This list is full of excellent choices. I appreciate that an effort was made to find some truly remarkable older films. I believe that it's important to remember that LGBTQ+ films need not focus solely on misery, homophobia, and death.
My goodness gracious, Big Eden is a must watch. Small town where everyone knew everyone. And not an ounce of homophobia or gay trauma in it. So rare and so good.
Before watching the video I was like: Don´t you dare to forget about Shelter! And Boom, there it is 🙂 I had the luck to watch Boys with the main actor Gijs Bloom in the audiace at the movie festival for children and young adult. After the movie there was Q&A. He was such a sweetheart and wellspoken. Also in the movie is execellent camera, it won a price for cinematography at that festival.
The acting is phenomenal, especially Josh O'Connor, underrated, he's the male Meryl Streep. I'll watch anything he's in regardless of genre. He's that good.
I've seen 16 out of 20. Shelter is still my favorite but Gods Own Country comes really close. The Birdcage and Too Wong Foo are 90's classics. Back when gay movies didn't involve any kissing. Just hand holding and an occasional arm over the shoulder or a hug. LOL

Great list. Glad my favorite is on here; Big Eden. I watched most of them, so I do have a couple to watch and some to rewatch.
Another great one is "the thing about harry". Its one of my best movies in life

Boys 2014 is very interestinfg and realistic story, veruly cool
