The fractal design North sits so prominently in the background of the video that I can only hope that it's not a sign of things to come, as I love the external design of that case.

@@SrApathy33The overheating issue was first being reported shortly after launch. AMD tried to shrug it off with the excuse "Its completely fine having junction temp spikes of 110c" and channels like this simply believed them and didn't Investigate it any further. That was despite people having crashes and reboots due to those high temps and then trying to return the card back to AMD, to only be refused by them. It's "strange" since they jumped all over Nvidia on mass, when the very first few reported issues of adapters melting, came to fruition. Then there was less than half a dozen reports, compared to hundreds now with the reference XTX and XT cards. Yep, It's only in the past 24 hours or so the scale and seriousness of the issue (faulty vapor chamber) has surfaced. But even now, the major tech channels, all seem to still be quiet and hush, hush on the issue!!! Thank God, that at least Der8auer took time out to investigate the reports and hunt down what was causing the issue.

But even from the personal side, I really enjoy what you have done, the stories you have put out, and am excited about where you are going!
Love the disappointment build videos, so entertaining in the intro and then the roasting of parts! Perfect end of year thing.
Man this channel has come a long way, props to all the people behind the channel and here's for a good 2023.Cheers!!!
I don’t ever pre-order anything anymore…… but when I do…. It’s for Gamers Nexus to support the wonderful things they do. Looking forward to some really good stuff from you guys in 2023.
Steve’s facial acting already has me sold, his years of experience of dealing with manufacturer BS are really showing in the big screen
You can really tell that the GN boys enjoyed making this one. Heres to the new year !
Finally, it's here! Watching the disappointment PC of GN every year is one of the things I look forward to way too much.
I do a complete build or major upgrade about every 5 years. This year I moved from an 8700K that stood the test of time to a 13700K setup with the z790 chipset with a DDR5 motherboard. GN content was invaluable in my research before doing my build this holiday season which has really turned out well. I saved so much time and energy by devouring GN content. Excellent work by all the team at GN.
really enjoyed the 4 minutes and 37 seconds of cinematic tension
I love this summary of BS that the tech enthusiast has been subjected to every year! NICELY DONE GN TEAM!
I was waiting on this and it never "disappoints"! You guys have done great, it is crazy that all of this happened this year and can't wait for all of the content in 2023.
Is it just me who noticed just now the 3 current discrete GPU manufacturers colors together form an "RGB"? Running the risk of being the slowpoke in here hahaha
Legend says that owning 1 of each GPU -- R, G, and B -- spells doom for your enemies...
@@GamersNexus Could be! But based on the Disappointment PC vide of this year, no doubt owning 1 of each spells doom to the owner xD
Didn’t notice until you pointed out. Now I can’t unsee.
You’re video about the issues surrounding the 4090 is what attracted me to your channel. All of your deep dives and investigative reporting are incredibly well done. Keep up the great work and good luck in the New Year.
I'm loving the new cinematic style you guys been shooting in. Just maybe shoot these at 24 and not 60 FPS. Great Works Boys!!!
Contact ⤴️ something special for you
I can't even begin to tell you how helpful GN's content is to this whole industry. Thank you Steve and team. Keep up the good work and best of luck for 2023.
I finally got one ordered this year!! Hopefully it fits me. (Fat guy with Tall torso. But stubby legs.)
So Steve, when can we ask for an office tour IRL??
I'd drive the 3 hours.
Or bring you stuff from MicroCenter??
I live in PA but I now have family that's really close to GN now. I would also love a tour if that ever becomes a thing.
I think they have enough work to fill the day already
this channel is unreal. thank you guys for all of your hard work !
I chuckled for the whole intro each time a new highlight o 2022 appeared, so much unbelievable stuff throughout the year.
Best YT rewind ever.
Knocked it out of the park. Great video. The production values continue to improve and the disappointment end of year videos are always entertaining. Looking forward to future content.
I have no clue how NVIDIA thought it was a good idea to charge $1200 for a 4080...
Or $1600 for a 4090
You do actually, it's called money.
@@canaconn2388
Then charge $2400 because "lol muney!!1!!1!"
These guys are the Best!
what a crazy year its been for this stuff. Wondering how CES will go this upcoming week now
Steve, your team's popularity and almost blind trust from PC consumers are well deserved. Gone are the days of just testing and commenting on the latest computer part's performance. Now it is in depth coverage, digging up the truth. Many of the other youtube hardware channels are now struggling to keep with your excellence. Please never change your outlook.
The fractal design North sits so prominently in the background of the video that I can only hope that it's not a sign of things to come, as I love the external design of that case.
I'm kind of surprised that Gigabyte's exploding PSUs weren't mentioned in the video. Was Patrick really that traumatized after going through so many of them? In any case, happy new year for everyone at Gamers Nexus!
was that this year or last year?
Pretty sure that was last year. No way GN would skip over something they were so vocal about!
@@aerosw1ft it all kinda blends together. Honestly he should make a mutant system that comprises the worst of 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Genuine question, wasn't there a former CEO before Noa Katz? I thought Steve mentioned it in one of his Artisian builds videos
Yes, but he (the COO) and Katz had a falling out and the COO went on to run the east coast division while Katz ran the west coast site
Great intro, but I don't think you'll ever top the last one lol

Thank you Gamers Nexus for your Quality content manufacturing tours and in-depth reviews. And for holding manufacturers to account. wishing you all a very successful 2023
I made sure to pick up the shirt early this time. The journalistic integrity of this channel is top notch and deserves all the support!

For maximum disappointment, shouldn't you have mounted the RX7900XT horizontally rather than vertically...? (According to DeBauer).
That wasn't known when they filmed this. But yes I've seen the video, I eagerly await AMD's response.

I love, LOVE, L O V E the intro 🤩👍✨
Thanks for all y’all do. Entertaining, informative, definitely not pandering. Just a great team of smart and cool ppl. And yeah, the Microcenter video of y’all helping that guy put his build together was one of my favorite tech videos this year.
Thank you all at GN!
This was the best experimental / creative intro yet from what I've seen over the years _(I started watching roughly around 50k or maybe 150k subs, forget when that was)._ Love it. Really solid.
Thank you. I'm looking forward to 2023 to be better for pc hardware. Have a good new year, everyone!!
That beginning intro was VERY well done. Thanks for all you do unbiasedly Steve and Team! I actually enjoy the criticism towards everyone. It really does try to keep some of these larger companies honest.............. except for one *cough cough*
All I have to say is thanks Steve and the gn team
Thank you to each one of you
You guys keep going and doing excellent work with great integrity. Really wish i could support the channel with more than views and subscription. Respect and hope all of you guys have a great 2023.
The only content creator I feel is worth being a Patreon member of. Thank you for an amazing 2022 year of content! Looking forward to another year of top tier content. Cheers 🍻
I don't think you guys really appreciate how much of a bright spark in a very dark space you are with specifically the Integrity and principle you bright to; gaming/jounralism/reviews/consumer-products/consumer-sentiment and business process. You manage to do all that without really shitting on your competitors or other people either (with maybe some justified exceptions). I'm really excited at the prospect of your brand broadening to more mainstream audiences with some of the hinted journalism for this year, because in a time of tiktok influencers/rampant-capitalism and disinformation - your influence and guidance is paramount! If you take on thing away from this comment; let it be that to young and impressionable people - you're showing them how they can conduct themselves in the best way. That's a massive achievement x
I'm shocked I haven't read any comments on that cheeky Fractal North teaser we got briefly, can't wait to get your thoughts on it! I'm really interested in upgrading my Meshify C, but I want to get my best case reviewer's consensus on it.
Thank you Steve and you team for the work to shed light in a complex industry. Your videos are always the first stop before making any computer component purchases! Happy New year to everyone!
GN is the single best UA-cam channel for everything related to PCs by far. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.
Insane cinematography!
Happy new year GN crew :D
It's really rare to see a channel grow not just in size, but in quality as well. GN was already setting the standard for what in depth tech reporting on UA-cam could be, and yet they get so much better year upon year. I also love that you guys don't go for quick and dirty cash grabs with garbage merch and low effort clickbait uploads. Keep doing your own thing and I'll keep watching. Thank you Steve (and everyone else, I don't know everyone's names).
*我也要说Steve决定学了汉语是特别努力
I loved the intro, seeing Noah Katz made me smile, hard to believe ALL of these tech stories happened THIS year, time flies by huh
Honestly Steve and the Loyal Team, Surprised your ratings, subs have not risen 10 fold by now your channels is the Authority of insight for us pc gamers out here. awesome channel, just don't go and leave us anytime soon. Goo job, Gamers Nexus.
Thanks, Steve! And Patricks. And Andreew, Mike and whoever on the team I can't think of right now.
i think steve might know how to fight. man's confidence in all these situations is unmatched, and we thank you for it. all hail PCesus
You guys rock at GN, Steve. Great work, and great integrity. I rarely say this to any YT channel, and I think you may be the first one ever, but thank "you" for doing what you do.
You guys go above and beyond in all regards, and have the integrity and credibility that I look to for any type of reviews these days.
Well done to you, and everyone at GN, bud. Best wishes going forward personally, and with the channel.
thank you for your service and dedication not only to inform, but to educate us to make better consumer choices!

The intros get better every year. Absolutely amazing. Thanks for kicking ass guys
Thank you to the GN team for a year of great reporting and analysis.
GN, these are my most favorite videos on all of UA-cam. Back to you, Steve
