Young Kratos (GOW2-3) meets Old Kratos (GOW4) - Flipaclip Animation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 сер 2022
- Before Kratos begins his quest of vengeance against Zeus, he suddenly meets someone familiar. It turns out to be his future counterpart because he noticed he is quite older and more calm. When the older Kratos meets his younger self, he would ignore him at first to avoid this quarrel but later on tries to help him when he realized that he embarks the same fate as he did in the past, hoping to give him a new purpose.

I love the fact that young Kratos actually listened to old Kratos
He know because old kratos is the future he will face
Kratos can be reasonable if the other person doesn't pose a threat against him.
Exception is Deimos
@@HastarothTheDemon Yeah exactly
@@leonmystique9372 Yeah true
@@leonmystique9372 but Kratos was always a reasonable and calm person towards Deimos,Deimos was the one who was mad at him
Old Kratos saying the "watch your tone boy" line to young kratos fit so well it gave me goosebumps
Young Kratos: I'm a boy?!
Old Kratos: You were
It fits because these were words old kratos said to his son to prevent him from being him like when he was younger.
That they are like twin brothers. But in realistic. Big brother was advising his little brother not to do incorrect things. And they are the same
for me
WHO I WAS, IS NOT WHO YOU WILL BE fits more perfectly than anything
Young kratos would still beat his ass lol
Imagine both Kratoses goes back in time to GOW1 and stops first Kratos from killing his family
Kratos would have his original Dark Skin, as he did before becoming the ghost of sparta would be one of the things
Baby kratos would die, inexperienced, naïeve and didn’t accumulate strength and powers yet
It will be god of war and the multiverse of madness
No reason to do so
that would be nice sequels
Young Kratos: Back Off! I will destroy zeus!
Old Kratos: this path you walk, vengeance. You will find no peace. I know.
He still should kill the gods because God's who abuse their power and do not deserve to be who they are but what sucks is if you kill them, society in their world turns to shit even though the gods are seriously the worse and shouldn't have their power, like if you give a human being the power of a God.
I seriously wish kratos would have been born in Christianity or Buddhism or any positive religion that won't treat him like shit. Jesus probably would have forgiven him since there is good in him and Jesus would have known but I think Buddha would have probably made him work for it but idk what other religion would have forgiven him.
@@MightyVoxVA The whole problem with this is the Gods only became "evil" after Kratos opened pandora's box and released fear that consumed the Gods. Especially Zeus. That's not to say they weren't previously bad but fear is what caused Zeus to do what he did to Kratos after GOW1.
@@ItsJustFranko you got a point but it had to be this way. Not only were the gods petty and pathetic but because of it, it caused a lot of these events because of reasons like Zeus ordering the capture of deimos because the oracle wouldn't shut up but also giving a mortal man the powers of a God is a failure too since mortal beings shouldn't be playing god and that's pretty much all they are, mortal beings with godly powers in my eyes. The real gods were also pretty terrible too so I don't know how close they are too the actual mythology but the point is, these events were unavoidable. The gods ruined his life in many ways especially since Zeus also locked up his mother so I couldn't really see kratos stopping his rampage. Definitely shouldn't have killed innocent people though but it was kratos fate and it couldn't be avoided. The gods were terrible and caused these with their constant abuse towards humanity like for example prometheus fire.
@@ItsJustFranko still some gods did abuse their power for example Zeus attacking all the titans even though some had nothing to do with it
@@UltraVelocity14 Zeus and the other Gods fought Cronus because Cronus ate his children in fear they would over throw him. It was an open war, Gods vs Titans. Cronus brought that fate to the Titans.
Old kratos:was i this unreasonable?
Young kratos:yes
Not completely, he did try to talk it out with Hercules. He knows Zeus uses him so he tried to talk it out and see if he would listen but deep down he knew he would be petty and try to kill him so he did what he had to but he still killed millions most who did nothing like poseidons princess. Also he was very patient with icarus before the dude started attacking for no reason.
@@MightyVoxVA definitely completely do you know what he did with Poseidon’s wife?
@@t.o.w.a8434 yes I know that. And also killing many other people too like his spartan soldier who he used to get the golden fleece(play gow2 to understand.) but he's not completely unreasonable and I said what I said in my comment because people always assume he's a unreasonable war monger who wants to destroy everything and kill Gods but that's not true and it's this type of thinking that people get wrong about the character and claim to be a fan yet not look into the characters or the lore. Also he's a spartan, they did not care for others like their slaves who their training soldiers would kill as practice. Spartans were brutal and did not care for human life so killing is like breathing to him but it still doesn't excuse it but that's just how Spartans were.
pov: You never played the older games .. Young Kratos was actually one of the smartest being in his Patheon, theres a reason he defeated sisters of fate, god of death and god of speed etc cause a blindly raged and unreasonable person can never achieve all these feats , he can detect and escape from any illusion unlike old kratos and was the only one to find and open Pandoras box + he detected the lie of helios of stepping into the flame immediately and his actions were justified if you know the story of all games including the psp ones
Yeaaaaaaa young kratos didnt had any other options than to kill zeus. Zeus was kind of an asshole and underestimated kratos till his death
I cant stop Imaging Norse Kratos fighting a Greek Kratos clone
*Flashbacks to kratos beating the shit out of his young kratos doppelganger*
Ngl, I was honestly kinda expecting (or maybe just hoping) for it to be like a secret or story driven boss fight in Ragnarok
@@Complete_Stranger7050 And also the dopplegangers Ares made to try and kill the illusionary family in GOW
Even though they said old kraots is stronger I think he might still have a bit of trouble fighting young kratos due to young kratos being in his prime and always going all out
@@dcspidey1218 ofc old kratos is old man’s stronger still here but it slowly get old at age. and young kratos was good In Shape and too faster, too freak stronger well it will same happened to us when we start slowly in age like him we can stay good shape and stronger but it will slow down turning age in old age
Kratos Redeeming himself in this way is so... Impressive, amazing job right there
A Kratos full of anger and revenge talking to a Kratos that already took that path and knows it doesn't leave nothing good but ashame, and bad memories.
Agreed 🤝
I agree but I still think he should have killed the gods since they were pieces of shit that use and abuse humanity and it's kind of their fault of what happened to him becoming this way but idk.
Ñ
But made our good memories
Then choose : enslaved by ares and zeus for maybe eternity, or slay them and live as a man in other place
Looks like Young Kratos is taking Old Kratos word’s wisely
Because he knows that’s him
He was wise and is wise, people seem to forget that young Kratos was Spartan General and won many battles by using tactics.
@@roargamer007 that doesn’t make him wise , it makes him smart
@@roargamer007 there’s a difference between smart and wise
@@pablogomesoliveira2677 Only smartness ain't gonna make one a general let alone Spartan General. Young Kratos was Wise and Smart.
I legit wanna see Young Kratos vs Old Kratos as an actual fight, as well as how Atreus would have reacted to seeing what his father was truly like before coming to Midgard. I know that happened in GOW 4, but I mean like Ragnarok Atreus actually fighting GOW 3 Kratos
Would've been sick
I would rather not use some time travel, but perhaps in a vision. Or maybe in a mind-travel. Like Atreus travels into Kratos's mind, and witness his past, and at some point we can see parts of GoW 4 where the 2 Kratos arguing about what to do, and even fight to make their decision real.
@@akuladoctor7355 that part with the Norns putting Kratos through his hallucinations would've been the best point to put in a boss fight of GOW 3 Kratos, like the pain of losing Atreus would remind him of how he lost his daughter, and the past version of him manifests as a boss fight shouting stuff like "You've failed yet another family!" And "Deimos, Calliope, Atreus! All who bare our blood are cursed!" And it could probably end in old Kratos killing his past self like how he beat Zeus to death before finally breaking out of the hallucination
No holding back new kratos would win unless original has his magic, weapons and fully upgraded blades.
While i don’t care too much for newer kratos, the kratos in Greece would get wrecked as goods only gain in power with age…and kratos has aged almost a thousand years.
2:26 Bro..when Kratos put his hand to young kratos and say those lines..i cry
This guy somewhat predicted the dlc lmao
I think in many ways this is what the DLC should have been.
@@hydrocannons7573hell yeah! I recently watched a video of a guy adding voicelines to young Kratos in the dlc, and it was amazing how he did it! The lines felt a bit off, but hearing Carson’s voice was awesome!

legit, i remember cory talks about how op god of war 3 kratos is, years ago (before 2018), he said that the games doesn't do justice with his powers, that he can basically destroy worlds easely, that is absolutly not the god of war 2018 kratos or ragnarok, which by the way, 2018 is my favourit game
"Who I was, is not who you will be, you must be better." Those lines from Old Kratos fit SO WELL. Telling Young Kratos to become better that Old Kratos was gives me goosebumps.

Old Kratos: look at what I have risen above....
Young Kratos: when i heard that i have become coward, a hermit living in shame in the woods, I've come to kill you, but perhaps it's worse to leave you here, festering in your squalor.
Old Kratos: If you define yourself by your power to take life, a desire to defy fates plans for you, then you truely have nothing.....like I did
Young Kratos: ( Grunts ) And what do you have?!? Why stay in a place like this? Not simply to hide. Oh, you have a purpose here. Perhaps you are protecting something.

Young Kratos: No. Protecting someone?

It would end just like It did in rebels old Kratos could easily beat young Kratos
Old Kratos dog walks young Kratos with the same weapons.
Cool Star Wars reference. But I think that once Young Kratos finds out that the person Old Kratos is protecting is his future son, he wouldn’t threaten him. Young Kratos would probably interact with Atreus the same way he did with Pandora.

"Yes, I have. And I regret all of it. Vengeance will not bring you peace. I have already tried."

Well if Kratos wouldn't have killed Zeus, Zeus would have killed him because of the evil that consumed him
YEARS AFTER THE GOW RAGNAROK VALHALLA DLC SHOWED THAT
Imagine Atreus thinking he could reason with Young Kratos only for Current Kratos to engage cause to his younger self he would kill any who was in front of him besides Time travel is just Tuesday for him at this point.

I feel like when he says the lines while talking to Atreus it seems like it would also be something he would tell to his young self to avoid everything that happened .it feels comforting to think that he thinks Atreus as his younger self.
This seems obvious but it feels nice to know that
Isn't that the point of being a parent? Your child is literally an extension of yourself So you want to give that child all the opportunities you could never have and have them avoid all the Mistakes you made

You made GoW3 Kratos look smaller even though the novel says GoW3 Kratos was more muscular and behind the scenes of GoW4 we see Kratos is modelled at 6'4.5 while Greek era Kratos was 6'6

@@uchiwamadara4614 its a video game…the character looks and does however the dev wants to
this shows perfectly that old kratos is calm and reasonable
Both Kratos are so badass, they respect each other's authoritah
Some would argue Kratos wouldn't disrespect an elder if they weren't in his way/actively trying to harm him or others, like with Theseus, whom he actually respected for his growing old after a lifetime of battles, before slamming his face with the door because he tried to stop him
But Kratos only saw an imposter, so he of course would try to fight him, and only stopped once he heard how his story ends with his path to vengeance
"This vengeance you seek, it will not bring you peace... I know..."
But young kratos would STILL do it, by GOW 3 there was legit nothing left of the man, only a monster was left, that monster could not be stopped, only option was step aside or die. That just how broken he was, he didn't care if the world burned, only his rage was left, Kratos lost his wife, his daughter, his brother, his mother, his country, all thanks to the gods, he will get his revenge.
He literally kicked an old sea captain down the throat of a Hydra in the first game.😂 when he could of easily pulled him up and saved him.

I would've loved to see a cutscene (maybe even boss fight) in a dream or vision, maybe in Helheim, where Kratos has to reflect on and confront his past self and their ideals clash against each other, highlighting just how much Kratos has changed.
December 2023, justo became canon, and was awesome
Kratos is the only man who could possibly talk himself out of a fight tbh. This goes deep.
if only santa monica hired tc carson for the cameo of the young kratos in helheim in 2018, haist that would be dope as fuck
I like to think that at the end of God of War 3, Kratos crawls off the cliff and somehow gets a glimpse of his future and seems himself with his son. Its vague enough where he only knows that he's going to have a son. And then after that his journey to Midgard is just full of him reflecting on that vision.
I love the mixture of both themes as a show of how strong both sides are. Simply so far apart.

That was nice. I was listening to Free Bird right when I started watching, so I was hoping for a fight to go to the solo, but this actually counteracted the adrenaline, good job.
Kratos has become a great father figure that even himself agrees to that
I can only imagine what a pain this must have been to make
Honestly I don’t understand the fact that people hate the new Kratos’ voice, it makes him sound older and more mature, which I mean is the point, but a lot of people want his old voice actor back which makes him sound younger and way angrier than he should be, and in the new games he’s just trying to chill and forget his past, but the only thing is he can’t, unlike the older games Kratos he’s more vengeance full and he wants to kill everyone
It's not that he wants to kill everyone It's that in his mind there is no way. Zeus mistreats him and everyone around him, Zeus tortured his brother out of fear, Locked up his mother, and was a huge rapist nobody spoke against, In kratos mind; he needed to die. But no one is up for it and he didn't care about it since he has nothing to live for and will be in torment for the rest of his life so in his mind, there is no way Zeus had to die but millions of people died so it's no excuse but it shows you shouldn't give powers to multiple people who are very flawed Especially kratos. Kratos wanted rest which is why he tried to kill himself but Athena wouldn't let him and instead made him who he was.

I have a feeling that Kratos would have a vastly different conversation if he encountered his past self but yes, he would probably try to approach him with a more compassionate tone, discipline, but more compassionate to try to ease his younger self out of his lust for revenge and persuade him to try to take the better path rather than the road to damnation it will make so many other suffer for the consequences of other ones revenge.
