    fascinating how Anna spends her time budget, long periods of deep thought followed by sequences of hyper fast play, several moves deep, seemingly fully planned,, that means she has to anticipate all credible responses to work this sort of magic, count me impressed, to do that AND keep the banter full on, wow!

    As a teenager in the 80's, I used to play racquetball on a challenge court. We'd smoke 20somethings. In comes this retiree with a dunlop over his corduroy brown shorts that were too small 10 years prior. It looked like an easy win. Oh... I scored a single point on him. That's it. He had us running around like cats on a laser-pointer... just ragged. I've never underestimated anyone ever after that brutal beating. Thank you, Mr. Corduroy for that slice of humble pie.

      You should have asked him who he was, I bet he was famous at one time, Kind of reminds me of this one time in high school after football practice, a few of us were sitting on the football field watching the cheerleaders practice. Well, this guy, this young guy, like YOUNG guy, but he was huge, like 6'6", but he looked so young, like he was in high school, but he was running laps, I just kept watching him like man, this dude is young, so on one of his laps I yell out to him, "Do you play football?" He runs a lap, and as he passes me says "Yep" Runs another lap, I yell out to him, "Which high school?" Runs a lap, passes me and says, "San Diego" I'm in San Jose, I was like wth? He runs another lap, passes me and says, "Chargers" So now I'm REALLY like, WTH? He runs another lap, I ask him what his name is, he says, "White, Bob" Then he hops the fence and walks to a house across the street.
      I've looked up that name and I've never been able to find it, but this was like 1985, 1986, and to this day I haven't been able to find that name, but man, that's an experience I still haven't forgotten.
      Almost reminds me of another time when I was working at an amusement park in 1989, this one kind of makes me feel bad, but this dude had an attitude like, "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" But this big black guy gets on the ride, he's got full leg braces on both legs, he's walking with a limp, and he's like 6'4" 240, just built, plus he looks older, he's got gray hair, so I load him into the car, I was like, to my co-workers, "I wonder who that guy was" They didn't even know what I was talking about, so I'm 20 years old trying to guess who this guy might be.
      I just happen to be the one who unloads him, now keep in mind, I'm born and raised Cali, I had a couple teams in the 70's, mainly the Steelers, but also the Raiders, I was more of a fan of the players, like I'd hear a name and that was my guy. So I ask him if he ever played football, and he says yes, I ask who, he says "the Minnesota Vikings" I was like, "Oh" Keep in mind, that's not even close to any of my teams, so i ask him what his name was, he tells me, which i forgot what it was, but as he's getting off he can tell I have absolutely no clue who he is, so he steps off kind of angrily, says his name, and than says, "You know, "The Purple People Eaters" Even then, I had zero clue until the advent of the internet a decade later, and he just walks off, to this day I've tried to pick him out but I just can't.

      @italixgaming915 Рік тому +2

      @@duroprem By "only move" I didn't mean that there wasn't any ohter legal move, but that all the alternatives were obviously worse. Like Qf6 instead of Nf6 the move before, If Ke6 is played, it's just worse for Black because the King can't take the bishop after Bxd8+. In that position the King can't even play Kxe5 because of the nasty f4+! So we would have Kxf4 (forced) Rf1+ and if Ke3 then Rf3# and if Ke5 then Bc7+ Bd6 (forced) Bxd6#
      Since I'm here, I'd like to add something. The Great Carlini understood that he blundered with Ke8 and asked at the very end "maybe I go this way?" showing the move Kg8. Actually this move is even worse because of Qxd5#
