Hint! To feed the cable through the rear rubber hose, get an 11" zip tie and feed it through. Use electrical tape to tape the end of the cable to the zip tie.
I struggled for a while, but the zip tie method took me 30 seconds. Leave the zip tie taped on to fish it through the final holes. Good luck!

Thanks for doing the video! I got a FitCamX for the Passport and it looks like a factory install since theres no camera hanging from the window. You can't even tell the I have a dash cam. The front camera comes with a replacement cover for existing collision camera and has a hump in it that also houses the dash cam. It connects into the dome lights for power too so its really easy to install. I was needing your video to see how to run the wires to the rear. Keep posting videos for the Passport!👍

25 year 12v installer here: Just wanted to warn anyone following this video that running the cable in the manner depicted in this video may result in your side curtain airbags from not deploying correctly in a crash as the airbag will get hung up on that wire that is now in its pathway. The correct way to do this is to fish the wire down towards the middle of the headliner so that it is not in the path of any airbag.

Thank you for this video which really helped. I was trying to figure out the best way to run wires to the back and you helped me tremendously. Took less than 30 minutes. You're right, the rubber grommet was a pain in the ass. Lol

    Very nice! Two Questions:
    1) Do you mind sharing what dash cam and model you went with?
    2) Where did you tie into the vehicle's 12V power?
    Thanks!

Not sure what she has, but I got the Fitcamx w/rear camera for the Passport and it looks like a factory install. You cant even tell its there and it taps into the dome lights harness for power. Looks like it's built in!

Great video, thanks for posting. I just bought a 2023 Honda Passport. Did you wire the dashcam into the fusebox? Or , just use the USB cable to plug it into the cigarette lighter port? How did you power the dashcam?

      Thank you!
I bought the adapter kit that lets you tap into the fuse box. So it has power 24/7.
I then bought a second suction cup holder and used the cigarette plug and put those in my second car. So no matter which car I drive I can snap in the Dashcam and roll! The second car only has power when the car is running and no rear camera.

@@DebbiesPassport22 on the passport are there two empty fuse spots or did you have to use a break out thing to tap into an existing populated fuse spot, i know some cars have extra fuse slots that are live but not being used

@@AndrewJamison79 I got the Fitcamx and it comes with an adapter/harness/splitter to tap into the dome lights. They offer an optional parking mode cable (OBD2 or Fusebox version), but I didnt want/need that. Mine turns the camera on when the lights have power 1) when car is running 2) if you turn off the car and stay inside 3) when you unlock the car by keyfob and 4) when you lock the car and walk away the cam stays on for a minute or so.
