Yeah I'm sure this works fine with pencils but I paint (digitally) and it's never looked good when I do this, I paint with big angular shapes and when I do the eyebrows like this it looks too detailed compared to everything else
First of all, wow, psycho sounds great in the background (seriously, the instrumental was amazing) Second of all, THIS is just what I needed. The only good thing I can really draw is eyes but when I started doing eyebrows recently, it went straight or down and was all weird. This definitely helped, especially since this style is like how I'm learning to draw rn!

I personally do a mix of the two: I draw the basic shape, then fill it in. Afterwards I add the individual hairs to the inner edge and a few throughout the rest! It works really well with semi-realistic styles

also dont forget that eyebrow hairs dont just start at the bottom and go up, they're all though out the eyebrow- just lined up to the side in order to make that shape

I know it's supposed to be helpful but videos like this can discourage beginner artists from drawing cartoony or stylistic art even if they rlly like drawing it. Also, srry if it seems like I'm making a problem out of nothing, I'm just speaking from experience as an artist who has very stylized art and used to struggle with thinking it wasn't real art cuz it wasn't realism. I don't wanna stir up any drama, just suggesting you change a bit of the framing of your videos. Great art & tutorials tho, I hope u make more vids in the future 😊
Yeah, sure, if you want your brow to still look drawn on! This is not how a natural brow looks! Brows are not that thick usually and are made up of individual hairs of all different lengths and thicknesses, not 20 made up of the same exact length with darker ones only on the bottom. The thickness is usually in the middle of the brow. Most brows don’t have such a prominent arch like this either. And unless you shape your brows, they have smaller hairs building up to the mass part of the brow, not one solid shape like this.
The issue is getting the second eyebrow to look just as nice😂

What I do is just draw a line in an eyebrow shape, then draw strands over that line and then erase any overly long hair stands it never fails me lol

There is no perfect eyebrows, and there’s nothing that is perfect, there’s no way on drawing that is correct you have your own style dear❤️❤️
