This is the beauty of UA-cam, and the Internet in general.....I'm not a hunter, and have never been hunting, but I'm sat here enjoying a beer, playing on my PC, and watching videos about bow hunting for pigs in Australia lol. Brilliant!
Nice one, man. I'd love to go bow hunting but its illegal over here. Well shot video and huge pigs. You've racked up the views in a short time on this video so I'm sure the Americans are lapping it up. Groovy.
Pondguru ok... that’s ridiculous,it should be every mans right to hunt and forage for wild food, meanwhile they put up Maccas restaurants everywhere on the globe
@@thomasfarmer1730 For sure, we live an inverted reality now. Ultimately any method of hunting is on the table in a survival situation so I still practice different methods from time to time.
I do not understand why people dislike such of thing, hunting is the best life, your city people know only drink and fight. Fishing, hunting is the best men game.
Great shooting! Very well done! Your wild boars seem to have nothing in common with our wild boars (in Germany). You won't see them during daytime and you can only shoot them from a far distance because they are very cautious and smart.
+FapesTheHunterLPs It all depends on the location mate , a lot of areas in australia the pigs are exactly as you describe , Very shy , Very careful , and you hardly ever see them....
I like the commentary on the hunt, you showed various stages of your hunt, stalking, the broadhead you used, the actual kill, you didn't say the word um,uh, a thousand times, some clearly, didn't repeat yourselves very well done.
Sorry can't reply to this video either, Google+ and UA-cam suck together..... Everyone should send feedback to UA-cam, if enough of us tell them how much it sucks they have to listen.
good job id be happy with two good kills like that as well. what a lot of people dont understand is that these pigs are feral and the amount of damage they cause to the environment is substantial
CairnsVegas Kid if you can get to a bow shop with a range where you can shoot their bows. A bow is a personal thing. 60 is great for pigs if you can draw it comfortably, 50 is also ok, but not lower. Arrows must be matched to the bow and shooter, consider spine, GPI (grains per Inch) and shaft length. Again get a bow shop to help you, if they don't mention these terms 'spine, GPI, shaft length', go somewhere else.
pipuel almost forgot, I use Easton Powerflight 300's (9.5gr/in), reasonably cheap, but a good shaft. I've used a few broad heads, the simpler the better, just two blade solid heads, no fancy Aluminium, Stainless steel or holes in them, they are too weak.
What poundage do you guys use on your bows? I've just started getting into the idea of boar hunting in Qld too. Do you guys carry a back up of any kind or anything?
could you post a vid on dressing and storage while out bush?.. some great boars you boys bowled over. How do you keep em while your still out before heading home?

Awesome! I'm about to buy my very first Bow and I hope to get good at it to hunt some wild rabbits (which is a pest here in Chile) I'll get meat, fun, and it will help the environment. I love your compound Bow, looks pretty nice.
Kitari Thanks for saying hi. I wish (and I don't), that we had Rabbits where I live (they are a feral pest here too).Good luck, and let me know how you go.

I'm not a vegetarian but now is not the time to hunt. Consider what you want this is my point of view because the animals die soon, I think a lot of people think so.
Since ancient times, people engaged in hunting . She gave him food, clothing , saved from predators . However, times have changed. Hunters often claim that hunting allows them to " produce -out" old instinct of murder, allegedly inherited from primitive man (I'm not a bastard - I have such genes ) . However, whether you want to indulge their basest passions , and even make this a cult? Hunters say their opponents : "You , too, eat meat killed a cow" , without noticing a big difference. Killing an animal because of boredom , for entertainment on the target is significantly different from killing an animal for food . We are not opposed to hunting Eskimos and Aleuts , who traditionally live by hunting . Gritting his heart can agree with hunting residents distant villages killing rabbits and ducks to feed his family . But the killing of wild animals for entertainment - wrong.
great vid fellas must be a great rush stalking them big pigs with your bows ive gota bow but we cant use them to hunt in the uk id love to come over there and have ago at them piggys best of luck fellas thumbs up from the uk

Just out of curiosity what broadheads are you using please? I have just got myself a compound bow after using only a longbow and need some good advise for taking out big pigs in NZ
+frosty_regen gaming and more 60 or 70 pound bows. And you need to learn how to stalk wild animals. Smell, sound and sight are the 3 things you need to consider.
+frosty_regen gaming and more I have a couple of videos where I talk about stalking pigs. Search 'Andysfishing stalking pigs' like EP.83 EP.102 EP147 EP.246
Those first couple looked like they may have been close to record class? Or are you guys not members of the ABA and don't bother boiling out the tusks to measure? I noticed too you were using the ever reliable Bodkin broad head, or something very similar. Good choice. Good vid guys.
Hello *****, I have two questions for you. How do you prevent that the meat rots on the return trip? And, do you skin and butcher the pigs with you own hands?
Esteban Mira leave the skin on if the meat needs to travel before it is butchered. Best advice is to wear gloves when butchering, at least in Australia. Cool the meat as soon as possible.
Eat the meat, keep the skin as a material or a trophy. Sometimes mount the head as a trophy. Its all usable and as a rule you don't kill what you wont use.

Cool, we can all experience wonders from around the world, from our own houses.
Absolutely fantastic! Keep up the good work mate!
Turned that frown upside down, eh?
And women say we can’t multi task!
This is how many people love bowhunting for pigs in 2019!

Pondguru yes people need to get back to the old ways
I'm watching this in May 2019. Andy should do these sort of hunting and cooking apidodes
I’d love to see some more of these types of vids maybe even a outback catch and cook type of vid
What about my Sooty Grunter BBQ video? That was outback.
I do not understand why people dislike such of thing, hunting is the best life, your city people know only drink and fight. Fishing, hunting is the best men game.
Fidel Kapond and it can keep you alive. One day we will need these skills again, history has proven it many times.
I have watched dozens of similar vids and have to say i enjoyed this one more than most, well done lads.
Cmon Andy more of these vids mate. Excellent, haha
That's a weird looking fish..
Its a greater furry mud fish
Hilarious start to the video haha
Excellent bow skills. Proper kills.
I would prefer to gain food through this source than buying groceries...it makes me feel part of nature....😀

Impressed how the hunter approached very close to the boar and with absolutely mastery shot the Hoyt. Like a boss.
If you do it right you can get very close. If you don't they will see and smell you from 100m away.

I'm shocked, a hunting video that contains hunting. How horrible. *sarcasm*
People seriously need to chill out.
You know what they say, any publicity is good publicity......
Keep em comin!
It was the tense music before the shot that everyone on earth could live without. The rest of it, and the video are great.
Nice shot bro! :-)

***** Do you mount them on your wall?
No, just a photo of my first one.
Does Australia have a big pig problem like we do in America?
***** Yes we too have Feral Pig problems
What's ur guy's poundage on the bows at? amazed me how far they went in.
Dorian Eldridge 70 pounds, but mine is backed off to 60 pounds as it has a very aggressive cam. Yes, sharp broad heads are like razor blades.
Are you going to do anything else like this Andy?
I will be, maybe next month even.
ok nice, when's the next fishing vid.
Sufc Davie
Hopefully an over night one.
What bow are you using in this video? I would like to know because I am going to start getting into it.
Bradley Gilbert HOYT CRZ32, it has a very lumpy cam, there are much smoother drawing bows out there.
Beautiful Australia outback.
Wezilla it's a shame smello-vision doesn't exist, the bush smells are incredible, that would make for full emersion viewing!!!
Brilliant spot and stalk hunting. All excellent ethical kills straight through the engine room.
Yep the best way. Much better than poison.
