- 娘惹糕点可谓马来西亚最为享负盛名的甜点,不仅购买点极多如菜市、茶餐室和小食中心,喜欢娘惹糕的本地居民也很多。娘惹糕以款式多样、味道香甜浓郁而著称,让喜食甜品的人也在娘惹糕点中找到知音,再加上色彩缤纷,看起来非常诱人,洋溢着热带独有的饮食风惰,更是让人欲罢不能。九层糕(kaw chan kuih)是娘惹糕点中极为普遍和受欢迎的。 QQ的口感及鲜艳的颜色,冷藏于冰箱后甚至可当饭后甜点或解暑呢! Nyonya kuih is one of the famous dessert and there are available at market, kopitiam (coffee shop in hokkien), hawker centre and food mall. Not just the outsider, local also like nyonya kuihs. Nyonya kuih are come with many variety with tasty aroma and mostly is sweet in taste. Nine layer kuih (kaw chan kuih) is one of the popular kuih with elastic texture and bright colour.

Thanks for sharing your recipie. It looks so good! Unfortunately it has never worked for me on multiple attempts. I followed your recipie exactly with the same size and material tin, measuring cups, a scale and a timer but it just never sets. Yours looks beautiful!

应该火候不够。
请问每一层蒸5分钟用大火还是中火还是小火?
这要看你的锅,和多少层。如果是好品质的钢锅,中火就可以了,其它的要大火

是的。。但也要看你的火炉的火候和你用的蒸锅。不同火炉和蒸锅,火也不一样。普通蒸锅是用大火,但比较好品质的锅,火就要小一点。

Mr Kenny..is theres a reason that we should open the lid every 5 mins at the end? I am pruzzle...and you only use rice flour without mixing any tapioca flour? so your layer kueh doesnt stick in our fingers....
Open every 5 min is to let.the kuih 'breath'
I had made the 9 layers kueh many times...using more tapioca flour adding rice flour and a bit of corn flour.and very sticky in the end but very nice..just like what I buy from Bangawan solo shop...will be my first try on rice flour alone...hope it wont be to hard...

Hi..I tried with your recipe but the kuih turned out too wet. The flour is 180g vs 150ml water + 350ml water + 200ml coconut? That would be 180g flour vs 700ml of liquid. Please advice :-)
the 180g+700ml water is correct. do you set the dough for 1 hour? and do you preheat you steamer(plate) for for putting in the batter? and what is the size of your steamer and the material?
@@BabaKennyLohKennyLoh Thank you for replying my msg :-) Yes I did set the dough for 1 hour, problem is the firsts step when I mixed 180g to 150ml of water, the flour just melt completely in the water, it doesnt form a dough like it was on your video, sorry...newbie here. Steamer is 7" square.
@@junetoo280 hi June, you may try again. it should be form a dough. May be you double check the amount of water you use and the flour you use. should be 180g rice flour with 150ml water only. happy cooking
