    This is the beauty of UA-cam, and the Internet in general.....I'm not a hunter, and have never been hunting, but I'm sat here enjoying a beer, playing on my PC, and watching videos about bow hunting for pigs in Australia lol.
    Brilliant!

    Nice one, man. I'd love to go bow hunting but its illegal over here. Well shot video and huge pigs.
    You've racked up the views in a short time on this video so I'm sure the Americans are lapping it up.

    Great shooting! Very well done! Your wild boars seem to have nothing in common with our wild boars (in Germany). You won't see them during daytime and you can only shoot them from a far distance because they are very cautious and smart.

    What's a good bow and poundage to start off on, is 60lb ok and what about the arrow setup aswell?

    • @Andysfishing
      @Andysfishing  9 років тому

      CairnsVegas Kid if you can get to a bow shop with a range where you can shoot their bows. A bow is a personal thing. 60 is great for pigs if you can draw it comfortably, 50 is also ok, but not lower. Arrows must be matched to the bow and shooter, consider spine, GPI (grains per Inch) and shaft length. Again get a bow shop to help you, if they don't mention these terms 'spine, GPI, shaft length', go somewhere else.

    Sport hunting in man brings negative qualities of character , creates an atmosphere of institutionalized evil and endorses vices.
    These qualities are especially cruelty and complacency , vanity , malice , greed , boastfulness , lies, hypocrisy , selfishness , indifference , envy . Sport hunting teaches offend the weak. B. Chertok, wrote in this regard that the hunter - athlete, " not once, not twice , but always drowns a precious feeling of pity in the bud . This constant stifling suicide and is the main harm hunting ."
    Sport hunting promotes decomposition of the individual by cultivating base passions and instincts
    Hunters often like to claim that hunting allows them " to let out " ancient instinct of murder, allegedly inherited from primitive man (I'm not a bastard , I have such genes ) . However, whether to indulge their basest passions , and even make this a cult? Not correct to govern his passions , to limit them? Hunter , periodically " freeing " their primitive instincts , becomes their slave , largely dependent on them. In this cultivation base passions becomes an end in itself , and ultimately leads to the decomposition of the human personality and spiritual death. When the expansion is released enormous energy , just as the enormous energy released by cleavage of the atom. This negative energy and spills on the hunt in the form of drunkenness , harassment and killing of wild animals , turning human beings executioner .
    Sport hunters consider living beings only as sports equipment , inventing ever more cruel, inhumane methods of killing . The last peak of fashion - hunting animals with a computer ( U.S. experience ) . Hunted animals are kept in a pen , they sent several guns connected to the computer . Hunter from any country , going hunting at the site, and paying the required amount , the computer gets through the opportunity to make a real shot and kill the animal. V.Agafonov writes: "Hunting is not a necessity dictated but selfish lust for entertainment , some" hunting passion , " inaccessible " uninitiated " , despised by most hunters , just as sweetness nenarkomanam available marijuana . Hunting has become a painful dependence , deprives the mind, akin to drug addiction and sexual pathology - " hunting than bondage ." In sport hunting because of the constant killing of animals occurs dehumanization .

      I think you are wrong, even if you are a vegetarian. It's not up to you to tell anyone what they should eat or how to get their meat.

    • @RyanRyann-g2l
      @RyanRyann-g2l 11 років тому

      I'm not a vegetarian but now is not the time to hunt. Consider what you want this is my point of view because the animals die soon, I think a lot of people think so.

    • @RyanRyann-g2l
      @RyanRyann-g2l 11 років тому

      And the fact that I wrote this is true! Do not you just admit it!
      Alcoholic would never admit that he is an alcoholic!

    • @RyanRyann-g2l
      @RyanRyann-g2l 11 років тому

      Since ancient times, people engaged in hunting . She gave him food, clothing , saved from predators . However, times have changed. Animals was many times smaller , and hunters - more, and they are not armed with bow and arrows. Changed and the purpose of hunting itself . Method of obtaining food it turned into entertainment, fun, pastime .
      But is it right to kill wild animals for fun, trophy , empty boasting ? Hunters often claim that hunting allows them to " produce -out" old instinct of murder, allegedly inherited from primitive man (I'm not a bastard - I have such genes ) . However, whether you want to indulge their basest passions , and even make this a cult?
      Hunters say their opponents : "You , too, eat meat killed a cow" , without noticing a big difference. Killing an animal because of boredom , for entertainment on the target is significantly different from killing an animal for food .
      We are not opposed to hunting Eskimos and Aleuts , who traditionally live by hunting . Gritting his heart can agree with hunting residents distant villages killing rabbits and ducks to feed his family . But the killing of wild animals for entertainment - wrong.

      They are not wild here they are feral pests that damage the environment and eat our native wild life.

      Cody Person mine is a CRX32, i find the cam to aggressive, so it's dialed back to 60 from 70. Much more comfortable too shoot.

    That looks like a blast, thanks for the vid. Are those Oz pigs any good to eat or do they taste like shyte? I live in Florida and ours are edible and invasive pests.

      Same here. They tend to be much tougher and less fatty, but more tasty.

      +frosty_regen gaming and more 60 or 70 pound bows. And you need to learn how to stalk wild animals. Smell, sound and sight are the 3 things you need to consider.

    Those first couple looked like they may have been close to record class? Or are you guys not members of the ABA and don't bother boiling out the tusks to measure? I noticed too you were using the ever reliable Bodkin broad head, or something very similar. Good choice. Good vid guys.

    Hello *****, I have two questions for you. How do you prevent that the meat rots on the return trip? And, do you skin and butcher the pigs with you own hands?

    • @Andysfishing
      @Andysfishing  10 років тому

      Esteban Mira leave the skin on if the meat needs to travel before it is butchered. Best advice is to wear gloves when butchering, at least in Australia. Cool the meat as soon as possible.

  • @TheOrandjGuy
    @TheOrandjGuy 11 років тому

    What do you guys do with them when they're dead? are you allowed to just leave them out there or do you have to do something specific with them?

    • @bassmaniac311
      @bassmaniac311 11 років тому

      Eat the meat, keep the skin as a material or a trophy. Sometimes mount the head as a trophy. Its all usable and as a rule you don't kill what you wont use.

    • @TheOrandjGuy
      @TheOrandjGuy 10 років тому

      Ok cool, I really want to do this as a hobbie when I'm a little older, so I wanted to know that you could use that stuff.

    • @Andysfishing
      @Andysfishing  10 років тому

      If you hear people saying the meat is full of worms/parasites, this can be true. But if you cook meat properly over 72c then it is safe to eat. I eat lots of pork stew and spag-bol, yummo.

    • @TheOrandjGuy
      @TheOrandjGuy 10 років тому

      Pork is definitely one of the better meats, easy to stew as well and plenty of different cuts of it

    Top video guys.
    Reminds me of good old times when I used to shoot wild pigs and goats in western NSW and southern QLD. I used guns mainly but I had a Hoyts compound bow which I've never mastered - damn hard.
    Those wild pigs do so much damage to fragile environment of Australia.
    Looking forward to your next videos.
