Is there an inexpensive wire we can practice/learn with? The whole process of wire wrapping is intimidating as heck for me! So beautiful! Creative.....thank you for mak8ng it all look easy!
When I was learning wire wrapping, I would practice with bare deadsoft copper wire. It's very forgiving and cheap. You can find copper wire from many hardware stores. Online sources I love are Rio Grande or Monsterslayer. You can also recycle wire from old appliances. To start I recommend 26 gauge, 20 gauge, and 16 gauge; all round wires for now. You can modify many online designs with these gauges.
I love your wire work demos. They're all so beautiful and I'm learning a lot. You use shapes of wire that I've never worked with such as half round and square. Could you sell a mixed shape wire kit that has wire in these shapes? Or could you include some in the findings kit if you are going to demo a project that needs a specific nonstandard shape?
Hi Leanore, that's a good idea to put some practice wire into the findings kit. I'll see what I can do. Right now we tend to make up the models after I have put the components into the boxes, so I don't always know what we're going to end up using. I'd like to get to the point where the models are being made before I have to decide on the box contents.
Hiya, Melonie. I don't see why you couldn't use this technique with almost any top drilled pendant stone. But Chip is kind of small, if that is the pendant you were thinking of using. We will try to get more pendant tutorials out for you, soon, to give everyone a few more things to try.
Lovely piece. Really enjoy the tutorials, and the friendly banter.
Love this in making crescent moons. Those are the ones that are selling the most. I like the clasp

Brilliant design and beginner user friendly. If you have written instructions I would love a copy. Thanks for a great video! 💙
Thank you. I love having written instructions, but there hasn't been time to get this particular project down on paper yet. I'll see what I can do.

Way to throw Dear Debbie under the bus! Shame on you two!!!! 🤣
😁
Believe me, Debby can take care of herself.
Can you do this with a triangle? Want to use it on my September orphan

I was thinking of Chip but I could always try it on Empress (picture jasper) with copper wire
Of course! This design is so adaptable to any pendant size or shape. Have fun experimenting.
