Thanks Brandon! This was a tough one. Any 100 is tough in its own way. As you know, everyone has their own challenges in these kind of races. You did awesome at the Hobble! Congrats on your podium finish! Glad we were we able to give you a little boost of motivation in the dark hours!
@@alexandereast4072 The vert on my watch and other runners when I ran it had 24k. The course description that year had 20k or so. so that threw my off a bit as you can see. I believe the course info has been updated to 24k now.
Base on my experience, I think Hellbender is more difficult, as there is big climbs with some technical parts. However, the Cloudsplitter course I did before is different than the normal. That year there was massive rain and they had to change the course.
Most of the views are trails under trees all. Nice rock formation. In the woods, so nice and calm. Best view in race is after you hit Mt. Mitchell and get on Crest trail. My camera was charging, so I didn't have it with me. But you can see mountain ranges there.
