THIS DLC IS TRASH.....I'M AT LEVEL 17 WITH HAVE 5 MYTHIC LATH AND I STILL CAN'T BEAT THE END BOSS FOR THE ISLAND RUN THROUGH WHEN YOU GET TO THE ABYSS.....OHH AND THE GAME IS ON EASY

I have been curious about the new items; and now my curiosity has been satisfied. I'm in chapter 3 with my current playthrough and have been putting off buying the DLC because I thought it started in chapter 4. It looks like I should go ahead and buy it though.

FYI, Lucky Hand Sandwich is not new. The recipe is found in the base game..... in Enigma. Basically, it's way too late into the to enjoy it much like Conflagrant Taco. Still, at least the DLC will give an opportunity to find one earlier.
Oh, I must have absolutely forgotten about it, haha.
Probably from the trauma of Enima Dungeon, since I pretty much almost never do it on reruns.
@@cRPGBro you can actually buy all the recipes from the merchant standing with the helmsman in the cave in act 3. Actually, you can basically buy every non unique magic item from him.
Robes of seven sins allows any class (and mythic path) to have round based spells last 24h. You can have +2 caster level by completing the Storyteller's quest, and with the +3 from the robe, makes it 25 caster level, which is the minimum needed for 24h round based spells.
That is to say, your character reaches 20th caster level naturally, so dipping into other classes will ruin this strategy
Yeah, the Robe really is an amazing addition overall especially for non mythic merge casters like Azata and Demon.
I was about to ask that in the comments :D Can you tell me when the storyteller's quest can be completed, I don't remember. Isn't it basically at the end of the game when you give him the last page?
@@stephan4921 There are more pages in the world than needed to complete the quest. I'd recommend looking it up, but from what I recall you need to bring the Storyteller 9 pages to complete his quest. If you manage to grab every single one without missing, I belive it's possible to finish the quest during act 4 (Abyss) or during act 5 by doing all the puzzle shenanigans with Nenio and Areshkagal.

@@cRPGBro @Eduardo Thanks, I wasn't able to find anything online, it just said 'not all pages are required', but not really how many or which are required. I guess I'll find out when enhanced edition drops :D
The Broken Trickster mask is for clerics so that they can boost wis and char beyond eagle and owl buffs while still wearing a phylactery of channeling, in my opinion. I put it on Sosiel. It also helps protect him when he is close to the action with his glaive.
This DLC makes everything so much smoother: more exp to level up faster, tons of great items, and tons of gold. Also you can access the vendor for all of the food ingredients until you complete the run.
Yep, the DLC is really fun for that!
yes it really makes everything smooth including my brain trying to play thru this garbage to get the one item i need without going insane, its so shit it feels like im playing king maker again

Great video. I'm pretty sure the Lucky Hand Sandwich recipe was already in the base game, hidden in the Enigma. Maybe I'm wrong.
Edit: yeah, for sure it's in the base game. I just loaded a save from act 5 and saw that I had that recipe. And I haven't had a chance to play the TMI DLC yet at all, haven't stepped a foot there yet. I'm not 100% sure it's from the Enigma but it's definitely in the game.
For a Mobility 3 Trickster that sandwich is amazing. A Spelldancer would be unhitable.
Does the bashing shield work with Warpriest sacred weapon? Can a Shieldbearer with legendary proportions get 12D8 with a shield bash?
Surprising that the ultimate weapon comes from the second to last boss. Would have thought it would drop off the ultimate one. Can't complain about a glaive that nice though.

As a matter of fact, I don't think the final boss drops anything worthy which is kinda sad.

The Robe of the Seven Sins may no longer drop at Isle 2-1. It's possible when they changed it to work as intended, only giving caster levels and not class levels, they moved it to another isle. Currently running the isles looking for it. I'll update if I find it.
Bullwark can provide higher AC during the earlier parts of the game due to access to free Pet Armor, before you are able to find highly enchanted Bracers of Armor that come at upper mid/late game only.
I found a consumable called bloody meat that gave me a permanent +2 bonus to athletics and fortitude saves.

So is the Disfigured Angel impossible to acquire?
Has the Robe of the Seven Sins been nerfed since? It does not seem to increase the caster level directly like shown in the video anymore - it just gives the bonus like all the other caster level items.
Regarding the 5 charges of the Rod of Magical Affinity - the Trickster's Mythic trick Reuse magic item does seem to work with it - Trickster can use the rod infinitely many times every day. Regarding the Bolster buff, that worked for me when testing with Hellfire Ray (the log never mentions Bolster explicitly though, there is always just unlabeled +X damage in the details) .
Nope , it wasn't nerfed, I believe.
It's just that before it was added on the Spellbook sheet too which made some things not work correctly like being able to acquire Mythic 10 spells earlier.

Yeah, for the classic dungeon crawling experience I'm also glad there are some neat items to be found in the story mode of the dungeon!
+7 isnt the highest as it also stacks with the Tricksters added bonus so you can get at least a +8 out of it. This may be a bug, but I have been finding +1 and +2 weapons that are +6 when picked up by my Trickster with only two levels into the trick.
Yep, it is true that you can turn even Radiance into +7 with Trickster, but limilited to it only 😁

The really good metamagic rod - does it get infinite uses with Trickster UMD 2 Trick? Absurd if so!
I'll give it a test, but I don't think so.
Trickster UMD2 is only meant to work with Wands, not Rods, I believe.

The first one is very story centric, Inevitable Excess. Basically takes place before the final boss events wise.
Second is also story centric, but deals with other characters that aren't the main party, sadly.
Third (this one) is mostly dungeon crawl indeed.

That is true, but thankfully as far as Undead Companions anyways, the Lich Cloak can highly increase their CHA.

How exactly do you apply two food bonuses at the same time?
Rest and apply the first food buff, then rest again and so long as the second rest lasts for less than 24h, you can also apply a second food buff!

@@zarddin9561 No they would work with ranged weapons as well. Tip: when you use special arrows on a ranged vital strike it doesn't consume the arrow. this is why I'm gonna test to see if evercold will interact the same way

I tested it, and unless I did something wrong, I believe unfortunately the extra attack isn't really counted for Vital Strike.

I'm confused. The snakeskin leather armor says its max dexterity is 6. Woudn't that limit the dex?
Yes, but only for armor class purposes.
It will still fully be applied for AB of ranged attacks or let's say with Weapon Finesse for melee.

It can be accessed as early as Chapter 3, but also during Chapter 4 & 5 even if you didn't before.
I'd like to see a guide for all the best items in the game.
That would be nice, I could make a video with the best items overall for each category.
Currently I have only the best of each group, such as best Scimitars, Longswords etc.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe the sources of DR often stack that way.

How did you get past the island in the 3rd set that has no exit? :(
Hmmm it could be the exit is a tough place to spot, sometimes the map areas are like this.
But all the Islands on the 3rd set should have an exit, with the final Island on having a boss.
@@cRPGBro nah its a bug, read other ppl also had it happen, its the prison isle, know where exit is supposed to be but it shows no door icon there.

How do I access this with end game characters?
If you are at Chapter 5, just skip a few days, then enter the main room at Drezen Citadel.
You'll get an event with an NPC called the Helmsman to start the DLC.
Has anyone tried Evercold with Vital Strike?
I tried it out but unfortunately it seems the extra attack bonus from Evercold is not applied.

DC25 is not a decent DC...
I meant it can be decent for something you get at Chapter 3 and procs on attack, but yes, it soon gets outclassed.
