My box looks like this to!!! Except there is multiple draws of sockets and they may or may not be just thrown in there and haven’t been used in 15+ years
I have a thing for chrome snap on universal sockets. SK wayne is dang good tools. I love the chrome on them. They have the best chrome on them out of all the manufacturers including snap on. SK sockets are absolutely beautiful and a pleasure to work with. Some of my road tools are SK.
I absolutely agree that Williams USA is every bit the same as snap on however their warranty is processed only through a Williams rep. Otherwise zero warranty. I had some Williams superwrenches I was trying to warranty a few years back, called Snap-on (as that’s how I process all my snappy warranties) and they directed me to Snap-on industrial which handles their bahco, Williams, and Sioux claims. Spoke with two separate people on 2 separate occasions and both stated unless I have a Williams rep coming to my job site they have no way to process any warranty and also they need proof of purchase from a certified rep.
Snap On wants to implement the same process. I think it's bullshit because you can buy williams from Amazon so if they break your SOL since amazon isn't an authorized dealer..
You can warranty William sockets though Snap On industrial but it takes five times as long you can call Snap On ask ask them for the industrial side and you can speak with someone that will warrantee a Williams they require you send them in and they drag their feet and send you a new one in two weeks been there done that
Totally agree, craftsman USA made were great tools, when they to China made crap ,that was the end.....nice box, great tools...buy American, support Americans 👍🇺🇸
Nice review of sockets and drive tools. While I agree that the Craftsman gimmick tools are usually junk, I don't believe that was a cause of their decline. Sears itself is the decline, the Craftsman brand was strong enough that SB&D paid a large piece of change and gave up a lot in the short term to Sears to get the brand. What started to kill Craftsman is Sears cutting corners and dropping the quality of their core tools like their ratchets, sockets, wrenches, etc.
Those rails are available on the mac tools truck under their label, harbor freight under the US general name, or Ebay with a generic name. All the same. The mac has different clips. I am guessing it is their clip but the clips on the other 2 are fine. I do not recommend the Pittsburgh rails. They are flimsy and the clips suck.
Did some rearranging they live up front now. I'm probably going to put the double bay end to end like I had them at work and split my sockets like I had them before. I'm going to invest in some grey pneumatic impact wobbles. Probably do the other big drawer on it in wobbles and specialty sockets or chrome in one box and impact in the other. Not sure yet
sledsports oh wow, I’m on the Wv border in Ky. My family is from Wv. I thought I heard you mention Charleston and I was like man the accent sounds like home. We do most of our shopping in Huntington and try to stay in corridor g when we head to Charleston.
sledsports nice, sounds about like Milton lol. I live like 5 minutes from a bridge to hit 52 and come up the backside of Charleston or go down the river to Huntington or I can hit 23 and go to Ashland and hit 64. I’m all the time heading up that way buying tools or old cars. I’m in a spot called beauty ky, right next to lovely ky lol
Very nice collection man!
Thank you

Thanks for the tour. That craftsman adjustable wrench you don’t like is a chisel holder and works pretty good for that .
That's what I use it for.
