As a D4 player (LOL meaning I'm 6"2/240 lbs and played serious league ball for years but not at any college) I really appreciated your video and commentary, which was well done and narrated.
Amazing job! Thanks to the coach for the cooperation. Very few people have the courage to spread their secrets. Thanks to you guys, because your analysis are always a concentrated of pure basketball. 👌
Do you guys have any documentation for this offense? It seems for Blocker Mover than anything else and far more abstract than Read and React or Dribble Drive. Also What do they do against zones?
Thanks Woody! We don't have any documentation we can share, but all the rules of the offense have been written about in some great "Motion Offense" articles online. They will run the same concepts against a zone, just adjusting the screens a bit. Coach Steinmetz does detail some of these concepts in our podcast with him as well if you're looking for more information on this offense. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/slappin-glass-podcast/id1528050811?i=1000488378410
Good Morning. It is a very good Motion Offense but it is NOT 5-out. Unless you mean "5-out of the box". The original 5-out is positionless. Here we have the bigs the points and the forwards. Any way, it is very nice offense but a little bit slow for higher level. Thank you. Good Morning
Thanks for your thoughts! You can listen to the podcast with Coach Steinmetz to hear his thoughts on why and how the offense morphs from a "4-Out, 1-In" to a "5-Out" look here...podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/modern-motion-offense-elliot-steinmetz-yeshiva-university/id1528050811?i=1000488378410

Basketball should be 4 on 4. Floor is too crowded.
