Just wanted to say a big THANKS!! i found your channel last week and saw your method for using a steam cleaner on the printhead. I have an Epson wf-7015 that had been stood for two and a half years. I pulled the printhead and used my steam cleaner on it, then ran ink cleaning fluid through it several times and it works like new again. I would have never thought of using a steam cleaner on the printhead!! thanks again.

@@anthorana1 hi Anthony. You can now buy waste tank for 16500. It will not lockup like 1430. I bought my waste tanks from Adorama camera. I bought 3 so I save on shipping. There is no shelf life on those

I think there is a hard physical limit of 1 million read/write on the chip. However, each reset may reset a few thousand read/write, so it's not actually unlimited but you can use it A LOT before the chip gone bad.
You may have a malfunctioning chip. If you bought from Amazon, it is possible someone swapped the maintenance tank too. It's better to contact the seller or Epson.

Why buy this for $60 when a new waste tank is $12.99? I don't understand. Am I supposed to rinse out the sponge too?
