I was in China few months ago, robots in the mall and street. It's really quiet and clean. People are happy and going out. Good to see humanity is doing well. Keep it up. We all need to live like this, I mean EVERYONE in the world. Not just the developed countries and China that will probably develop forever.

I was lucky enough to live just east of Guangzhou for 3 years until 2015. Would get to the city at every opportunity- miss it sooo much! I actually even lived in Dongguan before Zhujiang New Town (where the TV tower is) was even developed, I still remember walking through a vast empty space of nothing. Wild to see how much it's developed now!

There's a chinese saying called - chi zai guangzhou. Loosely translate to eat in Guangzhou. The best known chinese cuisine is the Cantonese cuisine. Think dim sum. I can't wait to visit the place in March. Cantonese food is the best (I'm also biased to that since my dialect is Cantonese lol).

You should have gone to that underground mall under Huacheng square, it's huge and one of a kind, unlike other malls you've seen. Maybe check other online videos about it.

We didn’t complain the whole time, we mentioned the camera and security a few times and people jumped on us. We have been travelling for 3 years now so we have seen a lot of places and have another of things that we can compare and Guangzhou was VERY DIFFERENT to Beijing

What you see is an illusion. Guangzhou is just a city in China that is open to foreigners and shows some virtual things. If you have time, visit Mumbai, the second largest city in the world and the largest city in Asia. The level of development and modernization here must be beyond your imagination.
