There is a big difference in tone with the white car being a little deeper sounding to me overall. Especially noticeable when idling around at low rpm. This was exactly the type of video I was looking for to compare the two in sound.
I’ve always preferred the h-pipe, sound more old school muscle to me. The new exhaust in these new 5.0 don’t sound like older muscle cars. To raspy and popping with x-pipe. Which remind me of imports. If you hear the 87-93 5.0 with full set up sound totally different then the new 5.0s. But that my opinion.
Uncle had a 87 with a blower. The H pipe sound was "cleaner" and sounded awesome. I had an xpipe and then the double helix x pipe and loved them all. But the H pipe sounds an ounce better.
I have a stock 19 and deleted the resonators with a xpipe, it sounds killer...so before you buy some high end mufflers give it a try with just a cheapy xpipe you will be surprised how well it sounds with just an xpipe and stock mufflers, Zander I've learned alot about the the 2018-2019 you've modded with everything I wanted to do to my car, keep these vids coming. Thumbs up, always.😎
The white one sounded deeper to me the red one sounded more sporty 🔥 both sounded bad ass . I might go car delete instead of headers now . And keep stock mufflers . With my e85 tune and Intake
Cat delete sounds more like a deeper muscle car tone to me here. Both are beautiful. If you are an everyday Joe, save the money and get cat delete. If you are chasing performance every bit of horsepower counts and get the headers!
They both sound great. I've had corsa extremes on my 16PPGT. I have a brand new to the market axle back coming in this week for my 18 and will be doing an install and review video. I hope you guys can tune in.
I need mine installed bro!!!! Mine come with cats. That would be a good comparison video. I kind of like the Corsa sound better but they both sound amazing.
Shorty headers with cat delete but that's because I daily my 2019 gt PP1 . If I was going full race-car, obviously you'd get headers for max power increase ! Both sound nice 👍🏾
Now that’s a video, great job guys. I’m really starting to wonder what an H pipe would sound like with the long tubes. Corsa please send an H pipe to Alex so we can all hear the comparison and decide if we want to buy one. Thanks
I literally played 5:17 over and over again 15 times in a row lol. That coyote sounds so damn good with that 10r80 shifting in the meat of the powerband. I definitely prefer the sound of the cat deletes, x-pipe, and stock active exhaust.
I think this video saved me $1200 or so. They seriously sound the same. The only reason I was looking at the Corsa Long Tubes is because I thought they got rid of the clap. I hate that snap/clap | trumpet sound from these cars.
If you’re going to rev like a jack ass while stationary the lt sounds better, if you’re going to race around the cut cats with short headers sounds best.
I’d love to do headers but it’s not like dropping a set on old Small block chevelle, so I’ll just stick to a cat back. Both cars sounds absolutely amazing.
The white GT had more of a droning sound on the steady-revs drive-by. The red GT sounded better. Plus, as we know, red makes it go faster, so that's a win for Team Zander13 :)
Engines make their best sound when under load. revving unloaded is meaningless. If you are racing every week you need all the HP you can make.If you are just doing car show burnouts you don't need headers.
they both sound great but too loud for me. I have active exhaust and dont want it louder. I like the current sound. came from a C7 with ARH 1 7/8 and it was obnoxious. If you want lots of attention get LT headers. If you are chasing tenths and those 1 or 2 tenths are worth the massive additional noise the other 98% of the time, then get LT headers. If you want to set off car alarms, get headers, otherwise.... not for me.
Hi excellent video I just subscrbed. One question though I would be very interested to know what white car dynoed so we can compare cat delete to header's rwhp.
Watching the video they almost sound identical. My personal opinion I would remove the jlt intake and go steeda closed intake. You will pick up few more ponies I don’t think I’m going to modify mine with headers due to the problems the cars have been having. I heard threw the grape vine that ford may have a recall and don’t want to loose my warranty. Other then few bolt on parts and tune I wouldn’t recommend. .
18shadowblk_5_0 _ I was talking to my friend and he’s a warranty administrator for ford at local car dealer in Florida and there have been numerous complaints on car from shift forks , oil consumption and engine tick along with few other issues. He was told threw a field rep there usually recalls on the first year models . Me being a Retired ford service director for 15 years I wouldn’t recommend doing anything to your car that will void the warranty. That’s the reason I’m not touching my car till I get more info on recalls.
I plan on super charging a gen 2 and want to avoid melting the cats. I don’t want massive gains just a humble 650whp. I think I’ll just go with a straight pipe
Ik im pretty late to this video but to me my car sounded way different on E vs 91. I was on E for about 2 years until I moved to Arizona and had to switch to 91 since a roadtrip on E wouldn’t be the most fun. The 91 gave it more of a burble and deeper tone while the e85 seemed to choke it out. Lmk if anyone else has had this experience
If I’m buying headers it’s for performance, you can make it sound anyway you want deep or raspy, but if you’re purely doing it for sounds that’s kinda weird in my opinion
My experience racing / building cars; put a plan together of what your end goal is and do your homework. Long tubes sound way better, and there not that hard to install. Installed mine in about 6hrs. And you don’t have to buy the expensive ones, eBay ones perform just as good, got mine for 380
Definitely a fan of the deeper tone from the white car. Not a fan of a lot of rasp. The white car would even sound better if it had an H pipe instead of the X pipe.
imma go with the Red car with Long Tubes, that just sounds way more vicious and angry. I wish I could have a Manual Transmission throttle response on my automatic truck
Thank you for sharing!! I love that old school deep tone! I've got a 20' GT/CS with active exhaust and I'm looking to get a little more tone after going with the Steeda H pipe...cats gotta go!😅😎
One of these days I would love to come see Carnage in person, I live in North Georgia so not that far away, I have a Cat-Back Roush exhaust with a single X-pipe, pretty damn loud too
do a video where you show the catless in quiet mode, i have active exhaust but i live in california and im scared of it being way too loud even in quiet mode
Hello Zander 13, love your Videos you and Black Mamba, you two have the best Vid's, Keep On Keeping ON BROTHER, HOW DO I GET MERCHANDISING FROM YOU OR BLACK MAMBA ??? EBAY ?? OR AMAZON ??? LOTS OF LOVE FROM LEE FROM TEXAS'S
I like the Corsa better, I'll be placing an order for the sport 3 now! But as far as the headers go, Zander why did you ditch the TSP's? I badly want headers now after seeing your video and especially when you were down shifting from a distance.

A lot of people ain’t into the raspy ness, I enjoy that shit😂😂
That’s what I’m sayin, sounds more alive dawg 🙏
Both sound great. I just went with a full cat back system on my 18 GT and that is plenty for me lol. These cars are LOUD!
It’s the pushrod power lmao I prefer pushrods over these v8 Honda’s (ford) lmao but I own a 18 5.0 an it is what it is.
Uncle had a 87 with a blower. The H pipe sound was "cleaner" and sounded awesome. I had an xpipe and then the double helix x pipe and loved them all. But the H pipe sounds an ounce better.
when only cat deleted is it need any programme?
the difference you're hearing is pushrod vs overhead cam. modern 5.0s sound sorta raspy/ farty in general compared to pushrod.
Well these cars have 12-to-1 compression, a different firing order, and twice as many exhaust valves... and almost double the horsepower.
It’s about time someone posts a video about this. 👍👍👍
I’m always doing stuff like this. Trying to stay on top of the game lol
Zander13 yeah you and @stangmode always have good content
Thanks 🙏

2M headers are the best by far price and quality. No fitment issues and 3" collector
Thanks I have almost pulled the trigger twice putting headers on my car. No access to a lift in Kansas and no shop willing to do a cat delete
Why won’t they?
Sorry Z that white gt sounds much better. Deeper and throaty. Just me tho.
Kona_blue_5.0 frr
That’s opinionated but I personally love how rowdy Z’s car sounds. All comes down to personal preference
The white one sounded deeper to me the red one sounded more sporty 🔥 both sounded bad ass . I might go car delete instead of headers now . And keep stock mufflers . With my e85 tune and Intake
The long tubes make it sounds soooo much better!!!
Both sound really good. I really think the H pipe in any of those setups would be awesome as well. Nice Video! Like always, keep 'em coming.
🔥🔥🔥
Headers are...
I installed mine in 7 hours.
a must have bolt on (long tube) In my opinion
Worth it if you have bigger plans for the car and need every extra HP.
Zander13 yeah but you k ow what you’re doing. It would cost me $750 to get them installed locally and I don’t have a car for a day too lol
Zander13 lol you installed them 3x times in a Year lmao 😂 better be a pro by now lol love ya
Cat delete sounds more like a deeper muscle car tone to me here. Both are beautiful. If you are an everyday Joe, save the money and get cat delete. If you are chasing performance every bit of horsepower counts and get the headers!
Sorry, Zander, I'm liking the single x-pipe with the stock headers. Very impressive either way, though.
It does sound amazing
Great video. Bet an H Pipe will give it a good growl with those pops you got goin on. They both sound awesome.
You got that right, you really need catless headers and even than there is no significant gains over the stock 18/19.
They both sound great love the down shifting... my corsa extreme cat back is on the way.i couldn't wait for the full review lol

That white mustang with the windows and lights blacked out ir really growing on me. Both cars sound awesome

Shorty headers with cat delete but that's because I daily my 2019 gt PP1 . If I was going full race-car, obviously you'd get headers for max power increase ! Both sound nice 👍🏾
The red Mustang has a high raspier sound at top end.
Love the raspy ness of the red GT! I have shorty headers with an x pipe so this was definitely interesting!!
Now that’s a video, great job guys. I’m really starting to wonder what an H pipe would sound like with the long tubes. Corsa please send an H pipe to Alex so we can all hear the comparison and decide if we want to buy one. Thanks
Thanks. Corsa needs to make an h pipe
H pipe is really deep. All that raspiness is replaced with old school deep muscle car tone.
They both sound good. 👍
Really all that matters is what the hp is between them
That's the question!
If the car is NA, there is no difference. Longtubes only matter if the car is boosted
I think it depends on your future planned upgrades
Big power for me
They both sounded AWESOME.
I literally played 5:17 over and over again 15 times in a row lol. That coyote sounds so damn good with that 10r80 shifting in the meat of the powerband. I definitely prefer the sound of the cat deletes, x-pipe, and stock active exhaust.
🙏🔥❤️❤️
question im jus getting into this, is the x pipe the pipe you replace the cat with ?
Headers are worth it if you are going max effort or boosted. NA should stick 1 3/4 , boosted 1 7/8 or 2"
I think this video saved me $1200 or so. They seriously sound the same. The only reason I was looking at the Corsa Long Tubes is because I thought they got rid of the clap. I hate that snap/clap | trumpet sound from these cars.
That header setup sounds nasty bro, def better for people lookin for theatrics cuz it’s like a thunderstorm rolling by 😂
Shoulda use the same single x pipe before we totally dismissed the sound of headers. I personally love longtubes.
If you’re going to rev like a jack ass while stationary the lt sounds better, if you’re going to race around the cut cats with short headers sounds best.

Good to see Gabe out and about ! Nice Vid Guys!
Both sound amazing on the drive byes... couldn't really tell a difference.... Could only tell a difference when you were both were parked side by side
The cat delete is just less raspy and a touch deeper in person
I my opinion your Stang sounds like a real race car the white one is't bad but yours sounds better no question about it.
I'd take either one. Both are amazing.
Can't go wrong with either of those......I myself would go with open headers.....period! 😁
Engines make their best sound when under load. revving unloaded is meaningless. If you are racing every week you need all the HP you can make.If you are just doing car show burnouts you don't need headers.
Its true
The e85 Quiets the white one down dosent do it justice would sound way different one 91 or 93
Just so everyone knows, with a c7 vette the long tube headers bolt right up to factory ex pipe u don't need THEIR ex pipe to use them
The set up on White one is perfect
Waiting on my phone speaker to blow 😂😂😂 they both sound great but I prefer your car. It sounds a lil rowdier. Another great video. Keep it up 👍👍👍

I like the corsa setup but I like the price of the other setup 😂, I have the corsa double x & active
Love those drive by shots! Very informative as usual. The headers should complement the blower too when you get it installed.
Soon I hope

Bonus, long tubes suck your torque down low and mid range. Long tubes are good for one thing, W.O.T. no more.
