@@kirbysbestfan A lot of pmods often abuse their power and despite being a pmod, most don't know anything about the game which I do believe is what they are poking fun at. Not saying that's the case for you or anyone you may know, but it has been the case many times over for many years. If you're really a pmod, I'd do what most pmods do, keep their head down, stay quiet so people don't see your crown and do what you need to do in secret. Otherwise it's a good way to catch a lot of negative attention. :)
Believe it or not I did the same thing like a few days ago. There's a new scam going around where if someone sees you at GE with a friend, they'll run up to you and say something like "trade someone your Tbow for 500m prize", so my friend traded me his Tbow, then the guy asked me to show it and then said to trade it back to my friend, in that amount of time they had named an account to look almost identical to my friend's, and they sent me spam trade requests, I put the Tbow in, hovered over accept, and was double checking the name to make sure, and I noticed it wasn't green, so I was like yeah nah that's not my friend, but legit almost traded his Tbow away LOL, they almost caught me lacking.
I'm glad the PoH glitch was fixed because it seems like potential bug abuse central being able to interact in between the normal game world and an instance in a single tick. Gonna endup with Falador 2.0
I haven't played Runescape for a hell of a long time, every single one of my friends and I can attest to the toxic side of OSRS and have been caught in scams, lures, etc. and lost deep into the 9 figures of items. I just want to say how much i appreciate what you do for the community, particularly the new and inexperienced players.
Maybe someone can answer this. KempQ is saying he is risking his PMod status if he falsely mutes someone. But some of those scammers have PMod contacts who mute pretty much everyone who is competing with them. How do they keep their PMod status ?
its less complicated than you think: the lurers abusing pmod status to mute their competition in-game are simply (technically) reporting legitimately rule-breaking players for rule-breaking. so it's not as if there are false-positives. That's why the players that say "x username is a scammer" aren't muted, because those (while benefitting the luring organization) risk their pmod accounts, which go for hundreds-to-thousands with legitimate status in the market right now.
Thank you for muting all of the GE bots. I have wanted p-mod for the last year just so that i could do the exact same as you did. Every day i log into the GE the first thing i do is mute/report all of the bots spamming the chat.
Finally a player mod doing their job. Every single player mod I’ve seen, does absolutely nothing for the game. They need to be removed and given to those in the community that actually care about the game.

Got a topic suggestion that could help a lot of players in PVP worlds; There's a select group of max mage ahk rushers, who use a ridiculous stall you must've seen before, allowing 3 full fire-strikes in pvp before the character steps into dangerzone; This is the longest stall I've seen used with pking, having played since 2007... and the joke is that Jagex ''fixed' stall rushing on all the items of the past. Therefore, it's blatant bug abuse to gain GP over other players, in a PVP scenario... + ahk script use! I would sub 100x to see you and sir pugger deal with thoses pests. Only ever seen Gompie anti one for 1.5b.

Taking out scammers is great, but there's a double edged sword with taking out bots. I'm not convinced the bot situation is jagex's inability to deal with them. It's how much the game would change without them. You realize how much stuff insta-buys or insta-sells on the GE. That goes away if you have no bots. The game is already one of the grinding games ever made and a lot of the bot accounts are making their gold by doing that grind. This is what's keeping supply over demand for a lot of in game items. If there were no bots, you might not even be able to just buy skills instantly (or as fast as buy limit) because the supply chain wouldn't be there. Some bots should absolutely be taken out, but some bots genuinely are a bonus in the economy. This is what makes bots such a tricky issue to solve from the game's perspective

So the scam is to look up the company, try and track the "court order", in which you make an account and give all your information. Be on your toes. Court papers are just served. No one tells you beforehand they are coming.
wow the stall 1 tick on house teleports is something i would have IMMEDIATELY brought up when this was to be implemented. as a dev, i would instantly see the ramifications of this issue.
i wish i could do this, same with 1 day temp ban the bots so jag worker can confirm these and they all can be cleaner. bots are just insane and i know all places

Its so weird to me, i got my first tbow about a month ago and almost every time i go to the ge now with it equipped, the lurers come up and start talking to me. I just ended up turning public chat off.
As an avid RuneScape player since 2005 when I was just around 13 years old I am 32 years old now and still watch all of you guys doing such great content. I don’t play anymore it’s been a few years, have met quite a few people I have met in real life from this game and still friends with a bunch of people from back in the days, just wanted to give you a thumbs up, keep making great content! I wish jagex gave out pmod to nolifers who don't mind idling at the GE so they would actually consistently do what u did for a few minutes in this video. Most pmods just justify not muting anyone because "oh it's only for an hour" or "they just come right back so quick with another acc" like it's so lame who ends up getting the status and just wasting it, if i had pmod i would sit at GE for like 10 hrs with rs on my other monitor while playing another game & just muting every bot that came and keeping an entire world clean for days.
Glad I got scammed for full rune in 2006 rather than my SSN or bank info or something. Learned a hard lesson but I didn't really lose anything, and now I have a healthy level of skepticism.

Been like that for easily over 2 years now, surprised many people are just now finding out.

the ge bots that 'buy items' at low prices you can get stuck in a trade loop which stops them from spamming. after usually 3-4 minutes they log out

there shouldnt be a single bot in the wilderness. but jagex puts in mechanics that actively allow bots to thrive.
