- Another Cheap miniatures find. I think these are a great alternative to the Wizkids miniatures. Maybe you just need random townsfolk to populate your cities in D&D, or just looking for bulk minis to use in a tavern or chapel, or farmland. These low cost miniatures should work.

Kenku = Plague Doctor
YES!!! I can NEVER remember names when I'm recording... LOL. Thank you!
people in brown, poor dregs; the kenku is actually a plague doctor, the tailed character is a tiefling, the people in red tabards are the town criers. the scythe person was the farmer group, milk maid... the paint jobs are not the best but the sculpts are identifiable as who they are, the player miniatures will be painted better and let them stand out when the table is full
thanks for the video
I was thinking brown dregs and guy with knife were beggars guild.
You rock!!! I’m calling you before I try to guess next time LOL. Thanks for watching.
Don't do that. My favorite part of the video was you guessing.
We all do that and get corrected information later. It actually feels nice to see someone else do it. 🙂
Cool
They look ok and aren’t too expensive
I may have to put it on my Christmas list
7:50 This is obviously a plague doctor. During the renaissance (not the middle ages) in Italy, these guys were tasked with diagnosing people who were sick with the plague. (They were not actually doctors BTW.) The bird like mask was in fact a precursor to modern gas masks. People at the time believed sickness was caused by miasma and foul odours, so the "beak" was stuffed with flowers, herbs, and spices to purify any air that was breathed in through holes in the mask. The rest of the body was entirely covered in waxed leather of fabric, including the hat. All this was usually successful in preventing the plague doctor from catching the plague himself. I have no idea what a "kaku" is.
Around the 2:50 mark I thought you were going to cut off the executioner's head with the scissors...The Irony!! LOL
In the same pack I was thinking that the rest were town criers announcing the execution (trumpet, flag bearer and the one reading the charges)
Also the "temple guard" looked like he had a crown? The King??
Great job, as always!!
Great comments, thank you!
Cool video (as always).
around 6:55 I think the guy with the knife and the one with the torch are a sword swallower and a fire spitter.
And regarding the paint job you summarized it well ''horrendous but easily recognisable".
I think you nailed it!!! Thank you for the comment
Thanks. :)
What do you play? Which game system. Kenku is a plague doctor.
Yes, I couldn't think of the name on the spot LOL! I play D&D (Mostly on the DM side of the table... Mostly). Thank you for watching
7:55: It's a medical doctor with a pest mask over his face.
I think the word your looking for is "apothecary" 6:16
Miss your videos. Hope all is well
Thank you! Both my brother and I would like to create more content so look for videos in the future. We are both working full time now after Covid so we'll see what happens... Thanks for watching!
@@thecraftingbrothers9448 thanks for the response! glad you two are both healthy and working. was getting worried!
What's the size comparison to other brands?
They fit right in line with D&D. 28mm
P.S. Are the sculpts good enough to take a paint job improvement?
Possibly... Although I think any new paint job would be an improvement. I tend not to waste my time on minis that are only used for background. Thank you for watching
I actually bought the unpainted set during the Kickstarter campaign, and they do take paint easily, but not a lot of detail. Nearly all of mine needed boiled to straighten out the stances.
Not bad... BTW, what battle mat are you using? Really nice design, I'd like to get one...
They're cool right? It was a kickstarter and they just launched another one: www.kickstarter.com/projects/ecaroth/dungeonmats-wave-2-neoprene-mats-for-rpg-and-war-gaming/description
-Thank you for watching
@@thecraftingbrothers9448 Thanks! Yeah, they're super-cool... gonna go and pledge right away! :)
Could you provide a link to purchase these?
I put it in the description, Thank you for watching
Not a kenku plague doctor
The paint jobs are crap but serviceable. Probably not worth repainting unless you are gonna make one into a named NPC. Looks like a good purchase over all :)
Are they 28mm? Where to buy?
Yes, they are. Thank you for reminding me to add a link.
If your players complain about them they're welcome to buy and paint new ones! haha
I love that!
Tiefling selling potions, and wow those are not great paint jobs
Tiefling... Yes, I can never remember names while I'm filming LOL! Thanks for watching
