Just to say that Chapman gives guitars to schools/charity via the non profit Organisation The Musical Community Alliance
We need 24 fret ghost fret in production!
Hi my daughter go's to a Wave school in Exeter they help kids that struggle with mainstream schools they have an old acoustic that the kids play, one of your guitars would be really appreciated.
The address is Torlands academy westside, buddle Lane Hall, Merrivale Road Exeter EX4 1PT.
The riff at 3:32 is such an iconic part of chappers history. takes me right back in time🤘🏻
What‘s the Name of that Song. Thanks 😁
I've been watching your videos for absolute ages (since before the dreads), and I can honestly say that I'm extremely happy to see how much the company has grown. Much love, Chappers!!!
Thanks man, much appreciated
❤
Wassup friends - Hope you enjoy this absolutely massive unboxing! Which guitar was your favourite?
Absolutely DIG the Ml3 hotrod with the floyd. Personally I'd just want the singlecoil a lil further up. But that guitar looked awesome! Especially with that maple neck, fretboard and black hardware! I used own a ml3 traditional from the old run! The intense blue one, digged it.
That ml3 traditional pro was delightful! I have an ml3 rc and have always thought I'd like a fender tele. But I'd take that over fender. Looks comfy.
All of my guitars have bolt on or set necks... I've yet to meet the neck through one that meets the $10.000K CT bass aesthetics
When ebony is black, maple is yellow and mahogany is red, what more do you need to make ends meet?
Rob- Very cool, like watching a little kid have twenty xmas’ all within 14 minutes. At 4:49 into the video you started noodling (broken string and all)…is that one off your tunes? If so, can you point me to the full cut of the song, ...just those two bars are going to roll and tumble in my head for the rest of the day. Thanks, Cheers
That bea standard scale is my personal fav. Maybe some form of raffle? People buy tickets, the money goes to charity? Just spit balling.
Decide which ones need to go into the Chapman Guitars museum and which ones need to find forever homes with fans.
Some ideas:
1.) Charity auctions. Get a bunch of people to sign it then auction it off, donate the money to a worthy charity (for example: Phil McKnight likes 'Guitars for Vets'.)
2.) Get recommendations from fans about deserving people who need a good instrument and gift it to them.
Both of the Ml3 lawmaker legacies are sick!!! I absolutely love the rosewood necks and the finishes on both of them!!!
Goblin Green one is SICK. Absolute love for this model/shape in that colour. 💚💚💚
Rob did say "Let me know what I should do with it" Rob, you should give it to me.
Oh man that ML3 pro hot rod is nice!! Definitely do a little video on it. Have a great weekend Rob ✌️☺️
The ML3 Pro with the Swamp Ash was a stunner, loved that one. Actually the "cappucino" ML2 would look really classy with some nickel covered humbuckers.
ML2, ML3 really nice and ML1X i would like to have one .... :)
I’m stoked to try a Chris Robertson model!! Hoping to see some in Canada!
The Rabea prototype looks amazing 😍
Do a giveaway!
What an amazing treat!
Gotta say I loved that matt black/green open pore colour on the Ghostfret.
I was hoping to see some of your older blue tints, but damn, so many Ml3 made me want one...again. May even recolour on a trans-blue! We'll see.
Awesome to see so much content lately Chappers!
This was a treat with my morning coffee, I love that relic aqua marine super Strat 🥰
Okay - so that black to green fade ghost fret... amazing... and the workshop on black green black ghost fret - also amazing... (Steggo especially liked the black green black)
The Bea Prototype (regular and bari)... holy crap...
Forest green ML3 proto is also really cool...
... and the guardian... okay - need one of those too!!!
... you've got Steggo's address... No really... :D
Opened UA-cam, unboxing video from Chappers....all is correct with the world for 12 minutes at least!
Watch it twice, get double the time = Profit
@@RobChappers That's a bloody good shout.....now, we move to your question regarding what to do with some of the guitars in the video, I'm all for relic jobs on a couple but why not use up the growing box of pickups from various manufacturers and create a whole stable of hot rods? Come on Roberto, it's what Jesus would do and it'll be great content for us geeks.
If any of those prototypes were a significant milestone for Chapman Guitars then you need to store it in the Chapman vault… a giveaway or 2 could be cool too. 🤘😆
Beautiful guitars man. Send me one. I'll put it in good use.😂😂...loved everything without floyd. Especially the last one DPT more affordable version you said. Looks amazing. Sounds beautifully.
That Rabea prototype is just ridiculous man 😋 Glad to see some of those Chennai prototypes made it to you!
Yeah man, it’s like 6 string Pokémon
@@RobChappers I did send you a message about it, it's absolutely mental man. You need to relic that baritone by dragging it across some old Maltese cave or something!
Firstly, jealous.
Second, that riff you played on the guitar with the broken string was epic sounding
Aeromancy by Dorje. Its a band that he was in with Bea, Dave, and Ben
I new the band but hadnt heard that one, im going to look it up now, thanks!
I’d suggest giving away all the guitars you don’t need to your subscribers. I recall watching you before you started at Andertons. You’ve done very well. Congrats.
With all of those demos and prototypes, I think you could run a Demo / Mod shop out of Olympus / Reverb.
"Fuck it I don't need that string" Proceeds to play melodic beauty
Rob, your endless enthusiasm is contagious:)!
That hotrod with the floyd is a dream 🤘🏼😈🤘🏼🏴
So much win in that delinery, man what a delivery to receive. The Bea model (now legacy) is on my guitar bucket list
Black ML3 with floyd is so sick! I love it
That "cream" ML2 is a whole vibe! Love it! 🤘🏻
This bass looks stunning! The Capuccino ML2 is what I would buy, and of course Pete's. The otthers...it's just that I don't like the reverse head. Thanks for showing us, Rob!
chapman, being an affiliate of Andertons due to partial ownership of Captain Lee is already known for charity work. I would personally love to see these hit the Reverb market to allow all of us an opportunity to support/purchase Chapmans. I personally would make an offer on three of them already. that HotRod Is a "Shut up and take my money" model. Love to see your name in the states and openly play and support your brand overall to many.
I would happily give some of those a loving home… show them a picture of you every year at Christmas… those ghost frets made me miss my satin black one ! I’m sure yall will come up with a great idea!
Bea’s ML3 sig is still one of the best looking guitars I’ve ever seen. His ML1 sig that he sanded down is also up there for me.
Love you Rob, you are a great guitarist and great person!
Definitely keep those guitars. Maybe start a Chapman museum?
There will come a day, all too soon, when you won't be playing anymore. The memories will be cherished.
That would be cool! Maybe I need to set up Chapman HQ Malta
@@RobChappers Expect a Malta tourism boom!
@@RobChappers
That advise is coming from an "older" guitar picker (58). I wish I had kept some of the guitars that I resurrected, modded, played and loved from the time I was touring in the US. Maybe they aren't what my memory recalls, but it would be nice to have a couple of those back! I own much better quallity instruments now but a fond memory is worth WAY more than the instrument. Especially when your fingers don't work like they used to.
Keep up the great work mate. I enjoy living vicariously through guys like you and Bea and.........
Rob, some of these guitars are just wonderful! The ml2 in cream looks great. I would modify this guitar with a black pickguard out of massive metal (bronze or steel), Seymour Duncan Black Winter humbucker in the neck position and a Ragnarok humbucker in the bridge position, to create a creamy monster...
Also the red Rabea baritone looks really wonderful. I like baritones! I have some Chapman guitars at home and it brings so much joy to play the ml1 baritone or the Ghostfret. You are making inspiring instruments! Thank you. 🤘
Some real beauties there. Love the Lawmaker Legacy with the Lil 59 in the neck position. 🔥
Some these need to be production models. Especially the hot rod ones and that Ghost Fret with the green to black fade. I would happily pay more, especially for the floyd one
Those Hot Rod prototypes remind me a bit of a certain guitar from the early 90s that I always fancied. Same HS pickup config, I think they had Kahler trems?
But their real party piece was this: despite being bolt-on, 24-fret, vaguely Strat-shaped shredder-type instruments, they had the 24.75” scale length.
That’s a hard combination to find these days. The Nightswan is the only current model that I can think of. You might just make a killing if you can that kind of spec to market at a reasonable price.
"And as the masses gathered, hoping for just a glimpse of his revered weapons of tone, the Monkey Lord arrived. As he revealed each of his weapons, known as the "Runes of Tonal Creation" by his loyal subjects, they all looked on in awe and wonder."
Very cool to see how your lineup has evolved. And rosewood necks... Just awesome.
Thanks, Rob. P.S. Just had to have a little fun with the unboxing. Cheers.
All these uploads lately (at least it seems?) this is great!
Thanks man ❤
The Green ML3 Hot Rod and the coffee cream ML2 are legit 2 guitars i wish i owned! My jaw is on the floor!
Hi Rob I have only ever seen one of your guitars in the flesh in my local guitar shop , a ml3 pro and I was so impressed with the quality and playability unfortunately I couldn't afford it but one day hopefully , you guys do amazing work 👍
That’s a mega haul! Some absolute beauties there!
That ghost fret in that green goblin finish is a dream guitar to own !
You make these epic guitars in my home country and it's honestly unbelievable
Hiya Rob! Nice guitars. The bass looks good. I kinda like the color on the ML2 prototype. I LOVE the Guardian prototype. REALLY Great body style. Just wish I could afford one.
OMG!!! What would I have to do to get that Ghostfret that you were testing by moving around the strap buttons? That is the most beautiful guitar that i have ever seen in my life
That black to green ghost fret is lovely. I'd love to get it in my workshop and do something to it (oo-er)...but no I reckon you should give these guitars to some of us amateur guitar makers to see what we can do to them for fun.
Maybe reach out to other UA-cam channels that mod/build guitars and see if they'd be interested in a colab. Good reach for both channels. After that, pick your favourites and put some up for auction. Although, he who dies with the most, wins!
THIS!
These are absolutely beautiful and kind of like a time capsule. I enjoy the look behind the curtain as it was. It would be kind of interesting since the idea was originally a modding platform to maybe give some away as a contest to the top/most unique modders of chapman maybe? Could do some really nice charity raising too though I know that is a mess to deal with sometimes.
That red Ghost Fret is classy as F
Love the rosewood necks, they look awesome!! Also, i hope there will be a Chapman bass at some point? Need to add to my collection! 😃
Auction them off! ❤
Ahhh that goblin blood ghost fret, clearly should give that to me haha. such a beautiful guitar, honest wish i could afford a chapman but it is absolutely beautiful. Also that lawmaker baritone is gorgeous.
I played a ML Telecaster style guitar not so long ago, with an ebony fretboard and a P90.
It played and sounded great. Then I checked the website.
It's not the 1st time that I've checked the website, unfortunately I have really specific "esthetic tastes" with guitars, and a couple of things that I generally can't stand, like anything with matte finish (not just for guitars) and I don't need it, I don't have sweaty hands. I just can't stand black painted metal hardware, it always looked cheap to me ... I don't know why.
There are other things I can't live without when playing, like large visible inlays whenever I need to take a quick look at the fretboard, to the point that I already stuck "fake inlay" decals on 3 guitars of mine.
I know that's it's totally "bling-bling-ish useless" but things like beautiful bindings really turn me on.
Sometimes, guitars have great electronics, and play like a dream, but, it's easier to swap electronics than changing the aspect of a guitar, so I'll always chose the great playing guitars that already "look appealing". There is only one that I completely "transformed", and I don't think I'll do it twice (just too much to do : www.imagevenue.com/ME12HTBR ).
Anyway ! Chapman has great playing guitars, I only wished I had different tastes.
that white ESP LTD of yours is absolutely beautiful ...
I think we need to see a DPT in "that well known colour" with a rosewood neck. Because Pete has hot chocolate smooth licks
Really loved the cream ML2, what an amazing unique colour.
You could give away a couple to a school/unis music department or send out a bunch of messages to artists asking if they'd like to try some prototypes.
Failing that, I'm always in the market for a free new guitar. 😂
The green ML3 Hot Rod with the fixed bridge looks really amazing. A kinda wish it went into production :)
The baritone looks amazing. Soo many premium specs. Really might pull the trigger on one. I bet it would sound immense thru my Peavey Invective.
@RobChappers that relic ml1 is my old guitar 🎸 awesome to see it in a video 😎
What a great green guitars collection! Thanx Rob.
I think you should make 20 of your subscribers day... thus further enhancing your good name, sending forth positive vibes and knowing that those instruments will make muchos deep thundertwang all about the place
That relic/modded seafoam hot rod was quite nice
As a long time watcher of this channel (SUBWAY BANDIT era), and now musician, the saddest part of chapman, for me, it's that the basses never took off. Especially for the prices back then...
There‘s one thing i would like to see… an ml3 trad. ‚esquire‘! Just like the blue ml3 trad. but with just one hot singlecoil format pickup in a T-Style bridge, esquire switching and nothing else… pure rockmachine 🤘🏻
DPT, the baritones and that green to black ghost fret 🤯
That legacy lawmaker is perfection 👌 🤤
I’m happy to see the MLB-1 again
That blue relic looks familiar 😅😊 glad you finally got a play at it!!
Either a giant give-away, for the prototypes that are viable to play, or start a Chapman museum, featuring all the prototypes you have all over (in storage, at home gathering dust, etc.).
You should build a chappers garage. Show off your prototypes and customers can pick and choose what type of guitar to be made with a glenfiddich haha
That Ghost Fret Classic is just pulchritudinous.
The Bass was available for a short time. I remember gassing HARD over it but couldn't afford it at the time. Would still very much like one!
Awesome video Rob, they look amazing🎸👍
I love the turquoise blue reliced one
Let us try the Danish Pete Telecaster prototype 😅🙏 it looks like the ultimate mix of modern and traditional! Cool to see how much the guitars still excite you after so many years of reviewing testing 😃
That modded blue ml1 is a beauty! That would be one to buy if it ever went up for sale
oh man that modded older ml1 in the cool seafoam green? colour looks sick I'd 100% buy that if it was a production model
It would be a dream come to true to own the Legacy Law Maker, I’m in love with that instrument since day 1 I have seen it!
You should do a series of modding vidoes with a local luthier to get the guitars all set up and unique
Yeah love that idea
Thems some tasty ol geetars right there with some chonky riffage :)
Oh I do love those so hard to choose a favorite, that said Danish Pete (in grey) for me for me if I was pushed - Think a raffle would for your fans on you tube would rock buddy
Some cool stuff in here for sure
naturally what you should do with those guitars are dirty things, unleash your "chapman vision".
Mod them and then make some fans really happy with those abolutely unique (x2) guitars
love your vids! long time fan wanting to suggest you send out some of these prototypes to your brethren for modding and relicing! i would LOVE to do this🙏🤗
I have an idea for a heastock on a ghostfret...
Make the headstock look like the head and upper jaw of a TRex...the tuner knobs will look like teeth..
😊😊😊
😂
Dude I really love that frappecino colored ML2
The ML 2. Naturally you didn’t demo my runaway favorite. Oh well, you’ve something for everyone in an auction.
I want that swamp ash green ml3 proto!!!!!!! Damn is that sexy. The Floyd version is wicked as well
Im still rocking the original ML1. Tracked a single with it not long ago
You should give that ghostfret to me! The ML3 hotrod looks fantastic. You should see what I've done to my ML1 pro modern.
Yaaaas! I've been waiting for Chapman bass a long time! Still hoping for GhostBass in Egyptian Gold ;)
If ye ain't sweatin', yer doin' it wrong! 😉
That Guardian proto was really cool. Reminiscent of several different guitars, yet it has it's own vibe. What should you do with all these protos? Is there a Chapman Guitars Museum? Or, maybe, hang them up somewhere in the custom shop or office. It's a shame to have all those lovely guitars collecting dust in a warehouse.
My favorite was the Simms built Ghost Fret. I'm more partial to blue/black guitars, but that toxic green down the middle fading to black on both ends has some evil lurking in it, in a good way.😈
THAT BASS!!
It has blue frets!! Just got off the phone with Dave to work out why, I think it might be blued steel
The green HS hot rod with the swamp ash body has got my name all over it. Me wants it.
I know that Somerset Music Academy in Chard would love to take one or two!!
Hey chappers! I would love to buy that chapman T style with the floyd rose in it! Looks awesome.
Would be really great to see some of the Chris Robertson prototypes 🙏
That run @ 5.33….🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I prefer the look of the Bea's over the new Law Maker. The Gold Hardware and Bursts look so tasty. Also the roasted neck with ebony fretboard. I bought a ML3 Bea Standard and love the neck. I couldn't get myself to buy the baritone because I didn't like the finish that much.
Here is an idea what to do with these Rob. You should send the Bea Baritone my way! You can relic it and have some fun with it before. :D
