Outstanding, I just purchased my 3rd Can-Am and am looking forward to riding it. My wife and I enjoy watching you folks on you tube ride in the north country....Also, Great Job with the "Tech-Info"!
One of the best mods to do. I've had the Torq locker on my 2019 850XMR since last winter. Now you got a 4 wheel drive. "Ride hard and be safe" Nice videos. Minnesota Bill
@@justingolden In 2wd, you turn normal. In 4wd on harder surfaces, it is a little tough to turn , BUT, you shouldn't be in 4wd on hard surfaces anyways (unless you're going straight) I ride with my power steering control in MID range mode, and I have no problems in light to heavy mud. Thanks for the ?. I have had the TORQ locker for quit some time now and I think it's great. Like I said "I want a 4 wheeler not a 3 wheeler". Can Am has put 4w lock on their newer models just like Yamaha did for years. As always "Ride Hard and Be Safe" MN Bill
@@minnesotaxmr Thank you I appreciate the reply. I've seen lots of videos how to install or just in action but not really anyone talking about how they like it. I just bought a can am, and I am going to use it to plow, I used the locker on my Arctic cat quite often to plow so thinking this might be the best option to add.
Hello from Florida!! So other day was in some nasty clay mud and front diff made a wired ratcheting sound then it lock in both wheels to get me out. Didn’t do it agin afterwards. Any idea what that could have been? Thanks
I'd love a torque locker but very rarely need one. There on the work bench before you take the diff apart I saw the old piston you took out of Cass's Big Bear. I knew there was something about her bike on why it runs so strong. Lol. Kyle I do have a question but it's not about a bike it's about my mid 70's John Deere 450E long track Dozer nothing wrong with the motor, what is doing is goes forward a Lil while then starts slowing down then quits pulling all together. It was to were I could throw it in reverse for a short distance then back in forward and it'd go for a while longer now it won't even do that. I changed out the filter up on the fender beside the seat but no helping it there. Is there one under the bottom hinden under the belly pan at the back. Any help is greatly appreciated Kyle. I'm stumped on it. This is my heavy duty stress reliever
Mainville ATV and Outdoors I'm thinking it is Kyle. Someone had told me that a hydraulic hose could be collapsing. I had that happen on my tree shaker several years ago
Mainville ATV and Outdoors okay excellent point, I always ride in 4 wheel drive. So in 2 wheel drive there’s no effects or resistance to steering with the locker? I don’t know.
Let me know how it steers in 4wd I know with my halo electric it's a pain in the ass in soft terrain to steer with the front end locked up and a real bitch to turn around corners. At it's nice to be able to run an open front diff most of the time. And lock the front on demand.
Can tell a difference in 2wd but quite difficult if 4wd as expected. You can make slight adjustments but not much more than that which Is honestly just fine
I ride steep with large rock type trails (I know you ride mud but would like your opinion) and I am trying to decide between staying with a Polaris and getting a 2020 Sportsman or trying something new and get a Can Am Outlander. I don't like what I hear about the Visco. With your knowledge of Visco should I stay with the Polaris AWD system for rocks or go Visco or Visco with Torq Lock? Thanks.
Can you install this in my Grizzly? Oh wait haha... :D looking forward to see how you like it. I know Osta swears by it, but then again his riding style he needs it hehe.
I think you're half right. I believe that the machines should use the visco as it is generally a good system, but have a locker option. They aren't for everyone.
I suppose 80% of the people wouldn’t even know it wasn’t working! It’s the ones that understand mechanics are the ones that notice. Love the content thanks for the videos
Actually I can't tell the difference between y'all and the U.S. until y'all say A, lol, everything looks the same, just weird sometimes when you realize your from another country and the whole time it looked just like my country, except for the A thing, don't knkw what that is, I guess fill in soumds or worss that we all say, except we sont say A that I know of here, keep riding
Kyle your visco lock explanation, and reason for the swap is excellent!
Thanks fellah

how is it in 2WD, and how is it in 4WD if you have to turn at all?

What size light bar did you install?
When adding the torque locker what happens if you leave the visco in? I'm new to can am so I'm not sure I fully understand how visco works.
Dont leave it in, all that will do is make you remove it later.
What else did you decide to put on while you changed out the diff I seen something boyesen cooler ? I’m just in the middle of a build myself

Hello,it is possible to install torq locker in can am with abs and btc system?
I have an outlander 570 max xt 2019 with BTC sistem. I can install torq locker on front diff??

Is it hydrostatic? If so, first thought is a worn or sticking hydraulic valve.
Mainville ATV and Outdoors I'm thinking it is Kyle. Someone had told me that a hydraulic hose could be collapsing. I had that happen on my tree shaker several years ago
Do they make these for any CanAm max model?
Kyle oh boy you do more trail riding than mud running, keep us updated on how you like the locker.
I never use 4 wheel on trail rides, so nothing changes haha

Tuned in. Thanks to my brother Les Foreman for bringing me to this channel.
Right on, welcome
Your wife is great, so is her attitude. Cudos!
The insides of the diff won’t pop out the diff do you know why

that shouldn't even be a question. I'm a Yamaha guy, and honda fan,, bu when it comes to a choice between the big bikes, Can Am all the way

I dont run one at least yet but stuff I ride in should would be handy as hell!
Can you feel the clicker when running in 2wd
No, not really. Very rarely you can hear it
Does the visco have to be removed if you install the torque locker??
Technically, no but it is highly recommended by torq locker.
Do you have any discount codes if i buy a torq locker from dirty life??
We sure do, if you're ordering online, you can get 5% off the entire store with discount code: mainville.
@@MainvilleATV awesome. Thank you
No problem, happy shopping!
@@MainvilleATV what else should I be replacing when doing the torq locker?
Just make sure everything is healthy in the diff. Consider u joints while you're in there that sort of thing.
Looking at the sun help you sneeze? Lol
Works every time haha
Mainville ATV and Outdoors lol. I do it too
I sneeze almost everytime I go outside. :P
He loves orange color
Glad to know that the instructions actually make sense lol
They were really good actually. I hear you tho lol
I’ve looked online for a torq locker for my 2019 Outlander XT 850 but I can’t find one for it. Any help? Thx
Contact dirtylife.ca by calling, fb or Instagram. He will get you one for sure
Overall opinion on locker? Should do a 1 year review on product
No need. Works perfectly as advertised.
@@MainvilleATV okay cool! I’m getting one now
Why would can am build a mud machine and use a locker that could fail? They should pay you to do R&D on the muddling beast
