season getting 5 options, they need to do like MotoGP21-22 where you get a contract to another team for a season or 2 just after half way through. Also maybe you could change aero on the bike, since Honda did that loads this season so it must do something
Moto GP 21 is my favorite edition. I'd like to see the 500 2 strokes, 990cc 4 strokes and 800cc classes come back. They should also have wet weather leaderboards in time trials and bring back management of the junior teams in career mode. Better still even have the ability to manage a team in Moto GP class with other riders and you can be one of the riders in the team or on another team. Get rid of all the social media garbage on career mode. More development choice for the bikes in career mode like in 20, 21 and 22. Option to have custom teams and liveries as in the earlier games. If Milestone really want to push the boat out they could have a super career mode where you start in 2012 when Motogp went back to 1000cc. Each season the bikes and riders change to match real life all the way up to 2025. You start on a CRT bike as a rookie and have to work your way up.
They should include classic 250cc and 125cc riders. It would be fun to do challenges with Marc Marquez 2010, Dani Pedrosa on the Movistar Honda or Valentino on Aprilia. unfortunately Milestone is very lazy when it comes to doing this
Graphics. Basically PS2 outside of track texture and rider/bike. Basically all graphics. Oh and online races should start after 10 seconds. Get your damn setup saved and load it up.
