    G,day from Sydney Australia.
How do you know if a bearing is about to fail around the rotor drive shaft? Do you replace them regularly?
Nuts: do you use loctite glue?

I assume they are part of the inspection process. As for the nuts, they are standard AN365 self-locking.

They (Hummingbird) advertise a 1200 hour build time. Do you think that’s accurate ? To me it seems you need 1200 hrs just to build all the jigs and other gadgets you need to assemble the helicopter.

To each their own. I’ve been in experimental aviation for over 40 years. I’ve seen some people take 3000-4000 hours for aircraft that others complete in less than a thousand hours. I’m pretty sure this isn’t advertised as a 51% kit, but I do know Brad has been super about listening to areas for improvement. I’m already thinking I will be jealous of his next generation kit. No different than all of the progression we have seen in the Van’s/Ran’s/Sling and a host of other examples. Don’t forget the hours you hear me talking about already include some painting and interior. My .02. :)
