- I go over the settings of my Baofeng Repeater. These are settings that work for me. Your results may vary. Try out these settings and see if it works for ya. Thanks for watching! 73
Finally I can made my repeater work!!! Thanks!
@@AlexFacchi let me know how it works for you. Thanks for watching!
Great explanation man! I have a ton of these laying around I might just make one for GMRS. 73!
All this setup also works for UHF bands ?
It's Thorsday! Day of Thor!
Hope you're well. Ty for the radio help...
Thanks for the video. Question - I literally have the exact same hardware as your video, have the exact settings you laid out, too. However, as soon as the repeater radios are turned on, the red light (sits below VFO/MR button) comes on for both radios. I tried changing the TX / RX freqs by going up to 147.420 and 148.420 but still same problem. Any suggestions? (this video got my subscription)
@@AM-KX is your receive antenna near electronics like wifi or a phone? Also, does the surrounding environment have a lot of RF interference that you can think of? These would be the only things I can think of off the top of my head. It is a Baofeng so don't be surprised if you need to get new ones to do it successfully. I also have something like 10 or more UV-5R radios floating around the house and I did have to have a couple of the better working radios to make it work. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
@@thesaltyham7144 actually yes - was working with them right near the desk / computer with both wifi and bluetooth connections galore. LOL! I'll get them outside and give it another try. But there's no wiring issue (wiring regarding the baofeng crossover box/cable that you have - which I have) or add'l settings internal to the UV5R that you know of that could cause it? Thanks and have a great weekend.
@@AM-KX The squelch would be the only other setting i could think of that you could adjust.
So 10 days later. How did it work out for you?
@@thesaltyham7144 broke down and bought the Surecom simplex/duplex repeater (essentially records the incoming, then retransmits over the same freq). Only ties up one radio.
