What a great video. Brought back so many memories of my youth and why we are going down a slippery slope. Thank you and Steve for sharing your life's stories.
When I dairied my reverse curve was under a stall against the wall the barn cleaner chute went out. It would pop out from under all the time. I ended up keeping that stall open just to fix it everytime I ran the barn cleaner lol
So very interesting to listen to these men. But it also saddens me, I grew-up in the 70’s, helped my grandad farm, and now, the family farm is houses. I don’t go there anymore. Wanna remember it as it was. My first tractor was also a 4020, like my grandad’s.
All the feed comes from Menomonie, Wi. Durand mill is closed just like Ellsworth they are only a store. Alcivia, the merger with Countryside coop’s new name. If you’re not big time farming they do not care or have time for you. As a one man band I am out of luck. Hardly anything in River Falls other then being a suburb of yuppies.
:ove the content but the mic volume on the gentleman you was talking to made it difficult to hear him verses the volume of when you was talking was loud
Mondovi Wi. 1hr 10min from River Falls. There is a Delaval and milk equipment store in Mondovi. They go all over too
Enjoyed your interview very much. Farmed with 2 Bangers for years. Still have a 1934 A that the kids great grandfather bought new.
Great interview, a heck of a farming family , can’t wait till Friday , keep up the great work
Thanks
The way he smiled when you mentioned the 730 was priceless!
Excellent interview. So true about not liking what you have to eat. You haven’t been hungry enough.
