Amazing quality and cool walking tour. I’ve only been to NYC once and wanted to see so much more, including Harlem and especially the Apollo theatre but sadly could only fit so much into one week as it’s a massive city. This doesn’t beat seeing it in person but love this perspective as if I was walking there, cool idea and channel!
As an international student in the early '90s, I used to walk along 125th Street every morning after getting off the F train. I loved how friendly the people were, often offering warm morning greetings.
Wow what a place! Reminds me alot of parts of London. Quite old fashioned, people chilling, people on the grind, no massive chain shops. I'm coming across the pond this Christmas to NYC, I'll def be sure to come to Harlem and explore.
No way, only parts of London that could resemble this is Peckham, Harlesden, Camberwell, Brixton (to an extent) and Tottenham and all these places I mentioned are on a much smaller scale. I would say those places are 1/8th of Harlem in size or smaller... In terms of looks, nothing like London.
