Any chance we can get some more 'Best Sets of 2024' or 'Best Sets of July'? Love those series/videos
We'll see what we can do! Thanks for reaching out.
great actions here. I love the veer look. So many great Horns actions around. Having a hard time to decide which ones I like. I tested about 5 options this past summer. Only will keep one for season. Maybe we add this Veer action. The action I kept is Horns with an elbow catch, fake hand off with the PG, and Fingers cut to create a triple gap for our best scorer.
Welcome to the Grizzlies 🐻
Please, Detroit hire this man
Hi coach what part of the play do you call ricky ?
Hey Coach, we are referring to the iverson cutter curling the last screen then receiving a down screen from the same screener
Isn’t this the Syracuse zone? Looks the same to me.
I keep this one, great misdirection action
Where can we learn more about shuffle?
love this action. I'm trying to run it out horns without too much success. It's not disguised enough or something. I like how they run it here to get catches inside the arc.
NICE
Good stuff
Sorry but, where do you see anything new?
Hey! The video isn't saying it's new, it's looking at what "Next" Coverage is.
Coach ,is 77 conceptual for them? 77 spanish looks to be a call. between their high slot flow and 77 how would their guys know what to go to if it truly is flow. in flow corner guy ghosts, in 77 corner guy appears to set the drag and slips to 3.
Hey! The "77" just refers to the alignment of the double high screen. Everything from there is either flow or a call like you mentioned. Thanks!
Stu was an amazing coach!!! Very very underrated

vulnerable for blow by and late contest
Very good video
Thank you!
Can also super aggressively hard hedge the ball screen, which then allows you to completely avoid the back pin. Seen a few try that approach here also. Nice vid as usual.
A peel switch essentially
Correct!
I'm considering a 2-1-2 zone with the "1" moving ball side in a free floating responsibility, double team @ the 3 pt line, if someone cuts through the lane, float back and cut off the passing lanes... just a high energy option.
@jdramirez77 Did you ever do you 2-1-2? if so what did it look like?
@@shantaylegans7254 it would be next year... And truth be told... It would be with rec players so it will look like a shit show.
Doesn't he get burned on this if the pass goes through or is Diaz good at assessing the risk and doesn't always go for those? Feels like his momentum is really carrying him forwards, vulnerable to backcuts or if the ball goes through on the dho, he's behind and in recovery mode.
Great example. thanks! Question: the examples above show that the 4 man is the RIP screener. what happens if it's a small guard?
Hey Coach, this defensive strategy can still apply if a small guard is defending the stack screener. Corner would still x-out and the small guard will close out to the corner.
Great video! Thank you!
Hammer screen no?
love it!
NICE!
This type of defense is mostly determined by the referee's criteria. The first two contacts in the clip would be called as fouls in 90% of leagues. On the other hand, I really like his approach and relentlessness on the defensive end.
Requires absolute Elite Footwork and Refs ;)
I get this 45 cut from the wing helps opening a drive lane for the player with the ball. But doesn't is bring an extra defender to the weak side who can tag the roller? What do you think?
the get action creates an advantage going downhill as the kings run these mainly for shooters forcing defender to go over the get screen. the ball handler will not have enough space to get downhill if the 45 cut does not occur and a quick stunt + recover would easily blow up the play and allow that trailing defender to go back onto the ballhandler. if the 45 cut defender tags down on the screener an easy skip pass can be made to his man even if he is moving its an open shot. you can also see the cutter setting a pindown screen on some plays to keep them from being a liability spacing wise. hope this cleared everything up!
Ok thank you!
👏🏽👏🏽🏀
You are the best ❤️
❤❤ awesome
Legendary coach. So many great memories in the Spectrum!
Thanks guys. the one of the best channel
Thanks Coach, appreciate your support!
That’s exactly what I ran in high school
We ran the Shuffle on my freshman team in 1979-80. It still works.

Welcome to the Bucks!!
Bucks got themselves a winner. Might be some growing pains coming up learning the new system but it will be worth it down the line.
Welcome to Milwaukee
I been using this defense this year and it has really confused a lot of our opponents so far
Way to use an original defense and not take something someone else came up with! And take credit for it.
Pay attention coaches on Coach Daigneault, great coach to learn from.
Obviously this isn't going to work every time, but awesome to see a "play" on defense against an action you see all the time.
great execution with layers of different actions
1.21 Baseline cut should be when 5 guy is rolling to have the helper busy and give "space" to the shooter
Excellent video, thank you
This works when the ballhandler hangs out on the perimeter. A counter would just be to attack the big immediately or hit the mismatch down low.
In the 1st clip, you could see the corner guy wide open with his defender in the gap. They could easily pass via him to the Roller in deep Position… it seems to me, that Nobody These days even try to punish those mismatches in the Paint any More and only look for actions from the perimeter
@@davidlemper6748 cons of the new isolation fetish and highlight reels. less flashy straightforward concepts lost to the ages.
Thank you
I think when they do next defense and you want to get an open shoot you don'twant this screen 1'50" ... guard just stay 45° and big seal inside
The flow into floppy is a beauty
They miss the lay up in both clips... And the pass isn't even bad
