Turning Goku into a kid was just ONE of the reasons GT was hated. That's ignoring the boring storylines, the side characters not doing anything, the Super 17 arc being horrible, and the shadow dragon arc being trash. But more than anything, the primary reason GT was hated was because Goku STAYED as a kid for no reason. This series ALREADY is a step above GT in that regard, because we know that by the end of the series, the entire cast will be adults again in order to fit in with the End of Z storyline where Goku meets Uub.
It’s low-key dumb. A show as old as dragon ball it gets annoying to see things take a step backwards. We’ve seen the majority of cast as kids multiple times

I'm gonna be honest, if this series has the same vibe as og Dragon Ball, I'm hype. The comedy and feeling of the first series was refreshing compared to Z. If Toriyama was having fun while making this series, then it will be peak.

Toriyama having fun looks like the buu arc: Just chaotic storylines, but insanely entertaining. Toriyama being helped by someone else is when his arcs are genuinly peak: For example, the Cell Saga (Toriyama had his editor change many decisions) and the Moro saga (Toyotarou was helping Toriyama). Both arcs was when Toriyama had someone helping him, and they are both the best arc in the series that they come from.

Dragon Ball was the the height of the Creator's career so it makes sense that he would want to take it back there and also so the brand can reach an even younger audience that can connect older with newer..especially since some of the older crowd might have kids now. From a marketing stand point it makes sense..hopefully they have something in development for the manga 😢

Akira toriyama is heavily working on the project which makes this more exciting for me than Super. Super is just a hype based anime with over population of transformations. With Daima we might actually be able to see fights that require IQ instead of just another power boost.

Wether people like it or not, they will still watch it and the producers will still make money out of it. I was looking forward to Moros introduction where he smiles at goku, after noticing he was being tracked via IT. First villain or character to demonstrate such a feat. We still have the manga at the very least. Though I been skipping it, until the Cell Max saga is over.
