Aesthetically amazing, but that camera is jarring. Feels way too disconnected from the character, and the recoil looks a little wacky. Doesn't help that the character's direction is independent of the camera's too.

What is insane is that this has not been done in nearly 20 years. Supernatural ww1 trench warfare.
It really isn't that insane. It also isn't just one person making the game. That and they are backed by a pretty prominent publisher.

a story driven WW1/WW2 game is something pretty rare to see, especially these days, let alone one that unites both wars, this game sounds like a breath of fresh air
"pretty rare to see" Bro the early and mid 2000s had dozens of WW1 and 2 based games. every CoD game was world war, battlefield was world war, everything was world war themed lol so wierd to say rare for these categories. they were done to death for ages

Crazy thing is, this looks like a love story compared to what would of went down on Krieg.

Looks like Sniper Elite Zombie Army. With cooler visuals, physics, destruction and a wicked sick cover system. The complete absence of any gore or dismemberment makes my heart ache though. Hopefully it's there. I'm cautiously optimistic.
The kills look very unsatisfying currently. Hopefully a bit of stealth and better death animations are added.
It's pretty much ZAT but in WW1 setting.
What was sick about the cover system? Just crouching behind cover isn't all that. The option actually hug the structure you are hiding like in Gears, is way better.
The undead machine gunner at 1:40 also might be inspired from undead machine gunner from sniper elite zombies
also no weapon zoom? def seems early
Can't wait for Jonathon Ferguson, keeper of firearms and artillery at the Royal Armouries Museum in the UK, housing hundred of weapons from throughout history, to see this!
At this point, someone might as well just full on make Trench Crusade into a video game series.
That would be awesome and a little terrifying if they used the setting correctly.

Looks more like a concept than a game. Really cool idea, but the gameplay is definitely lacking something.

It's the sound design during gameplay that's lacking, but we can't really judge that yet because this trailer has the music much louder in the mix than the sound effects are.
The animations dont look great and the combat roll feels out of place

How many people make a game is irrelevant, it’s a video game, it’s being sold, it can and should be scrutinized.
Of course it should be scrutinized and criticized. It's inappropriate to apply AAA standards in such cases, though.

Needs a crawling mechanic and duck and cover system. I'd also like to see a survival looting system if it doesn't have an on the fly crafting system. Otherwise it's going to seem very arcade- which is fine too but a heavy survival trench war game would be really unique.
in my opinion, it would be enough to give 2 difficulties, arcade and survival, as you say, simply to give a challenge or just simple action fun

Bet someone gonna make a trench crusade mod. So basicly here is the lore: The holy war between humanity and hell is still going until the 1940s-1950s, there they decide that melee technology and etc are uneffective. So they dump those and start on developing advance machine guns, more body armor for soldier and other creature, armored Vehicles and cannons
Looks like fun but I'm expecting this to become a terrible arcade like game with unrealistic amount of health on enemies, even though this trailer indicates that it could be one shot one kill and is aiming for some kind of realism with weapon damage. Also adding to this unrealistic survivability take, it will define this games "hard difficulty", meaning instead of actually being hard every enemy will be a bullet sponge.

Very cool. The weapon sounds seem to really let the game down compared to the visuals. But that's very fixable.
