Very good review. Marco Berger is one of the best directors in America. His search for sensuality and suggestion, more than sex, but all in all , Argentina has amazing movies in gay stories in general.

I loved "Esteros," "End of the Century," and "My Best Friend." Did not like "El Angel" very much. Argentina does offer some great gay movies with a unique perspective. I thought "Young Hunter" was one of the best, my favorite of the Marco Berger movies, the others which I only mildly enjoyed.

Hawaii is my personal favorite.
I just love how calm yet relatable the romantic situation develops. Also, a happy ending.
Hawaii is absolutely stunning. Those long silences, letting the body language say everything. Just wonderful. It feels very life like.
I loved Plan B, I've watched it like 7 or 8 times. It was the first film I saw from Marco Berger, great director.
Esteros is excellent. it's one of very few with happy endings.

Plan B is one of my favorite Argentinan films. I enjoy it more and more after frequent viewings. 😊 Sadly it is out of print on Dvd.
