  • We want to use our RV all year long as a place for our kids to hang out with their friends. We want to make sure there is a working washroom for them to use. Also, if we have guests come and stay we don't want them to have to come into the house in the middle of the night if they have to go to the bathroom. I was trying to find the perfect solution for the winter so I didn't have to deal with dumping the black and grey tanks. Plus, I don't want to risk the lines freezing if water is left in them.
I was looking for the perfect solution for this issue because I wanted something that wasn't gross to deal with, where I didn't need water or to drill a hole in my RV to vent a toilet. After a ton of research, I found the Dryflush toilet which seems like a great solution for my needs.
Here is the toilet I bought: dry-flush.com

Yes, please update us on how well this works for you! I'm curious and we are thinking of getting a camper soon.

Will do! So far it has been a good solution.
I was nervous about the black water tank before I owned a trailer. I was surprised at how easy it is to deal with. I like this toilet for the winter months but I’ll definitely be putting the water toilet back in when the weather warms up. I like having both options.

😆 I haven’t tried it yet but I will. It makes sense to save a flush 😉

Hi! Thank you for this! A couple of questions… Could you post a link to the thing you used to block up the flange? Also… Did you do anything to stop up the black water vent on your roof or did you just leave the whole system fully intact except for sealing the flange hole?

I didn’t cover up the black water vent because I still use the regular toilet in the warmer months. I put this one in when the temp drops below zero.
Here is the thing I bought to cover the flange hole:

I love the other toilet and am happy I got it. It just isn’t great in the winter because I didn’t want to empty the tank in freezing weather 🥶 😂

Hi does it have a smell and if you poop does it stay in the bag or does it go down to the black garbage bag?

Zero smell. It’s a great system. It stays in the bag. The black garbage back is there to throw out the inner bag.

@@OurBergLife Is there a lot of plastic that goes to waste when you refill the bag thingy?
