Phred Instruments Dead Bolt Liger Review
This is an in-depth review of the Phred Instruments take on Jerry Garcia’s last Guitar - The Dead Bolt
This review goes through all of the different pick up and single coil\humbucker settings.
I had the American Electronics installed as an option.

THE AMP
I used a Fender 68 Vibrolux
THE EFFECTS
I used a Leaf Audio Proton for the Auto Wah
I used a Tech 21 American Woman Randy Bachman for Overdrive
I used TC Electronics Sub N Up for an Octaver Sound
Briefly I used a Moog MF Flanger and
MXR for Delay and for Chorus effects
BACKING TRACKS
Played on a 150 Watt Amplifi

Great demo, thanks for taking the time to put this together! I ordered my Liger in Jan from Phred and it should be here in a few months, with all the upgrades. Can't wait for it get here, lol.

Wow amazing effect after the wah effect something to be very proud of along with the guitar and camera positioning with the piano behind you.. yeah!!

I also added the brass nut, but not the brass pick up mounts. I had to have both!! I think the Wolph sounds more like Jerry and is more "stratty" sounding since it has a single coil at the neck, whereas the Dead Bolt does a great job too, but get's more low end than the Wolph since it has the humbucker at the neck. Can't go wrong with either.

Was the USA Wiring the only upgrade you did? How do you like it compared to Wolph? How long did it take to get to you from placing the order? I have a near fully upgraded Liger on order. Can't wait to get it.
Great review! On the Phred website the Deadbolt and Liger and two separate guitars. Is yours the Deadbolt? Just wondering. Thanks!
Thanks, I bought the Dead Bolt but replaced the stickers with the Liger Stickers
@@michaelberkley1012 Awesome! Do you still like it? I am trying to pick between Wolph and Deadbolt. My fav era is 70s and 80s and I like the country twang of things like Mama Tried. Also don't want a thin sounding guitar. Have you had a chance to hear a Wolph in person? Thanks again!
