Scott, you nailed it. This is the ultimate practice guitar. No cables, no hassles, just pick it up and get the job done. Add a bluetooth learning app and ear buds and you’ve got a wireless go anywhere silent practice rig.
If youre a senior player who has retired from the heavy lifting and never ending grind of equipment set up, this is for you. A very playable guitar, and all the signal processing you really need in one instrument. It also receives bluetooth for playing with songs on your phone through the built in speaker. You aren't giving up anything you really need, and are gaining an easy way to keep playing without a laborious set up process. And honestly, it's a fine guitar.
There is a tuner in the Enya app along with quite a bit of other stuff under tools. Drum machine, Metronome, & Tuner. Which can be blue toothed to the Nova Go Sonic speaker. There is also Basic Chords, Cord Finder, & Cord Dictionary. Guitar hits a lot of buttons
@@ScottUhlMusic Totally agree, go to the app is kind of like plugging in an amp. Nothing too hard but a pain. But at least it's got one. Go ENYA thanks Scott
I almost didn’t watch this video cause I couldn’t see myself with something like this, but I’m lazy as well and hate the set up it takes to get a usable sound to practice with. I spend too much time practicing unplugged so this is just making sense. Thanks
My Modulus Quantum 5 bass has a carbon fiber neck and a phenolic fretboard. Stays in tune unless it’s been on a stand in sunlight. For a guitar like this, if going “all in” on this platform, I would definitely have a second one set up as a twin for back up. For learning, something like this isn’t lazy, it’s efficient 👍🏼
I'd love to use this on the stage I understand you can't use the onboard effects but I assume it to be quite possible however then you'll have to put up about the 'what will other people think'
Ah yes, when I think of Enya music, I think of guitar. [Edit] Maybe it's beyond the use case of what the guitar is intended to provide but an effects signal loop to plug in an effects box or wah pedal would be pretty damn sweet. Also, that's a phenomenonal price point.
Hi Scott. Do you think it's possible to replace the nickel frets with stainless steel? Seeing the fretboard in the video, it looks to be fused or even molded into the neck.
I am gonna ask a question so I can try to avoid thinking on how much I want this guitar!!! (the new colors didn't help - at all !! :( I just watched a video where the guy was using a Wireless XLR sys to connect the Helix to the PA... personally I thought it was genius. Any pros/cons on using that vs using a regular guitar wireless system to do that (again, from the Helix to the Mixer) Thanks man! Hope Enya sends you more stuff! hehe
Yup! You can do that for sure. I’ve done that as well 🤘 best one I’ve found is the new Shure slxd portable one: ua-cam.com/video/w2lR9TditUc/v-deo.htmlsi=6MsOWYUEAEKyjrah

I was waiting for your words on this! This is the first video where this guitar sounds good and usable. Man, other reviews make it sound terrible! My only concern is, again, about the built in battery... what will happen when it inevitably dies? Is it user-replaceable?
The first time I i heard that offspring song was in a DBZ AMV video with future Trunks and future Gohan vs the Androids, downloaded through BearShare. Damn, I'm old.
@ScottUhlMusic thanks scott I can sleep peacefully tonight! But it does remind me of a song ,probably something from Alice in chains or Pink Floyd!Love from India!
I've wanted one of these since seeing other YTers review them. It's just so hard to justify another guitar when I have so many. Maybe you can give this one away for some Pineapple Pizza to Feed the Algorithm Gods?
Haha I wanted to do a guitar giveaway for this one! But I wasn’t able to. And I totally understand not wanting to buy another guitar. It’s very nice to have this one, especially for practicing, and I am glad I have it now!
I don't think it's lazy at all. It's a more efficient use of time if you need to learn a song, and it could help your focus. Let's face it, as soon as you switch on a computer to use alongside your guitar you're just inviting distractions!
Yeeeeessss. Thank you for your review. I found exactly the same thing about switching patches via a foot switch. A bit like the Mooer you reviewed a while back. Let's hope they get that sorted out.
What happens when the battery takes a crap ??? It woulda bin nice to be able to remove and replace the battery 🤷♂️ fer 500 bucks id expect this to last a LIFETIME 👎 i own 2 guitars I paid around 500 for and they're over 30 years old now and still look and function flawlessly, yea fer THAT amount of money we should get a lifetime guarantee kuz I know I'm not the only person who would be buying this specifically to travel and play without an amp EVER and once the battery takes a shit the guitar would be useless to me👎 and a 500$ paperweight ..... thats bull sh%t

Yeah, exactly, it truly is an incredible practice device! Thanks for commenting 😁
Fantástica me encanta!!!
excellent review, thanks

Nice! Thats true. I do wish it had a tuner built in without the app personally

Same, I for sure have spent more time playing “acoustically” rather than plugging in. This solves that issue.
Great content from a busy guy. Thanks! 👍
Thanks man! 🤘🤘
not laziness at all! just being efficient with your time and making it count! great review as usual.
That’s a great point!
Great review, great discount. Thanks Scott, ur the best!
Thank you!
Convenient not lazy. I have fallen asleep many times playing the Martin Backpacker.
I could see how one of these would be amazing for a student as well as professional practice.
Agreed!
Thanks, Scott!
UA-cam, I know you have those Algorithm Gods enya. Send some love to Scott and his amazing channel.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hey Algorithm Gods steer some people over here! There’s really nice content this way! 🔥🔥🔥

Man you are killing it with the gigs and vids...gotta keep that hustle going to Feed the Algorithm Gods.
Cheers from the PNW.
Thanks man! It’s a lot this month, but it’s a good thing!
Enya has been blessed by the Algorithm Gods.
🙏🙏🙏
A humble offering to the Gods of the Algorithm
🙏 🙏🙏
Good practice guitar
Almost bought one to travel with.
Can't wait to get one, now I will be able to rock out at the beach and the park and not have to play my acoustic 👍🏆.
🤘🤘🤘

“What will other people think” doesn’t matter with stuff like that. Do what works best for you and find your audience 🤘

😂😂 trying to tag them or google them makes it tough sometimes haha
Bluetooth pedals for controls the effects would be so cool.

@@vervo7 I don’t think that’s possible, but I’m not positive
Do the effects only work with the built in speaker?
No, you can send it out the speaker or the 1/4” out or the usb c out as well

wow... I've never seen one built like that
Yeah, it’s pretty sweet!
Hey scott. Was thinking about getting a beat buddy and was wondering if youve ever used one.
I have never owned one but I’ve seen them before. They are pretty sweet!
How loud is it?
By the way, your affiliate code is not attached to the URL in the description section. You should put a forward slash before the question mark, like "/?sca_ref" ...
Oh interesting, thanks for letting me know! And it gets loud enough for practicing 🤘
Nova Go Sonic Shinichi Kobayashi i wanted to buy this guitar tbh but I didn’t find the guitar on official site cause i wanted to use the promo code 😢
I was waiting for your words on this! This is the first video where this guitar sounds good and usable. Man, other reviews make it sound terrible! My only concern is, again, about the built in battery... what will happen when it inevitably dies? Is it user-replaceable?
Thanks! And that I don’t know, that’s always a thing with the built in batteries
Hell yeah! Amazing guitar.
Also first.

Can you see the coloured ring outside in sunlight?
It’s pretty dim in sunlight
is it plastic or actual carbon fiber? where is the proof
can you see / feel the fibers?
Just feeding the Gods..😂
🙏🙏🙏
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE NAME OF THE SONG PLAYED ON TEXAS PRESET?????????????????????
That was just me noodling 🤘

With carbon fiber the only getting warped is the axeman.
Do you like the fingerboard?
Yup 👍

Yeah it would definitely be cool! That other one they have has a footswitch, so I know it can be done!
nice guitar just hate how ugly and childish the speaker looks
Eh, it’s not that bad I think!
