The multiplayer races are crazy good, def a must try
Note tmartn that this game is pretty competitive so if you hop in an online race it might turn into a gta lobby’s if you’re bad/low level
Since you've got paddle shifters you should put it on manual, it takes a bit of getting use to but once you get use to it, it's more fun
Funnily enough, the paddle shifters are also were the R1 and L1 buttons are located which he was looking for haha
I'm in love with this series
Never thought I could say GT7 would be a real sim but it seems it is based on one. also the breaking lines aren't wrong, you would be much faster taking corners inn slower and fast out of them. You ended up breaking late then breaking again while turning which is losing you time. It may feel slow going into the corner but it isn't as much as you think.

I love the game. I am just a touch ahead of you. Trevor - you have some epic races with some epic cars coming your way. Pro tip: do time trials before you race. It works as a practice. The races are only getting harder after this
You should drive with the cockpit view that doesn't have the wheel since there's already a wheel (and sort of a dashboard) in your view. It will be a bit more immersive.
Does the game have that? I thought it's cockpit with wheel and the next one is hood.

The share button changes the view to inside cockpit/dash view on my G29 . Go to options - then - Steering Controller to map your button configuration for Look Back , Left / Right view , Lights/ Flashers , Brake bias and more .
What's your thoughts on the G29? I think I might get one but want to here some feedback on pros and cons
Check out Sim Racing Garage - G29 wheel UA-cam review of pros and cons . He can answer your questions and give you better info than I can , but the g29 is a good entry level wheel to start with especially if your on a budget or just not sure yet about getting in to sim racing . I would recommend you hard mount the wheel to a rigid cockpit racing simulator vs desktop mount , the more rigid the the better the feedback you will get from the wheel . Good luck on what ever wheel you choose .

Definitely wanna see more bro. Have a go at turning off some of the assists when you feel comfortable with the wheel. You can adjust the power of the wheels force feedback in the race controller settings menu.

IMO and experience. Turning off all driving assists other than abs will enable faster learning. Also idk if you are automatic on transmission or not cuz manual is much faster

Trev the shifters are r1 and l1🤦🏼 the buttons are remapped to adapt to the t wheel controls, square is view change, the spinny knob changes brake bias, traction control, fuel use, etc.

Laguna Seca in all of it's simplicity is a very difficult coarse.
Lmao that turn on Laguna Seca has haunted me ever since it was a track in the series... I honestly don't remember if it was in the first one, but it has been a nightmare ever since it entered the series!! Lmao.
I remember it was either in GT1 or 2 because I remember failing to get gold in the license test with the Dodge Viper as a kid and then they brought it back in this game. Apparently I’m better now though because it didn’t take too long.

I've ALWAYS hated that blind downhill S-curve at Laguna Seca!!! Ever since GT2!!
Remove the rubber from the brake pedal spring, the brakes will be smooth and not stiff at all. I removed the rubber from my brake pedals, the braking improved a lot and is pretty comfortable.

If you really want performance out of the vehicle start with tires brakes weight reduction and suspension you make the car plant first then you make more power
i just got the G29 Wheel and the Playset Challenger racing seat. the seat is amazing and compared to other options its well priced and also folds up nicely for storage.

Pretty sure L1 and R1 are the paddles on the G29 on playstation if I remember rightly. Been a while since I hooked mine up.

I use a rolling chair with a wheel set up as well. I just put a towel under the wheels and it does a good job to stop it from moving too much 😅

I do agree that Gran Turismo as much settings they have I really wish there were more hud options like being able to take individual things off instead of either all or none. But I would definitely take off the red braking grid. Kills the immersion for me
Re: gloves. I personally prefers riding gloves over racing gloves when sim racing. The main reason for this is most riding gloves are less worm. Horse riding gloves that is. Just a tip you might want to look into.

2002 Viper GTS with a 10-cylinder, high revving engine. Like how is that even fair? Also, that Mustang Boss would get spanked by a 2016 Mustang GT every day of the month.

Trev square should toggle your camera and your paddles are L1 R1 for up shifts and down shifts in manual

9:10 I had to go back and double check if this was leguna seca, thought it was leading up to that, was pretty certain once you hit that corner. That track owned me back in the day in gran turismo 2.

And as others have mentioned, try using the cockpit view with no wheel, as it feels more immersive. I play Assetto Corsa myself and wouldn't be caught dead using another view than the cockpit view without a wheel in that game :D Just feels better being able to drive like that.
