    This helps me understand what these are used for a bit better. I mostly figured it out on my own but it's always good to see it in action.

    Thank you,thank you,thank you!!! I made about 12 labels for my canisters thinking it was going to cut out the letters also. Nowwww, I see where I went wrong ! It was my first time and that frustrated me thinking after all that time I spent getting them ready to make and it did that! 🥴 I appreciate you for sharing your knowledge with us. 😊

    Thankyou, I've had a cricit for over a year and have been too scared to use it cause it didn't come with decent instructions. A question, where do you get the sticker paper to make the stickers? Is it just simple blank full sticker paper or do you have to buy the cricit brand??? Your tutorials show that it's easy to show an old dog new tricks 😉😂😜. I appreciate your work and even though I still haven't used my cricit, I'm finding my confidence is growing with each tutorial of yours that I watch. I look forward to the day that I actually start this thing up.☺️

    DS newbie here, but can anyone help me determine why my print then cut images will only print in black and white?? For the life of me I haven’t been able to find a way to correct that 🤷‍♀️

    Amy, this doesn't have to do with this video but I'm trying to make a save the date card in Canva and I could not get the numbers to line up on the calendar and look centered. How did you do that? I would appreciate any help!!!

    Random cricut questions for a beginner: can you use a 12 inch vinyl in the maker 3 even thought it's 13in. Will it still take just the 12... do I have to only buy smart vinyl?

    • @angeliqueleduc4916
      @angeliqueleduc4916 2 роки тому

      Hey I also have the maker 3, it’s my understanding that the regular materials are 12 inch (that need to be used with mats) and the matless ones are 13 inch (smart) . Your maker 3 will take the 12 inch regular vinyl but only on a mat. I don’t believe that feeding the 12 inch in the roller WITHOUT a mat will work, might damage your machine or void your warranty (since it’s going against cricut’s directions of use) . Hence why cricut states you need to use smart materials (which are 13) to be matless. You could definitely try 12 inch at your own risk without a mat . What I’ve noticed is smart materials are thicker in the backing , to kind of create a “mat” so you don’t need to add a mat. I’m my opinion this only creates more waste tho as you are “throwing out the mat” after each use of a smart material (backing being considered the mat), smart materials are way more expensive so for the cost of them , a mat and regular 12 inch is probably actually cheaper . Keep in mind as well that your machine feeds in 13 inches but cannot cut 13 inches wide !! They allow breathing room in both sides. Therefore, you can pretty much cut jsut as wide designs on a 12 inch as a 13 inch smart material , the only difference would be that the smart will allow you to make a LONGER design (not wider, the 13 inch width is misleading in my opinion ). Hope this helps. Kinda regret getting the maker 3 instead of the originall maker after learning all this (Ithoguhr I was upgrading ). The maker is good for extra functions like embossing and such but if someone is looking for a CUTTING machine strictly ? Then the silhouette cameo is MUCH better . Works without a mat and doesn’t force you to buy “their” brand smart materials (works with mostly anything ) . Also has a built in roll feeder (cricut charges you an extra 70$ to buy the roll feeder !! They are money hungry and I hate them for it ) . Cameo is cheaper but like I said , it won’t do the extra features, onyl the basic cutting . Depends what the person will use it for

    • @angeliqueleduc4916
      @angeliqueleduc4916 2 роки тому

      So in confusion , yes you can use regular vinyl and other brands in your maker 3! Jsut make sure you are feeding it in on the appropriate 12 inch mat ! And select mat in design space insted of mat less ! ( it will prompt and ask you on the screen when you are ready to “make” your project). You also have the option of using half regular half matless , wtv you have on hand (you can change the settings for every individual piece cut) I hope this helps !

    • @angeliqueleduc4916
      @angeliqueleduc4916 2 роки тому

      Lastly lol I think the extra inch on the smart materials is to mimic the outer border of the mat that feeds into the rollers (if it was a cut on a mat ), which is why you can’t cut on the full width when you are going matless as the sides of the material are being used to feed under the rollers . Again, I find this a waste of material so I just use regular bulk vinyl(much cheaper) in my machine with a mat :)

      Omg! Thanks for the detailed response!! Thank you! I so appreciate it. I have a dinsour cricut expression but obviously want to upgrade and was unsure. I want to start a small business and figured to get the newest so hopefully it will last longer. Cricut is in a way similar to Apple products. Only good for that brand. Im exciting! Thank you so much!! I'll keep you in mind for any other questions!!
