- In this final 3rd episode from our hunt with Kayuga Adventures we retraced our steps and checked out a few swamps where we saw 1 or 2 boars earlier in the week, giving our selves another chance to get the drop on these wild boars before the long drive home.
We give you an over the shoulder view and and an insite into 2 passions of ours, bowhunting films and bowhunting boars.

Fascinating how the second boar became fully aware of the hunter's presence, yet cautiously carried on his business. Even made a point of marking his territory on the log while he knew he was being watched. However, the pig did not anticipate that the human could deliver a lethal blow from such a distance. So when he was arrowed, he gave that startled look of defensive surprise--right at the camera--before commencing with his death run.
Beautiful footage.
Seem to get away with it at times but bow up covering face and minimal movement specially when close helps.
Camouflage worked that pig took the hunter for a tree

Love your guys videos. The way you hunt should be a lesson to many. Not taking a shot until you are certain of the outcome, getting in closer and waiting for the right moment. So many others are just keen to let arrows fly and hope. You make it about the stalk and not the killing. Great work!!

I think pigs/hogs/wild boar/ wart hogs are collectively disgusting creatures aptly named. But I sure do love pork, ham, bacon, pigs liver and kidneys. Nice sooting guys and well presented videos that can teach much about the hunt and the surroundings in which you hunt. Big thumbs up.

An absolutely stunning and artistically filmed bow hunting video that conveys the tense atmosphere prior to each shot very well: perfect for the cinema! I was wondering how safe it is to be walking barefoot in an area where you might just step on something nasty that either bites or stings...I guess you know what's potentially out there.
Pebble Shooter yeah mate, brad and has hunted this country for 30 years, he knows what we can get away with and what we can’t, usually. You Might step on the odd thing but you take the good with the bad, I seem to cop the rough end of the stick with the mosquitos

Great video guys best I’ve seen so far!! Just curious what weight arrow do you guys use and what weight broadheads
Jordan Walker we use 150 grain broad heads, and total arrow weight is roughly 550g all up from our 70 lb bows
Newbie to bow hunting pigs. Would a bow set at 60lbs and a arrow weight at 450 to high 400grains be enough in the top end?

Amazing! What broad head were you using and how much total arrow weight do you run?
Matt was using the prototype for the Kayuga "Pilot Cuts" they weren't tempered hard enough, they still got job done on the couple of boars shoulders he tested them on in episodes 2 and 3. Arrow weight was around 500 grn.
Jerry runs the Oz cut 150 grn 2 blade gold tip pierce arrows at around 480 grns.
I ran a prototype pilot cuts that I shaped myself from existing broad heads they were shaped down to 155 157 grns and with gold tip pierce arrows came in at around 530 grn in Episodes 1 and 3, you can see them better in our other films "downfall" and "Coburg" 1 and 2.

Hiya, I'm a new subscriber, I've watched another Oz site and a few US ones. Are these wild pigs considered pests or vermin? Do they impact on the environment? Just interested no negative views at all. Cheers x
yes they are considered an invasive species here in Australia, they do get into the crops and damage their fair share as well as turn over plenty of ground here and there when conditions are right, as far as causing erosion and spreading disease I think us humans have got that covered in doing that.

We don't tend to eat the older Boars in the cape with talk of disease and they are an introduced evasive species, but do eat the younger pigs around home off the cropping and improved country, they taste pretty good

Are all of you Aussies crazy? It’s hard enough trying to understand what the heck you are saying, but walking with no shoes in Australia, with all of the snakes, leaches, insects and spiders and everything else that would burrow into your foot? That to me is simply mad! I hope you guys have good health insurance.
helps if your a little crazy, we are working to slow a speaking down so the rest of the world can catch up and not use as much slang but thats us and who we are, as for wearing no shoes, got to live a little mate, theres times you need them and times you don't, and times you wish you had should try it some time.
