Great video of you and Jason larking! You guys found some incredible stuff. The last one was amazing too Indian head , but what is it on? It looked similar to a spark plug. Have an awesome weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
@@oklahomamudlarker8370 I have found several with a metal detector over the years. Think of an old photo of a man in a suit with a vest. Always has a chain hanging from one small pocket. All you see is the chain. On one end of the chain is his pocket watch. Somewhere on the chain is the key. Newer watches has a twist knob on top of the watch to wind it. Old watches used a tiny key. That’s what you have. Gotta be late 1800s. On the opposite end of the chain it had a “T bar” that would slide into the same hole as one of the buttons. That held it secure. Look up pocket watches and chains and keys. Pictures will show you better than I can explain. Something else they would do is have small charms and trinkets made from gold or silver hanging on the chain. Like a precursor to a charm bracelet a girl in the 1950s Started wearing. These were called watch fobs. Look that term up “watch fob” . Many business put a logo on a fob and gave then away as advertising. Politicians handed them out along with many different kinds of people who wanted free advertising. They range from plain brass to gold. That’s a hobby in its own. I’ve dug up many pocket watches as well but never a gold or silver watch. Most were plated. Need anything identified or help send me a friend request. Oh way back towns made creeks a spot to dump garbage. It kept the smell down but they never thought of the environmental damage. One of your videos I saw a spot in the edge of the creek where it had to be an old dump. So many good items in the old dumps. Snapshot into that time period. That’s why you find so many dishes bottles and other items that have no reason to be in a creek. I’m in Louisville and at one time the entire city water front was the city dump. Just dump it in the water turn a blind eye to it. They were not intentionally destroying the environment but the thought of damaging it with pollution was not even a thought.
