I think it's his act, as it shows, he is perfect in social situations. Like he ascended to a place where he is so natural, that he is socially inept in the most social, loveble way.
I'm not trying to be boastul or flexy, but I'm the same as Richard. But I find it hard to express myself--or I always simplify it because the people around just don't get it and it's frustrating tbh. 😭
I'm sure you didn't mean it this way, but many people assume that those with social inhibition and anxiety are either just making it up and it's not a real condition, or are somehow intellectually impaired. Richard proves them wrong on both counts. Actually, those with SA often have to put far more thought into situations and develop coping strategies to deal with everyday events that most of us will take for granted.
Richard Ayoade is always impressive as well as endearing. His niche is....I’m articulate and intelligent but I turn up on programmes like this, isn’t that ironic?’. One day I’d like to see him on a programme discussing what he really thinks.
WOW! How can a person be so GOOD? Richard is ridiculously intelligent, extremely witty, exceptional actor, beautifully sexy, down to earth & classy human being. Seriously underated!
Under each of these Ayoade videos someone laments him not being Doctor Who. And they’re right. Richard Ayodade should be Doctor Who. He’s bloody perfect for the role.
Lemo ny Snicket I have to admit I find him awfull Alan Carr,I can't take his screeching voice, and its not homophobia, I've praised Graham Norton since forever, he gets the best out his guests. That prick James Corden has stolen that idea of all guests at once for his show. Can't stand Corden.
oh i was talking about richard what a mistake i didnt mention that lol. Oh my god i hate james corden with a passion too. his show is a cheap rip-off. but i dont mind allan carr at all though. he has his moments sometimes. still, nowhere near graham.
A. Your photo is very Joey Ramone esc, from another British comedian/artis. B.Allen Carr kills me only with the Overuse of "babes". But I find him funny it also doesn't hurt that he is kind of a mush up of my 3 best male mates, whom happen to be gay

Perhaps you could meet, on a regular basis, in a fantasy setting that cast you in your best possible light. If this 'place' was an environment that had portal access to the real world, such as Narnia, you could make brief forays into our reality and see the lay of the emotional land. Conducting a series of such reconnaissances, perhaps with a play to increasing their extensions through time, would allow for a synergy of experience that could eventually lead to Richard not only not hating you in real life but in fact demonstrating at worst an indifference to you in our reality whilst maintaining his fondness of you in Narnia, or, best case scenario, treasuring your existence in our existence and thus allowing you to dismantle your scaffolded relationship altogether in Narnia, or other fantasy reality with reliable portal access of your choosing.
Richard Ayoade is among my favorite English comedians. And he really made him self big in The IT Crowd. The next thing on my wish list is a comedy serial with Richard Ayoade and david Mitchell together, that would be epic. :)
Yes that would be amazing Richard is my favourite person ever and I also find David Mitchell incredibly funny. They did a show together where the quiz about quotations which is great although a sit com with those two with be so good!
Interesting. It is quite clear that your definition of "Hero" and mine is very different. I could understand "Gareth Gates" if it is due to his contributions on "speech impediment" treatments but the other two, odd.
In the absence of a reply from the elusive Gillian, who might have a bit of a complex about poshness, or alternatively lack of it, given that being 'classy' is suggested by her phrasing to normally require mentionable effort, I make my own fun. And perhaps no-one elses.
Picnicl well all-knowing pic, I've actually taken the time this past day to ponder over who my heroes really are as I thought turco's question was a good one. whether I'm "posh" or not is another debate.
i really hope he can make another film (even though the double wasnt a huge sucess to convince a studio to give him a chance) his cinematic sensibility with her acting sensibility could struck gold
I now can't un-see 'The Watch' and not view Richard as the winner of a competition to be in a film with movie stars. I have to say him and Lydia must have great banter to pull out that comment. That is true love.
I actually saw Submarine, because of the guy from young Dracula and becoming human pretty good admittedly I didn't know he directed it but that's a bonus :3
In that case search for "The Big Fat Quiz of Everything 2016", go to the time mark 20:00 (after a VT of nerdish students from 1960s) and WATCH. :) And then rewind a bit back to the time mark 18:00 for an impression of Biff Tannen bullying Richard.
What's so great about Richard Ayoade interviews is they are actually in character interviews similar to what Sacha Baron Cohen does with Ali G and Borat but people don't realize that he is portraying a character.
The Double is Kafkaesque because the movie was adapted from the short story written by Dostoevsky, who was Kafka's favourite writer and who he tried to emulate.
I think it's probably liberating for public appearances. Like a sort of benign armour you put on as you leave the house. Also, I think a lot of it's just him lol
he always looks like he’s going to be so polite but then he’s also direct and brutal and it kills me.
He can be pretty brutal, yes.
Many people seem to ignore this.
Love him though.
I have an unhealthy obsession with this man.
It is not very unexpected from someone with a sense of humour.
same here
It's so true
It's healthy. He's adorable and smart and funny. Totally normal to ❤️.
So do I!!!
"Don't thank me, I've done nothing for you..."
I understood that reference:
Best take down ever in history and well deserved.
Haha, yes that was hilarious!
He seems so socially awkward, but he has such a great objective understanding of social situations that he can create fantastically accurate jokes!
I think it's his act, as it shows, he is perfect in social situations. Like he ascended to a place where he is so natural, that he is socially inept in the most social, loveble way.
Realllyyyy? But he’s not. I adore his quick wit and humor. ❤️
I'm not trying to be boastul or flexy, but I'm the same as Richard. But I find it hard to express myself--or I always simplify it because the people around just don't get it and it's frustrating tbh. 😭
If he was really socially awkward he wouldn't be as funny as he is. Socially awkward people are less vocal
I'm sure you didn't mean it this way, but many people assume that those with social inhibition and anxiety are either just making it up and it's not a real condition, or are somehow intellectually impaired. He almost broke twice. I saw his lips twitching, but he kept it down to a polite almost smile.
somethingnewplz8 bored haha I love seeing him break
@@stayforthepeelpronpls4774 that sounds almost evil haha
CheeseyTaco Time omg ur right
i thought this would've been a terrible pairing, yet it was strangely endearing. i'm very impressed.
do you even watch Big Fat Quiz of the Year.
This is one of the better youtube comments ive come across, thank you
@@XxStonedKillerxX I love them both. Why can't I be invited to those sort of parties? 😭

He's not even British, and it's still true.
the shirt sock coordination is phenomenal
how can you doubt it wouldnt be phenomenal tbh

my thoughts exactly
your thumbnail to his shirt sock coordination works too
I've yet to see him wear a suit without matching socks

They feed well off of each other.
He gave his all to his character in the IT Crowd. He created a being named Moss who is beyond loveable. Moss is adoptable.
He's so humble, I love him.

He’s so funny because he literally isn’t over doing it or trying too hard a lot of it is actually his personality and I can not get enough
Do you know him?! What's he really like? How do u know him?
He's so beautiful
Richard's got me laughing within the first 10 seconds

Richard is one of those people who I love so much but who I feel would hate me in real life

" Yes shit" - Richard Ayoade, 2017
This man taught me not to respond to anger. Any time I feel angry just-
🙃
Richard is just the best, the most underrated guy on the planet.
Richard Ayoade is among my favorite English comedians.
And he really made him self big in The IT Crowd.

Petter Eliseussen They were partners on one of the big fat quiz one year. Can’t remember what one though

It's probably a little late letting you know but they both did a segment on gadget man together as well
He's cornered the market on being weirdly charming and slightly off putting at the same time.
“Don’t bully me” 🙌🏾🙌🏾 Thank you for saying that Richard!! Why do people who drink alcohol insist you drink too!!

Richard is one of my heroes. A fantastically hilarious man who is classy but effortless, he rocks!
Who are the others?
Ted Rogers, Gareth Gates, and the lady off the Shake n Vac advert.

Love Richard great guy, so funny, and a proper clothes horse, he looks good in anything. Always worth a watch. Brilliant
He called him quite often "my love" and it was endearing to see that Richard seemed to like it.
Bloody love you Richard
Richard would be brilliant as ‘Q’ in James Bond 🥰
No !!! He IS James Bond!!! He just doesn’t smoke or drink & he needs supper @ 4p
Oh wow, they're great together
If they could make an implant that goes directly into your brain so you have a Richard internal monologue I would buy it in a heart beat

And Alan Carr is always a riot😂

Nice reference.
Bobby Martinez loved that episode
Bobby Martinez “how dyou make that?”
