Great to see you get the car out on the track ! I have followed your build and have ended up doing pretty much the same set up on my '73 Challenger. 2 times out on the road course now, but spun a rod bearing so will need to come back stronger, faster (and with baffled oil pan!)
Thanks for following along sorry to hear about the engine. I would like to get on a small road course… but now am second guessing using a “6 pack” pan on my motor. Don’t really want to change the pan but think I should if I try a road course
I would have a hard time following that course- I would need a lot more chalk! It seems like there would be a long time between runs with 150 cars, and it doesn't look like you could watch very well waiting in line.
Course navigation is a challenge…more chalk is always better 😁. I believe there are 6 heats of different classes of cars. So there is down time and if you race you have to work a round … normally out in course looking for nocked down cones in a corner.
Very cool. Obviously your rules only dictate the need for a lap belt at such events, In Australia the bare minimum for any such speed events are a lap/sash seat belt.
Great job Wayne. I only noticed one traditional muscle car in your video and that was your Cuda! Your wheel/tire and suspension improvements made a huge difference. How hard is it to drive a manual shift car through the course?

I could definitely use better harness to hold me in the seat better. If I do more events I will see what’s available
Sounds like you were satisfied with the Hotchkiss suspension upgrades?

Our local autocross group doesn’t put down chalk. You’re looking at a sea of cones and trying to find the ones laying down.
