My favorite character in the series
I have done an extended analysis of the original character and I have come to this conclusion that he is actually my favorite character from the original cast
This is because she is the only character who is not a bad ass anymore. She is the only character who is this different from every other protagonist from the original cast
She is the only character with a severe gaping weakness that she has not resolved or come to terms with 13 years down the line. I made a very detailed analysis of our characters and I invite you to watch it or else this comment will get very very long

To understand just how deep claire's original character is, to the point that I think she's too good for Resident Evil, she should be in Kevin Conroy's BATMAN, to understand her story, you need to have JUST a little more knowledge of psychology than the average person.
Her story ABSOLUTELY SCREAMS! SCREAMS PTSD!
Ddin't you find it odd that not only is she the ONLY main RE protagonist NOT to join BSAA or Stratcom, but EVEN AFTER THIRTEEN years, NO OTHER PERSON, except Chris and herself know about Steve? And yet, the consequence of what happened to Steve was referenced AT LEAST EIGHT TIMES between Degenerations and Revelations 2.
Also, there is IN-GAME EVIDENCE, that this poor girl, she was starting to go MAD, as in INSANE with grief over what happened to Steve. Even I was shocked when I uncovered that.
This level of DEPTH not only makes Claire not a bad ass anymore (she's a survivor, like George and Yoko from outbreak) but she is BY FAR the most UNIQUE character in all of Resident Evil, and my favorite character in RE BY A LONG SHOT.

In a sea of bad asses, Claire Redfield is a softie who can fight. That does not make you a bad ass. Leon is a bad ass, Eva, Naked Snake and The Boss are all bad asses with character depth.

Not only is claire my favorite character in the series but she’s probably my favorite of all time. I really loved the fact she had a natural ability to survive without it making it seem forced or superhuman. A well written genuine character that I think is very underrated. No video game franchise has anything close to a Claire redfield. I felt like I went through a war with Claire when RE2 came out and I named my daughter after her. Great video

Yes there is one this Chris Redfield IS a Different completly new Portrait of Chris Redfield,since 7 and 8 are clearly reboots where Chris is the only Desperate try to Connect 7 and 8 to the Rest. Didnt anyone was suspicious about the fact why Chris Redfield was Just a few Minutes present in 7 and Just sayed the wird's "im Redfield" and looked and acted so different a clear indication of a visible reboot? I hated how Alexia was done in Darkside Chronicles. In Code Veronica she was arrogant, snobby and believed she was queen of the world but despite her insanity and evil in a twisted, incestuous way she did love her brother Alfred despite calling him an inept but loyal soldier ant in a note. Darkside Chronicles Alexia on the other hand was petty, childish and killed Alfred with one of the tentacles she controlled for not waking her up on time. She also kept talking about the virus inside her as if it was her ancestor Veronica reincarnated.

The feeling of being betrayed by one within her workplace is a feeling Chris knows all-too-well, so he can without a doubt help her cope with it; Neil was the Albert Wesker of Terrasave. It DOES bring up a question though: was Terrasave dissolved or overhauled after Revelations 2? I want to think the group still functions since the RE franchise needs humanitarians as well as anti-BOW combatants to give the world a ray of hope post-umbrella, but I guess only time will tell
I guess all Claire's but the Revelations 2 one would be my favorite, but there's also someone who looks so much like her in RE8 Village too though. I must wait and see if that's her.

Coming back to this video after a long time, I have done more work on Claire Redfield than anyone else on youtube.
As you mentioned, Infinite Darkness, there is also a Code Veronica reference in it that only makes sense to Claire.
In Death Island, there are 4 such references,
all in all, there are TWENTY TWO Code Veronica references.
Everyone I have met, missed Claire's story entirely, because of Capcom's bad execution.
My favorite Claire is from the darkside chronicles. I love Alyson court and I miss her. 2 is from remake 2
Steve telling Claire he loved her never made sense to me... in any way shape or form.
Steve was just a thirsty kid who mostly saw Claire as some hot anomaly on rockfort island. In the end he certainly cared for her but I doubt it was anything more than a crush.

Oh man that's actually a good one, though I hate him for being a complete jerk, I do like him as a character that we love to hate
@@HeYDeVuH his personality changed pretty significantly over the years and portrayals. He's very detached and professional in the original RE3 and Outbreak, then got almost Bond villain like in Operation Raccoon City and he's over the top campy villain in the remake. His efficiency and record are on par with HUNK for success rate and survivability, but unlike HUNK, he's a lot more versatile, being an unparalleled assassin, infiltrator, demolition expert and also a pilot. While definitely a sociopath and not a good human being he's arguably the best operative money can buy in the RE verse.

The Netflix Infinite darkness Series was great continuation of the Events of Resident Evil 4 and degeneration since Infinite darkness story takes place in 2006 its taking place 2 years after Resident Evil 4 and 1 year after the Events in Degeneration. So we learn what claire had doing since code Veronica and before the Events of revelations 2. It also explains what leon was doing up until Resident Evil 6 where he returned in the Games since the movie damnation takes also place in 2011 and is set right before the outbreak in tall oaks. Because the one ada was talking to in the end of damnation about the Queen plaga sample was derek Simmons.😉
She had such a graceful and mellow deamoner in her first two games. A very interesting contrast to her 'tough biker' shtick. That's Claire Redfield to me and it kinda stinks that they've been straying further away from it with each iteration of RE2, considering that version was alot of fan's first impression of the character. The 2019 Claire is fine in her own way but her mannerisms are off and doesn't have that retro hairstyle which was more common back in the day.

OK, I have SERIOUS reservations about this...
1. The part about the Redfields being orphans? Where did this information FIRST appear?
2. Sherry is NOT a long standing protagonist. She ONLY showed up in ONE GAME as a main protagonist. RE2 she was NOT a main protagonist.
3. In RE6 in canonical, then the CANONICAL ending of RE2 is Claire A, Leon B, not Leon A, Claire B. So in the canonical ending, Mr X never comes after Sherry
4. You missed a point in Code veronica ENTIRELY! If you look VERY CLOSELY at Degenaration and Revelations 2, you will see that Steve's death is actually the most pivotal incident in her life. Notice she is THE ONLY ONE that DOES NOT JOIN BSAA or Stratcom, after surviving at least 1 biohazard incident. Hell, even it is indicated that Sherry ends up joining BSAA, ONLY CLAIRE joins Terra Save... I have made a long video about this, and other points, showing that THIS VERY FACT is actually VERY TRAGIC, as she probably could not bring herself to join BSAA, due to the psychological trauma caused by Steve's death.
5. The point of degenaration was to BURY claire redfield. The focus was on Leon and Angela and curtis, Claire went back to AUNTY MODE! just like in RE2, where she was AUNTY CLAIRE. Also, why does she look like a potato in the face in Degenaration?
6. The point of Revelations 2 was for Claire to be exumed and burried AGAIN! She went back to AUNTY CLAIRE... AGAIN!!! and was a conduit to tell the story between Barry and Moira.
7. Infinite darkness, and welcome to racoon city are non cannonical, especially to the main story.
So yeah... you missed A LOT!
As for me, my favorite version of claire was in the OG Code Veronica, coz that was the ONE TIME she was not in AUNTY MODE! and was not a conduit to tell someone elses story.

Claire didn't join BSAA because she's a civilian and she likes helping people more than fighting

Sherry Birkin is also a civilian, it is implied at the end of RE6 that even she might have joined BSAA.
And BOTH of them are less skilled in survival and dealing with weapons than Claire. Claire survived FOUR Biohazard style incidents canonically. Sherry survived two, Rebecca survived 2, but even after all that Claire STILL didn't join BSAA.
Is someone like Rebecca Chambers, who likes helping people so much that she's willing to overlook her police duty (something even Chris wasn't willing to do at the end of CVX, as he said as a surviving member of sTARS, I have to finish this) to let a convicted criminal go, if someone as kind and good hearted as her joined BSAA and Claire DIDN'T, this only means that there is something psychological keeping her from joining BSAA.
Watch Resident evil Degenerations VERY VERY CLOSELY. Claire is actually suffering from PTSD.
@@lukayaroslav9914 MY friend, in your response, please consider this as well. The "supplementary" (as in different from the actual game/movie) material suggests that Claire is the most promiscuous girl in all of Resident Evil, basically the non assasin version of Anna Williams.
IN THE GAME/MOVIE however, Ashley Graham hits on Leon, Ada Wong cuts a dick/sex joke with Krauser, (That's a big thing you've got, but I don't like it when men play rough) Moirah keeps cussing for no reason, even Jill probably made passes at Chris or his romantic life. Even Angela Miller hits on Leon at the end of Degenerations.
Even Fao Ling in Resident Evil Dead Aim ends up having sex with Bruce in the middle of the ocean.
Claire is THE ONLY main female protagonist that does not do any of these things... never hits on anyone, neever flirts with anyone, , never makes sex jokes etc.
For a girl that's supposed to be more promiscuous than all the others, she acts like the biggest "good girl" than all the others. In CVX, she's even seeing in a praying position!

Rebecca is a field medic and a chemist. Granted it's for STARS but still, she is not a combatant. Her Biohazard survival count is also 2.
Claire is a civilian who survived FOUR Biohazard style events. She has shown more competence and ability than some of the trained combatants, such as Brad. She has shown that definitely in her survival skills and knowledge of weapons, proving that her being a civilian is an irrelevant factor for her.
And Leon, please don't forget that Leon NEVER had a single day of police duty where he actually did some policing.
And what is the BSAA? BSAA are boots on the ground counter Biohazard/BOW people. Please don't tell me that a person who survived more biohazards than Sherry and Rebecca and Shevva has no place in the BSAA.
This is the problem with the, "Claire is a civilian" argument. It has no merit on the larger scale of things. Tha'tts why I don't buy into it. The in-game/movie evidence suggests that she's just as capable as any other BSAA member whilst being a civilian.

Claire in Revelations 2 just looks so...weird. She looks good in RE2, Code Veronica, Degeneration, and Death Island, but she looks...bizarrely old in Revelations 2.
Revelations 2 takes place in 2011, and Death Island is set in 2015. Why does she look older in 2011 than she does in 2015? It's weird to me.
Probably cause her model in Death Island is reused from Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, a netflix miniseries that canonically takes place slightly after the events of re4

RE Village takes place in a Village and a castle just like RE4. RE4 Remake was never confirmed but if there was to be one the castle is suppose to be cut out. There are videos on youtube comparing the RE4 castle to the Village castle and its almost identical in so many ways. RE3 Remake had a free game come with it and it was half a game, doesn't this have a free game too. And this castle is identical with RE4 if you actually take time too be smart and notice. No RE4 Remake was confirmed. Capcom is gipping you all don't be a victim of them like a lot of us were with RE3 Remake, so much content like the clock tower were edited out, you only saw it once fighting Nemesis. Not at all seeing the inside and experiencing a real remake and playing that part of the game

Another proof that Resident Evil 2,code Veronica and revelations two have a better understanding,care and Faithfull continuity of a Resident evil Protagonist than Resident Evil 7 and 8 all together. Even Infinite darkness and Degeneration did a better job in continuing and expanding the Developement of a Protagonist than the awfull crapy Village. Didnt have watched death Island but im sure they not disrespect and butcher the Resident evil legacy like Village did.😜 There was a clear Connection in every Resident Evil Game from zero to Resident evil 1, Resident Evil 2 and 3, than Resident Evil Code Veronica the darkside chronicles, Resident Evil 4, revelations 1, Resident Evil 5, revelations 2, Resident Evil 6 where all connected and build up perfectly to events that will happen later. This all was cut of and broken with Resident Evil 7. Village was even more disconnected to everything that came before than 7 and felt so outlandish,strange and like a completly different game all together,unlikable Antagonists that where uninteresting,lame and boring beseides Heisenberg who was the true Highlight in that Game. 😉
