No. Did your parents raise you stupid or were you born that way? Support Illegals was never the focal point of the video. The message is taking a stance against children being torn from their families who happen to be illegal immigrants. Dumbed down for you, "your family came here illegally for a better life which is against our rules. So you can no longer be with your family anymore." The message continues to speak against all the police brutality towards any race. Although the most apparent cases have been African american males. It's empowerment for all the hate and divide we see in the US. This proves there's no sympathy between these blurred lines. How do you think this next generation will grow up living in fear of police brutality; going to school with the anxiety of a possible school shooter among them; seeing children ripped from parents arms and put into containment centers without any education, extracurricular activities, entertainment, or ANY nurturing these kids need to ensure a future for them. Some of these kids are as young as 4 years old. I don't have the answer for illegal immigrants, drug and gang culture among minority communities, but I sympathize and see this isn't right! I'm not black. I'm not Hispanic. I won't ever experience the collective guilt imposed on them. But I know what it feels like to be a minority as an American citizen and until there's equality in America I won't stop being a part of the progression. Most people with influence are too afraid to taint their reputation but John Legend wrote a whole song and video as a fundraiser towards this cause. If you're too stupid to contribute towards the progression of our society as a whole to be an example for the world go jump off your flat earth

Whatever, let's start off with the illegals, it shows a white border patrol officer taking the child from his "mother," for all we know the child could be kidnapped and not be hers. Situations like this have been reported multiple times. That doesn't matter that is just the media trying to hit you in the "feels' to get you on their side. I do not care if we have immigrants they just need to do it the lawful way and apply. It is meant to help keep this country safe from alien criminals like the MS-13.
You are at a certain level right. The video was about being unified as a country like not seeing race kind of thing, but I called bullshit on it seeing as the majority of the "bad guy" side was made up of white males. While the side with John Legend was mostly Black, or Hispanic. The video segregated white people from the rest of society, saying that we are to blame for the countries problems.
The Police Brutality bit of the video was a pair of white officers apparently shooting a young black man for doing nothing, while his friend catches it all on video. While most police brutality cases aren't really brutality. It is the officer(s) protecting themselves so that they can go back to their families at the end of their shift. For instance, when someone of any race pulls any weapon on a cop they have the right to shoot/ kill the person who is trying to harm them, it is a fundamental human right ( the right to self-defense, kind of an unwritten rule really)
For your information I am still in school I am a senior in high school and have been old enough to comprehend the gravity of the situations in Florida and any other state that has had a school shooting or bombing. I go to school with that fear every day, so don't think that I don't know what you are talking about for one second with all due respect. I personally have almost been in three school shootings and have been in a school when a bomb threat was going on. I do not shame anyone in these situations because they are not easy to deal with.
The forward progression of society is indeed needed, but you and I differ in our ideas and opinions on how to fix it. Same with illegal immigration and gang violence/ drugs. I have my beliefs, and you have yours. I do apologize for writing a novel to reply. I just wanted to make sure I took the time to address all the points that you discussed in your rebuttal of my comment.
Toastah Toastah First off you can't just assume that the kid "might have been kidnapped" when you see an ICE officer literally ripping children from their parents arms. Just because you've read a few instances doesn't justify hundred of these kids separated from their families. If some of those kids were kidnapped at one point I feel really deep sorrow for everything they've gone through.I don't know the answer but it can't be kids separated from their family. That inflicts a type of trauma you and I will fortunately never experience and at such a young age. Ik this isn't a perfect solution but i would've deported both the kids and their families. At least they would be together. I totally agree MS13 is already a huge problem in our country and immigration enforcement should spend much of their efforts focused on the illegal gang members and gang families. And again obviously that takes a more meticulous approach.
Secondly I also agree that there was a firm statement in the video portraying white police and officers as the "bad guys." First off cops are human too. Ik there are ALOT of good cops out there but there's also a good amount of corrupt cops. When you have that type of power and responsibility it's easily taken advantage of when being careless. I've seen fair share of questionable police shootings but I've also seen many UNECESSARY shootings that have sparked outrage among the country. I'm not bashing cops and I also think people need to have these conversations to understand people that make mistakes should be held accountable to them. You and I can't both sit here and say 100% of police shootings are justified.
Lastly that's really unfortunate hearing that you've almost been in three school shootings. It's just really sad that it seems normal hearing this all the time. Growing up I never expected to see all these school shootings in my own home country. The only way for our country to progress I feel is people of influence of both sides have a publicized conversation to find a unified understanding rather than further divide us. Must be the optimistic American in me dreaming
