I think instead of Ethan basically telling him to ___ off he should've discussed alternative plans to using his daughter as a weapon, and Heisenberg should've had a more level head dealing with Ethan, dude just went through literal hell for his daughter and of course he's still going to be pissed despite the revelation that Karl hates miranda.I mean clearly they both want to take out miranda. I just think it was dumb for Ethan to shut him down so quick and for Karl to lose his cool so quick. A compromise could've been made just saying.
Heisenberg didn't actually kill anyone when he made his abominations. He made sure to only use corpses of people who already died some other way. While he definitely used the wrong words to Ethan, I don't see him as a completely bad guy. He was forced into an impossible situation. He SHOULD have just said "I'll help you get Rose, and then we can fight Miranda". Don't mention USING Rose to fight Miranda, and Ethan would've gone along with him.
The best way he could have rallied Ethan to his cause was to push the idea that Miranda will never let Rose go, then to propose an alliance. That's the basis of a discussion, to propose a solution that will benefit both side. But I think him not doing that fit his character. He was selfish and full of himself, and his choice of words reflect that. For him, Rose was not a baby, but just an amazing source for a super sized Soldat.
@@hungryalien8494 Yeah...the tragic part is he was only the way he was because of Miranda. I guess that's how you know a villian is well written - when you can sympathize with them. If I had written the story, he and Ethan would've teamed up, and he would've sacrificed himself at a pivotal moment, which gave Ethan an opening to kill Miranda.
@@StormsparkPegasus oooh that's a good alternate ending i was hoping for us to side with him then once we defeated miranda together he then reveals the part about wanting to use rose and then heisenberg because a nice plot twist final boss but not like a crazy like out of nowhere one but i think i like your idea better either way i wish we would've been given the chance to team up with him but who knows maybe they'll give us a couple alternate endings as dlc since so many fans want to see how the story could've played out differently
@@andres.5204 They could've done it like RE7 where you choose whether to side with him or not. Although, I don't think RE8 would've worked if the factory hadn't been one of the zones you have to go through, so if you do side with him there would still have to be a reason for Ethan to go there.
@@karmnoddie737 well I just moticed the bsaa note on the board connecting the lords to miranda. He knows of bsaa maybe even contacted them to come clean up after miranda was disposed of, chris used to be a part of bsaa and irrc was with bsaa during re:5, they likely document EVERYTHING so he couldve seen the file on that event as his research into chris.
@@trevorgibson8310 I wanna read that report 😂 “Agent Redfield showed extreme courage, valour and strength, when, to rescue his partner, Agent Alomar, he destroyed a large boulder using only his fists.”
Him being used in Miranda's experiments as a kid understandably pissed him off and he was frustrated by the other 3 lords blind loyalty to her. He saw through her but the others were stupid to believe she loved them.
Something tells me Karl isn't dead. He's the strongest Lord who adjusted to the parasite due to being raised in the environment unlike the others and being a child experiment. He's become a fan favourite, The Duke said he can still feel his presence and whilst Ethan's arc has ended, Rose's has just begun. He could easily come back as a vengeful villain or an odd companion for her if Rose is the next protagonist of this Resident Evil Arc.
I could see that. Both sound pretty cool and it wouldn't be upsetting narratively nor overstaying his welcome. I always felt we didn't really see enough of him given how built up he was as the last lord
Heisenberg was pretty much the only thing I liked about Village, storywise. I believe it’s the first time in the franchise that a henchmen realized they were considered expendable by their master and was actually taking steps to turn on them. I think it would’ve been interesting if Ethan actually did team up with Heisenberg for awhile before he revealed his ultimate plan to weaponize Rose.
Some people want that as DLC but I'm afraid they'll make that non-canon similar to giving Zooey the vaccine in RE 7. I really wish a minion turning on their master wasn't just with Karl, I would've loved if Lady D came to the same realization after Ethan left the Castle if she managed to survive the dagger.
" I believe it’s the first time in the franchise that a henchmen realized they were considered expendable by their master and was actually taking steps to turn on them" Actually Albert Wesker and William Birkin did that way before him.
@@jared8530 This is true. And she also ended up as a powerful b.o.w herself as seen in the ending confirming she indeed was a dangerous weapon if going out of control.
The only mistake he made was saying 'Use her'. If he had said it say, 'with her help' or 'together we can all' etc, Ethan probably would have joined him.
One tragic bit I like about him is that, were he not so sociopathic, he could have made an armor-piercing argument to Ethan: Kill Miranda to get her out of Rose's life forever. Unfortunately he was incapable of thinking in terms of "for Rose's sake", which doomed his negotiation with Ethan.
Well since he is probably gonna share the same fate as Ethan in the end. Would that be epic to see at Ethan Perspective when Heisenberg also slowly crumble part of him due to death of Miranda and the his power slowly desipate and said to Ethan before Ethan press that detonator trigger while looking at Ethan and said Heisenberg- well, look like this is the end of line, i guess" Ethan - For both of us *squish the trigger*
I liked Karl, but feel like Ethan's singlemindedness robbed us of a lot of much more potentially interesting conversations with him and the others throughout the game. I understand he was a man on a mission to save his baby girl but there were too many times where he was talking a lot but never really saying anything. In a lot of ways I could say he reminded me of the type of player who never cares to read notes or understand why things are happening in the game. In the end, Karl was an interesting character trying to play off a protagonist who never gave a shit.
I kinda agree, but in a way I could understand why Ethan was that way. If my kid was held by a bunch of monsters I'd like to see them just try and fucking stop me.Though it would be reality so i wouldnt be as durable lol
The fact that he's there to save his daughter but disregard Lady Dimitrescu daughters and doesn't feel bad for killing them, like yeah they're trying to kill you, but their still children. Meanwhile Donna, Angie and Morogeau they all had a childlike feel to them, but for Ethan they're all sick in the head.
@@JuneauLime in Ethan's defense, it's not like he was hunting Lady D's daughters. He was defending himself. This is not Naruto, it's not like Ethan can talk no jutsu them
@@eldenlion5850 Karl keep reminding him of the her deceit which means…. Don’t buy it for a second your daughter is dead. She is very much alive. Ethan was speedrunning.
After I defeated Maroue and went back to the village, I couldn't help but laugh at all the billboards with the yellow arrows pointing to where I needed to go.
I love the theory that while we as Ethan are running around the different houses and areas Heisenberg is the one leaving ammunition and painting progression areas and hints in yellow, not the Duke because why would the Duke give away ammo and healing items for free when we are the ones that come to buy from him much less compare to what is outside also Heisnberg's factory is a Weapons factory
The idea of Heisenberg running around with yellow paint, neatly coloring hints for Ethan and dropping ammunition at convenient places sound hilarious to me & I am all in for that
I dont like this theory though. Because why would he do that? The Duke may do it so we can buy the weapons. We may find sniper ammo for example before finding the sniper so we go to buy it. I know he sells ammo too but we need to upgrade or the inventory will be full. And as The Duke is everywhere ill say he does that.
i think that's canon. he's definately confirmed to have given ethan the m1911 (the "look out the window" puzzle. the tip is written on a picture of one of his soldats, and it's in his handwriting if you compare it to his other scribblings in the factory), so it's likely he's the one who gave him the others too. also, the vehicle you eventually use to defeat him, which was made by him, is specifically stated to be made from metals that heisenberg _can't control_ . why would he go out of his way to make it this way, if not _to assure ethan that he's safe using it and it's not a trap_ when they team up?
Honestly, I never wanted to fight Heisenberg. I always wanted to work with him under the condition that Rose was saved during that time. I feel like a choice and multiple endings would have been a great way to improve this game.
Anyone felt let down for the boss fight with Heisenberg? I felt like capcom could have had some badass design like a man-shaped-machine with his incredible electro magnate power fighting in a dark medium size of fight chamber that requires environmental use to defeat him, would have fit the theme of re7/re8 properly with it being a fps game.
I just wanna say that RE: 8 missed a big opportunity to give us the choice at least to weather we wanted Heisenberg to team up with us or not. RE: 7 gave us that ass choice of saving Zoe or Mia which was memeified to all hell. Why not do that with Heisenberg? I mean ok Ethan doesn’t trust him great. Work that into the story make it so Heisenberg n Ethan teamup, get Rose, and fight Miranda Dark Souls style then once Miranda is taken care of they could’ve made two endings based on how you played the game. You could have an ending where Heisenberg double crosses you and fuses himself with Rose to make an absolutely hard boss or make it so you guys both go your separate ways and make’em friends. Also no Nicolas Cage references seriously!?!?
They probably didn't gave you a choice because they needed to make a whole new story mode, dynamics, cutscenes, animation, and new bunch of dialogues which is a lot of more time, money, and effort. As much as I recall the choice between the two girls in re7 wasn't much different and Zoe quickly died afterwards.
@@AngelloDelNorte what you said is true plus in resident evil 7 Ethan real goal is to get his girlfriend from danger so it became totally understand the story of Resident evil 7. While I understand that Ethan would antagonize Heisenberg, I feel like he shoulda been like "I'll team up with you, but we're not using my daughter as a weapon"
That could've been the best possible scenario for both characters. Though Ethan would need to make sure to watch his back after they succeed, just in case Heisenberg decides to turn against Ethan once Mother Miranda was dealt with.
@@HeYDeVuH It could have been a great twist too! I get why Ethan would challenge him using Rose as a weapon, but it could have been so good seeing him do that. I actually didn't like how hard he goes with the "Go fuck yourself" angle, Heisenberg was practically being nice to him lol
That's interesting even when infected with the Cadou Parasite it still needs an electric current to stimulate the brain & reactivate a corpse. Frankenstein didn't have that Level of Scientific Knowledge so props to Capcom for adding those Details.
At first, I wasn't very interested in Heisenberg as a character. I actually found him pretty irritating, with his constant monologues during his section of the game and narcissistic, self-righteous personality. However, after playing RE 8 several times now, I realized just how well written he is. I thoroughly love his character now. There are so many facets to his personality, and despite his actions, he's just as much a victim of Miranda (that definitely doesn't make him innocent, though). He was the only one of the lords not blinded by her, knowing her underlying motives of just using them and the villagers for her own benefit, even holding a grudge against her and what she turned him in to. He felt so trapped and desperate deep down. This game isn't perfect by any means, but there were quite a few things they did well, Heisenberg being one of them. If only they'd treated Lady Demi the same way.
@@leeagdup1 For me it was mainly how much better she could have been written. She was such a fantastic character, even the main focal point of the advertisement and marketing for the game itself, only to be the very first of the main antagonists killed off. I went into RE 8 thinking she was going to be the main villain of the story, like Sadler from RE 4; I think a lot of people did, honestly. I really loved her section of the game so much, but it definitely should've been longer, and the writing for her character more fleshed out, like Heisenberg's was. It was disappointing. 😕 Edit: Also, Donna's section was my favorite, too!
But I would have loved to see someone other than Mother Miranda really kick some ass though lol I don’t get how a magneto wanna be and his toys was stronger than a coven of killer flesh eating fly sisters AND a 10 ft tall vampire AND everything else that went on in that castle lol. But I digress…
I liked the factory. It was so much more...just more. It was this grand, insane hellscape almost. The soldaten (plural of soldat, which is German for soldier) were more interesting than just the werewolves and the ghouls because they were abominations created by the fusion of man and machine rather than just transformed "failures" (apart from Sturm [German again, this time for storm] who he just simply couldn't control). Heisenberg's get up reminded me a lot of Van Helsing and I honestly found him to be the most interesting of the four lords. His motivations were his own, though I'm sure Miranda knew he was planning to betray her anyway. Though we really don't get much interaction with her I doubt she was dumb enough not to notice his contempt for the other lords and herself. Chances are even if Ethan had sided with Heisenberg I can't believe he wouldn't have turned on Ethan in the end anyway.
I see the connection to german with him being a "Karl" and the "Sturm" mini boss, but soldat here isn't used in the german language. It's romanian, also meaning soldier (soldați ; pronounced sol-dat-tzee, plural form). Given the fact the story takes place is Romania, that's the basis of my argument.
At first I thought it was dumb that Heisenberg built a machine from materials that he couldn't control. But after awhile I couldn't help bit wonder if he built it with the intention of it being used against him. That he was just so done with being Miranda's puppet, where he was at a point where he'd be free through either her death or his.
he built the machine FOR ethan to use to help kill miranda, which is sad tho think about because ethan declined the offer, ultimately leading to both of their deaths ::
@@redfieldsheart That’s like really sad, seeing as though we could’ve had an Ethan x Heisenberg team up . Heisenberg was really looking for a battle buddy
My personal theory as to why Eva wasn't resurrected, she wasn't part of the Megamycete, to begin with. Eva was just straight dead, she wasn't absorbed into the "hive". I think, that in order to be absorbed into the Megamycete, the person must have had some useful information that the Megamycete considered "of importance". A little baby, whose only major experiences included being born and getting sick and dying, wasn't deemed "important information" to the Megamycete. I believe, the Megamycete was sentient enough to be able to pick and choose what, and how much, information it wanted to absorb. So, since Eva was never a part of the Megamycete in the first place, that means that no matter how many people Miranda experimented on and sacrificed, no matter how much her power grew, no matter how much her influence spread, no matter how many people she brainwashed, all of it is just wasted effort for a baby that the very Megamycete she openly worshipped, didn't deem important or useful enough to absorb in the first place. That's why ROSE was pulled from the pedestal that Miranda used, and NOT EVA. How's that theory? 🤔 Let me know! 😁
I believe Eva was 10 years old when she died, based on the in game tombstone and notes, but your point still stands. We really cant tell how the fungal root "absorbed" the consciousness of the dead people buried within that village, but you present a good point that the Megamycete might not have assimilated such a small child's essence into its own. Then again, Miranda noted that she saw through "thousands" of consciousness' that the fungal root absorbed over the centuries so it might not be picky, or it might not have any sense of discernment whatsoever Either way, I like to believe your theory that Eva was never there AND Evelyne manifested herself to the forefront in order to thwart Miranda and spite her
@@pointblank2890 I also took into account that Miranda had driven herself into madness. You know how someone just believes in something or someone to the point of deluding themselves into actually thinking it's real, really there, when in reality, it isn't? Miranda's been so fixated on that single goal so much, and for so long. It's also kind of how a woman can believe in being pregnant so much, that she shows all the signs of pregnancy, including the big belly, but when she gets checked, there's no baby. There have been cases like that. Look into them if you're interested. It's crazy! But, you get my point, right? 😅
i’d also like to mention that heisenberg’s focus was to experiment on already dead corpses, rather then alive people, while the other lords didn’t care, and killed living people for their experiments. i love heisenberg. he’s not a villain i’d say.
Alredy commented , but I always found it interesting how he kept Sturm around despite being a "complete failure" It would have been easy for Heisenberg to just dissasemble him, but he kept him in a workshop directly under his office Now whether he felt he would need him one day or if he actually felt a tinge of sympathy for his creation, we might never know
Just Speculating but I believe Heisenburg was playing both sides with Ethan & his hatred of his "family" & Mother Miranda he could help Ethan Kill the others then he hands Ethan the vile containing Rose at end, or He helps Kill Ethan & Mother Miranda would finally let him leave the village.
That would've been a possibility of him playing both sides. We know at his core he just wants to be free but he went about it the wrong way. Though I would've loved to see what would have happened if they did team up
@@HeYDeVuH hey ma man great vid as always, say can u tell me the name of music theme playing in background whn ur talkin bout hesinbergs biology? It's rly amazin in an almost nostalgic kinda way 😅
What's interesting is that Heisenberg plays the role of both Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster For all terms and purposes he was Miranda's greatest "creation" , having superhuman abilities and intelligence with 0 defects unlike the others Very similar to what happened in the actual book, where Frankenstein's monster , after being abandoned, roamed the world and slowly became aware of his surroundings and how ,over time, you can see the parallels between the creation and creator where they are both highly intelligent and go about the world in the same way Again, much like Miranda and Heisenberg Hell, even the Soldats could be a reference to how, in the book, the monster coerced Frankenstein to create another like him so he wouldn't be lonely
I kind of wish the final battle with Heisenberg was done without him transforming into a giant monster. It would be fine if he transformed, but make the battle more of dodging his metal attacks, maybe he can redirect your ammunition at you, and as the battle progresses, he can transform or use the metal plating as armor. It just felt odd to all of a sudden be in a vehicle to fight him when we spent all that time with firearms and floor grenades.
Ugh, I wish he and Lady D had such a bigger part in this hopefully the dlc will shed more light one these characters and maybe alt endings? Or more lore about their past?
keeping my fingers crossed we get some more background on them or something, like i want to know more about who they were before all this/ when the village was more lively and full of people
I was so mad when we didn’t even get a choice of whether to team up with Heisenberg or not. He showed several times where he genuinely wanted to save Ethan and could protect him against Miranda and the other lords. He definitely gave me “Fucked up Magneto plus Van Helsing” vibes, and I absolutely loved all of his witty lines and insults toward Ethan. He seemed like the grumpy eldest son of the family who doesn’t want to deal with their shit anymore. Also his steampunk horror vibes were immaculate, although the area looked pretty overcomplicated and I didn’t particularly like seeing Ethan get stabbed repeatedly by sharp chunks of metal. Heisenberg is also immensely smart, and I would love to see more of him as a character. He seemed like the one lord we could actually convince to help us fight Miranda, and I really.. REALLY wish he had been a little more careful with his wording and that Ethan had been willing to trust him just a little. Like Angie, he’s the “fun kind of crazy” in my opinion, plus being full of himself like Lady D and having some sense of dignity. Loved him as a character and I was genuinely upset when he “died” during the game.
Yeah that would have been interesting to see what would've happened if they did team up, would he have betrayed Ethan after defeating Mother Miranda, how exactly would they utilize Rose's powers, and there just a lot of other scenarios that could've been if they decided to give us the option to work with Heisenberg.
I always felt Karl came to the village during WW2, mostly due to the German style dog tags he always had, maybe as some sort of scientist since the Germans were famous for their grotesque experiments, and his use of German names for his creations. im surprised not many have noticed the dog tags he has, because the only army that uses dog tags in the style that Karl has were the German Wehrmacht during WW2.
While the German experiments of WW2 were horrendous, they don't hold a candle to Unit 731 (A Nazi scientist literally asked to be redeployed after seeing what they were doing). But, Germans have this sense of fashion that is just too good to pass up for this type of thing as well
Its interesting how Karl even managed to be similar to Miranda in the sense of conducting experiments. Difference were the end goals Miranda searched for a suitable host for her daughter while Karl searched for a reliable way to kill Miranda. Hell the total blind and charge of Sturm (german for storm) being a failure could be how Monroe was a failure while the more suitable constructions were favourable or great (Donna and Lady Dimitresecu) i might be stretching but this guy was also oddly the most like his "mother"
His monsters remind me of the movie "Frankenstein's Army". Like a lot. It even has the propeller man. Not that I mind though. As I played through it, the resemblance made the playing the game even more exciting. Without a doubt my favorite act
Neil Newbon is such a sweetheart. The Nikolai cameo I got from him was the best thing ever. Dude just goes in on every character he plays- which is like...all of them xD
By far the best character in the game. Only thing I thought was silly was his end form. Dude could control any metal but couldnt touch Ethans vehicle thingy
Yeah I wish we could have fought him in a more Humanoid form first and yes it was interesting that Heisenberg made a vehicle specifically that he couldn't control
Out of all the characters in Village Heisinbergs character felt the most compelling to me, he just wanted to be out of Miranda's net of influence badly, and yeah with Ethan's circumstances he saw him n rose as an avenue of getting sweet revenge against Miranda, probably the least compelling character for me was lady d, but Heisinbergs background story is incredibly interesting n intriguing, kinda made me wonder if his dad was one of the founding fathers and if that's true I wonder if him n Oswald E Spencer knew each other at some point, maybe he knew about Chris through documentation and reports of virus activity through sleeper agents or something like that, I would absolutely love to see some Heisinberg DLC expand n explore his character maybe even play as him, dam that'll be sweet, anyway there all just thoughts, awesome as vid/doco take care Mr Hay Duvah till the next one 👍
It’s crazy how trauma can work. Either you can use your pain to fuel good like Ethan or you can repeat your trauma like Heisenberg…creating sick experiments on humans && using peoples lives for your own personal reasons.
I mean, Heisenberg actually focused on experimenting on *dead bodies* rather than living human beings, unlike the other Lords who had no issue with killing/experimenting on the villagers, so I have to disagree with that.
So technically no living beings were really hurt when Heisenberg carried out his experiments. Just goes to show that he does have some redemptive qualities.
@@diddles3383 he wanted to use Ethan’s infant daughter to kill his mother 😭😭 and he wasn’t asking either. Did you forget how he rammed that hook into Ethan and dragged him around in the beginning? Im sorry but I don’t forget SQUAT! and if you’d join him than you just evil 😹😹😹
And! Where tf was Redfield at during this whole thing? He only shows up after everything is damn there over. He and his sister shoulda came in there kicking ass with Ethan.
Did not even play Resident Evil: The Village, but learning about all these Characters and their motivations is pretty interesting. Would have been really cool if there was an option to team up with Heisenberg, at least for a while (guess he would betray you anyway in the end).
I'm sure that if Heisenberg was a little more tactful and insured Rose's safety, Eithan may have been more inclined to work with him. I mean, can you imagine the two of them headed through the village with Heisenberg's mechanized army laying waste to the lycan army, and the two of them double teaming Miranda? That would be hard core! Not to mention having him as a personal friend for future endeavors would have been handy. Provided he doesn't try to back stab you or goes off and starts more messed up stuff elsewhere.
I personally would like him even more if got a cheesy German accent and if he adds some German words into his conversations like counting down in German or saying "Evan Winters, Willkommen" at the entrance of his factory or something like "Auf Wiedersehen" before killing him Or his log you can find would be completely in German 😂👍🏻 Anyway, I think he's one of the most unique villains in the resident evil franchise and I would like to see more of him, maybe in some dlcs
This video was genuinely the first time I had ever heard of the four founders (shows how little attention I pay to item descriptions). Do you think you'd ever make a video on the history of the village itself? That is if there's enough to work with
I just noticed at 16:22 when the cutscene is playing next to Donna and Merou’s pictures there’s a map of the village with BSAA COME! Written on it I wonder if Heisenberg somehow contacted the BSAA and told them about the village and that’s why they showed up when we play as Chris and if he did maybe Heisenberg planned to use the BSAA as a distraction to give himself time to move his army to Miranda
Neil is such an amazing mo-cap/voice actor. Almost anything he touches is solid gold. And I always wondered why Heisenberg captures Ethan if he wanted to work with him. Your reasoning makes a lot of sense.

One of my favorite characters in the game, it's a shame he died, he had sooo much potential for future Re games as an Anti hero. That the main problem with RE8 it's story and it's writing.
@@sopYTyes he is actually, if you go trough neil newbon’s gameplay videos the part where he’s fighting himself (fighting Heisenberg) after he explodes he said “he’s not necessarily dead”
The boss fight against Heisenberg was fun to me, but the factory itself really just felt kinda long. I realize that Castle Dimitrescu was quite long as well, but the design and personalities of Lady D and her daughters were so engaging that it was an absolute treat to play through. Also, it's quite pretty! The Factory, on the other hand, is ugly, long, only has one character talking to Ethan on occasion, and it's so full of combat *immediately* after the Lycan Stronghold, which is a combat overload. I feel like we needed a change of pace like how House Beneviento felt so different from Castle Dimitrescu, but instead, the Factory was just another very combat-heavy place. I don't hate it, but I would say it's the weakpoint of the game.
I need to elaborate a bit more about this, I think Karl's transformation was the only one that had no reason or point In happening, Lady D Is a different story but Heisenberg just mutated and destroyed his body for what? Even If he won with Miranda Is living the rest of your life as hideous monster worth the freedom? It just makes no sense and serves only to have our "hero" use the tank thing, Did he really need to go monster mode to kill our headless dude? Nope ...especially since It the 1st scene when we meet him he shows us how powerfull he Is and how easy It Is for him to kill us. You could argue that before the boss fight Heisenberg actually let's us go and gives us one last chance to just piss off, so maby he Indeed needed to transform to have a chance vs Miranda as his army alone might not be enuf ...But this brings be back to my point Is going monster worth the freedom.
i think in mirandas log there was one line that said lady d need continues amount of blood/flesh? not sure if not she'll mutate but she can go back to normal when she eats someone
Yes that would've been an interesting scenario, Ethan just has to make sure to watch his back after they defeat Miranda because Heisenberg could possibly turn his back against him
I feel like there should have been an dlc where he survived his boss fight and he turned on Ethan as his power hungry side and tries to take rose but unfortunately the ending made that impossible. Chris maybe?
Before knowing the story, I wasn't sure how they would be able to tie werewolves, vampires and and electrokinesis to viruses/parasites. Now knowing all these diverse powers derive from the same type of parasite, I'm left a bit disappointed. Eveline's powers in 7 made sense to me, but now this mold can grant basically any kind of power to a host. Where viruses from previous games basically all did the same thing (turn the host into a fleshy abomination) the mold as a concept is just all to vague
He is my fav character in resident evil, and i felt so bad when Capcom didn't make Ethan team up with him to kill Miranda, they had to add options like resident evil 7 when you have save mia or zoe, i really wished they had added an option so you can collaborate with karl then there will be 2 different endings just like resident evil 7...I really hope they will add that option in dlc. karl Heisenberg is such great character and I don't see why people prefer lady dimitrescu anyway i think because her shape .....:/

Thank You very very much and happy that you found the channel and are enjoying the content. Yes there is so much detail within these videos but it's fun to make them. Again thank you and much more to come.
20:50 the line about Ethan having a unique body is interesting and makes me wonder more and more what the BSAA and blue umbral where playing at, if Heisenberg spotted that Ethan was a molded just by looking at him then the BSAA who must have done a full run of test on him to make sure Ethan was ""clear"" of any B.O.W. infection must have known but they still let him ""go"" (probaly with a full security detail watching him) also on a far more creepy note Mia bust of known Ethan was a molded and still had a kid with him??? no way was that artificial inseminations, it makes you wonder what the hell is wrong in her head but then again she was quite a high up agent in the collective you don't help make a B.O.W. like EVELYN without having a compromised sense of right and wrong.
He is such an amazing villain and I wish we got the chance to team up with him and I bet he'll betray Ethan in the end and rule Europe (just a hunch). I also think Urias and Urias Strajer are somewhat related to Heisenberg's family. Neil Newbon is a great actor and he really made this character with such power. 💯👌
I think everyone can agree that there should have been a choice like in RE7 where ofc the ending where you side with Heisenberg won’t be cannon but my god I would have loved to have this
I love your videos. They are so interesting and intriguing and the detail and depth that you go into is really nice and I know it’s hard to do all that and it takes a lot of time but I truly appreciate your work and dedication. People may say that but you are appreciated. Thank you.
I remember first seeing Karl when they revealed Lady D in the 3rd trailer, I seriously thought he would be a werewolf since it appeared that they were leaning in a supernatural direction. I did like that he saw through Miranda and tried to go against her, I wish everyone else saw that she didn't care about them. Some say the DLC should be Ethan teaming up with Karl to kill Miranda but I think it would be a waste and it would most likely end up not being canon like giving Zooey the vaccine in RE 7. His powers remind me a lot of the Marvel character Magneto, Kid and Douglas Bullet from One Piece who had very similar devil fruit powers.
I had the same thought as well with the whole being a werewolf of sorts, some even speculated that he'd be the large Urias monster we saw with the Lycans
I honestly liked his boss battle. I wouldnt want an entire resident evil game going that route, but a little something here and there is fine and refreshing. It was extremely hard to beat him on village of shadows difficulty I'll admit, but I felt like the world's greatest player when I finally did it, so it'll always have a special place in my heart. His voice acting was very fun too, props to Neil
Been loving your story and lore vids I knew about you for a long time before village came out but I'm more interested in story for re than gameplay so I feel this is the right channel to watch.
I really appreciate that you enjoy my take on the lore behind the Resident Evil Games. There is so much detail within them that it's pretty fun to uncover secrets found within the games.
The boss fight with the dude felt like if Lost Planet and RE had a baby. It reminded me of one of the mechs in Lost Planet that had a chainsaw for a melee attack (been ages since I played that game so the specific name eludes me atm). Was a good boss fight although my favorite personally is the final fight with Lady D because she was a flying boss fight and we don't get those often in RE. Last ones I can remember off the top of my head was 3rd form Alexia from CV, and the bat in the church from RE 0.
My theory on the RE:5 Reference is that Hiesenberg was connecting to the megamycete. He would want to know as much about Miranda as he could, and while it makes sense that he knows she can shapeshift, the fact that he knows it comes directly from the megamycete is interesting, tells us he may have been messing with it as well. If he managed a way to tap into it and access information he would want to do that whenever he could. With chris in the village, almost certainly coming into contact with the mold since they had a camp setup underground right next to some, and with the plans accelerating as well as Miranda distracted he would do so to get any final info he could. This could likely explain how he knew since the megamycete could theoretically store all the information of a person that comes into contact with it.
Bro your voice is so relaxing Sometimes i use it for sleeping because i have sleep Problems my schedule is Not good. However good Video. Heisenberg is my favoutite one 😁
Heisenberg easily passes for fully human. As the only member with a true "out" to living a normal life- I get why he would rebel against Double M. Especially when he put 2 and 2 together on her backstabbing them
I first thought Heisenberg was going use his magnetism whenever we try to shoot him with the gun. If Heisenberg try to ask Ethan's help in a different way and try to help Ethan get his daughter back, maybe Ethan and Heisenberg join forces. When I saw Heisenberg transform, I didn't see his face. If only Heisenberg just unleashed his creations on Miranda when Ethan killed the 3 lords.
@@HeYDeVuH I get that Ethan didn't trust him and Heisenberg was talking to Ethan about using Rose to kill Miranda. Ethan didn't like where this was going. Ethan didn't try to talk Heisenberg out of it. Also Heisenberg didn't look another way. I think Heisenberg was desperate for freedom.
This is a case of "This doesn't really make sense story wise but we have to have them fight because we need more gameplay" In reality Heisenberg would have just proposed an alliance to save Rose and kill Miranda and just betrayed Ethan to gain Rose's power. Honestly the game could have ended with Heisenberg and Rose leaving with Chris and then the next game could be Rose hunting down Heisenberg (because he clearly wouldn't join blue umbrella, he wanted freedom)
I still find it incredibly poetic how Ethan's last words to him were Heisenberg's last words to Ethan before he dropped him into the Sturm Hole ("Your funeral!"). I just thought that was a nice touch.
From what I understand, Mother Miranda did a lot of experimentation to find a perfect vessel for her deceased child. Most ended up in failure though. However, the 4 lords became the 4 most successful outcomes even though they mostly have defects. Moreau being the most defective out of the 4, Donna Beneviento with heavy mental illness, and Alcina with her blood related illness and large size cuz of her regenerative powers. However, Karl Heisenberg seemed to be the most normal. He has no mental or physical abnormalities, physical or mental illness and his powers are literally overpowered. My question to anyone is, why don’t didn’t Mother Miranda choose him?
I like to think that Chris is known as a legend across all bioweapons and terrorists for his sheer boulder punching abilities being able to beat Wesker, and so even Heisenberg had heard abt it.
Do you think Ethan should have teamed up with Heisenberg?
I think Karl Heisenberg will just use Ethan and then kill him later.
For sure should have. I would have loved the option to team up with karl
yeah cos it would of been a good dynamic but he gets his arse handed to him by mother meranda
yes 100%

Yes I wish they could've explored this storyline of Ethan joining with Heisenberg, maybe an optional scenario of what would have happened like in RE7
Same. Very cool dude if I do say so myself. When I heard he wanted to rebel was like yeah fuck all them let's save my dang daughter.
@@jeremyknight9980 Lady D is too much of a sycophant to turn on Miranda.

Actually Albert Wesker and William Birkin did that way before him.
Had Heisenberg not tried to use Rose as a weapon, I bet Ethan would team up with him.
And they would've rocked Miranda.
In the end Rose was a weapon....she greatly weakened Miranda so she could be killed
Would that be epic to see at Ethan Perspective when Heisenberg also slowly crumble part of him due to death of Miranda and the his power slowly desipate and said to Ethan before Ethan press that detonator trigger while looking at Ethan and said
Heisenberg- well, look like this is the end of line, i guess"
Ethan - For both of us *squish the trigger*
I liked Karl, but feel like Ethan's singlemindedness robbed us of a lot of much more potentially interesting conversations with him and the others throughout the game. I understand he was a man on a mission to save his baby girl but there were too many times where he was talking a lot but never really saying anything. In a lot of ways I could say he reminded me of the type of player who never cares to read notes or understand why things are happening in the game. In the end, Karl was an interesting character trying to play off a protagonist who never gave a shit.
yeah, ethan is that speedrunner that wants to kill all bosses even if he losses time and could have saved an hour with karl
Weren't the big signs with the messages to Ethan also painted with yellow letters?
The idea of Heisenberg running around with yellow paint, neatly coloring hints for Ethan and dropping ammunition at convenient places sound hilarious to me & I am all in for that
I dont like this theory though. Because why would he do that?
The Duke may do it so we can buy the weapons. We may find sniper ammo for example before finding the sniper so we go to buy it. I know he sells ammo too but we need to upgrade or the inventory will be full. And as The Duke is everywhere ill say he does that.
@@jurgenzaka4957 Because he wanted Ethan to help him kill Miranda. So he would have wanted to help Ethan a little bit.

A choice would have been great, but ultimately I feel like the poor reception resident evil 7’s choice ending had discouraged them from doing it.

I agree on the last part lol they killed the females off first which I found very misogynistic. Beneviento && Angie were my faves.

Somebody hates men....always making it about "misogyny".

That’s like really sad, seeing as though we could’ve had an Ethan x Heisenberg team up .
Then again, Miranda noted that she saw through "thousands" of consciousness' that the fungal root absorbed over the centuries so it might not be picky, or it might not have any sense of discernment whatsoever
Either way, I like to believe your theory that Eva was never there AND Evelyne manifested herself to the forefront in order to thwart Miranda and spite her
@@pointblank2890 I also took into account that Miranda had driven herself into madness.

I agree.
Yeah it was an odd approach and really changed the way the game felt at that moment.
Only Reddit incel with rizz.
"By the way, Karl, did you know that Hitler surrendered in Berlin?"😁
"For the last time, I'm not a holdout!" 😡
While the German experiments of WW2 were horrendous, they don't hold a candle to Unit 731 (A Nazi scientist literally asked to be redeployed after seeing what they were doing). But, Germans have this sense of fashion that is just too good to pass up for this type of thing as well
German experiments are all just Hollywood propaganda
Adding to this, I headcanon that his British accent comes from his mother who married the previous Lord Heisenberg.
@@Furydragonstormer I am scared but also not scared and need to know what 731 is
Its interesting how Karl even managed to be similar to Miranda in the sense of conducting experiments.
His monstrous form just always gave me vibes from Tetsuo the Iron Man. Where it’s just a mash of flesh and metal resulting in some twisted abomination
That's pretty well said

Yes.
Lady D was the milf we CAME for
but
Karl was the Dilf we STAYED for
Woke = cringe. Be based
His monsters remind me of the movie "Frankenstein's Army". Like a lot. It even has the propeller man. Not that I mind though. As I played through it, the resemblance made the playing the game even more exciting. Without a doubt my favorite act
I always thought that it would've been such an interesting twist if we could have joined forces with him. I never understood why that wasn't possible.
yeah an option like we had in resident evil 7 would have been great as well
@@HeYDeVuH We didn't get a choice in Resi 7. Zoey dies and we play as and end the game with Mia either way.
Thank You!!!
Ardyn Izunia style? I don't even play shooters and I'd be down for that.
It would be great to see Heisenbergs army battling with Mother Miranda and the other lords. Very interesting.
@@diddles3383 true but still lol that’s even worse cuz at that point; you can’t even ask them for permission. Plus that’s gross 🤢😹
@@diddles3383 he wanted to use Ethan’s infant daughter to kill his mother 😭😭 and he wasn’t asking either. Did you forget how he rammed that hook into Ethan and dragged him around in the beginning? None of these fools were redeemable. Plus Heisenberg and that damn motorcycle cadaver he used were HARD AF to destroy lol I spent 2 days on each one.
Yeah that would have been nice also that could have been a possibility in the end
can you do a history of the four lords or all the resident evil character's on a teir list@@HeYDeVuH
I personally would like him even more if got a cheesy German accent and if he adds some German words into his conversations like counting down in German or saying "Evan Winters, Willkommen" at the entrance of his factory or something like "Auf Wiedersehen" before killing him
Or his log you can find would be completely in German 😂👍🏻
Anyway, I think he's one of the most unique villains in the resident evil franchise and I would like to see more of him, maybe in some dlcs
Yeah I hope that they cover more of his lore in the upcoming DLC
This video was genuinely the first time I had ever heard of the four founders (shows how little attention I pay to item descriptions). Do you think you'd ever make a video on the history of the village itself? That is if there's enough to work with
I can try but there is so little info so far. Maybe once they release the RE Village DLC with much more lore then I can really cover it in detail
@@HeYDeVuH yeah that's what I figured, I hope we get it soon
I love his character so much. I just want more to him hopefully if we get dlc.
Yes that would be great for him to come back in the DLC, maybe cover a prequel lore of the Village before Ethan arrived
Hopefully with the new dlc in the works, we'll be able to see more of Heisenberg and the other lords since the fans loved them so much.
Neil is such an amazing mo-cap/voice actor. Almost anything he touches is solid gold. And I always wondered why Heisenberg captures Ethan if he wanted to work with him. Your reasoning makes a lot of sense.
Just found your channel and I've been bingeing all your videos. So informative and I'm too scared to replay and find out more about the lore, so you know, good shit. New sub.
Thank you so much for watching and Subscribing. Also much more to come
One of my favorite characters in the game, it's a shame he died, he had sooo much potential for future Re games as an Anti hero. That the main problem with RE8 it's story and it's writing.
He’s not dead he’s still alive
@@CarnageKillerTV666wait what? He is?
@@sopYTyes he is actually, if you go trough neil newbon’s gameplay videos the part where he’s fighting himself (fighting Heisenberg) after he explodes he said “he’s not necessarily dead”
@@CarnageKillerTV666 Oh wow that’s cool
Maybe he could revert back into a human lady D could why wouldn't he?
@@ognjenradanovic1256 She could? Where? When?
@@Eden_Fayiar she said that Ethan is only one next to Miranda that has seen her form than that would mean she can revert back to original form.
i think in mirandas log there was one line that said lady d need continues amount of blood/flesh? not sure if not she'll mutate but she can go back to normal when she eats someone
Ethan should of teamed up with him. That would of been a awesome boss fight against miranda.
Yes that would've been an interesting scenario, Ethan just has to make sure to watch his back after they defeat Miranda because Heisenberg could possibly turn his back against him
He was my favorite "enemy" in the game, I must admit that I haven't played it myself but i've watched complete playthroughs several times.
I hope you get the chance to play the game. Also yeah he's great, I loved how he was portrayed and his interactions with Alcina was great to see
I feel like there should have been an dlc where he survived his boss fight and he turned on Ethan as his power hungry side and tries to take rose but unfortunately the ending made that impossible. Chris maybe?
Chris and his team already knew about Miranda, hence the opening cut scene. So Miranda probably told her family about the soldiers attacking them.
Where viruses from previous games basically all did the same thing (turn the host into a fleshy abomination) the mold as a concept is just all to vague
i mean the werewolf and vampire stuff was explained to an extent through 2 of the lords but yeah electikinesis seems odd to me as well
Always enjoy deep lore vids like this. Heisenburg's story always was intriguing to me alongside the others. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@HeYDeVuH I very much did! Keep up the good work!
Yes that would've been nice. I hope in the upcoming DLC they add more options
I recently found you channel and I just want to say thank you for all the work you put into these videos. It's really interesting to see these explanations and I just want you to know that we all appreciate the time and effort you put into this channel.
Thank You very very much and happy that you found the channel and are enjoying the content. Yes there is so much detail within these videos but it's fun to make them. Again thank you and much more to come.
One question I always had was, if Heisenberg was building his army to take on Miranda, what did Miranda think he was doing?
Building an army for her? At that point has far has she knowed he was loyal to her
I always thought the same thing. Because it seemed like Mother Miranda knew everything that was going on in the Village.
Heisenberg's my favorite out of the four lords and I hope we get to see more of him in the DLCs or future RE entries.
Mia was not involved in Evelyn's creation she was an agent that was in charge of transporting her
Heisenberg was actually an okay guy to me
I would say he is the lesser evil of the lords, though I wish we could've seen more of his history to give a definite answer
@@HeYDeVuH agreed
I really enjoyed playing village a lot. The storyline was great and karl is still a great character to learn about
He is such an amazing villain and I wish we got the chance to team up with him and I bet he'll betray Ethan in the end and rule Europe (just a hunch). I also think Urias and Urias Strajer are somewhat related to Heisenberg's family. Neil Newbon is a great actor and he really made this character with such power. 💯👌
you can tell karl was taking aback by that “f**k you” ethan spat at him . like “oh wow , really?” 😭😭😭
I love how much effort you put in these videos grest work man
You're very welcome and thank you for watching!!!
Ahhh the best of the four lords
❤️ Love Karl. Thx for the video on him
You're very welcome and thank you for watching
The moment I’ve been waiting for. Thank youuuu
You're very welcome!!!
You know that someone on the development team loved Devastator from Transformers and just had to make it Heisenberg's final form! 😄
I think everyone can agree that there should have been a choice like in RE7 where ofc the ending where you side with Heisenberg won’t be cannon but my god I would have loved to have this
This dude definitely needs some coffee ☕ 😁 awesome video as always thanks DeYuH!
I like the subtle distorted and mechanical sound in Heisenberg's voice. I didn't even notice it until my second playthrough.
Am i the only one who wants a dlc of Karls backstory growing up.
And the sad thing is, even if Ethan joined forces with Heisenberg, they would both die after killing Miranda. Heisenberg would never get his wish!
He'd still have been free from Miranda, I think he'd rather be dead than be under her
i really enjoy the quality of thought behind these videos, really good job !
He is like an older brother who parents loved so much and expected him to be great but he hated the family because he want freedom and independence
That's a great point
@@HeYDeVuH they really have realistic family dynamic
Thank you so much and glad I could help with your sleep
@@HeYDeVuH 😊🤝
That would've been great to see
@@HeYDeVuH I get that Ethan didn't trust him and Heisenberg was talking to Ethan about using Rose to kill Miranda. Ethan didn't like where this was going.
Ethan didn't try to talk Heisenberg out of it. Also Heisenberg didn't look another way. I think Heisenberg was desperate for freedom.
Neil Newborn should’ve gotten some sort of award for this performance.
This is a case of "This doesn't really make sense story wise but we have to have them fight because we need more gameplay"
In reality Heisenberg would have just proposed an alliance to save Rose and kill Miranda and just betrayed Ethan to gain Rose's power.
Does anyone else see Johnny Depp as a good choice to play Heisenberg?
I'd rather see Nicolas Cage as Heisenberg.
i can smell this dude’s cologne.
*(for the love of god don’t take that out of context. he’s just got a visually distinct design, ok?)*
We should've had the option to be able to help Heisenburg , Rose was used as a weapon anyways in the future
I feel like she knew he secretly despised her and she definitely wouldn't have wanted Eva to have that trait
The guy looks like Matt Hardy going on a field trip
When Heisenberg was trying to team up with Ethan i was so mad i couldnt chopse to join him.
I think they should make a dlc where ethan actually joins heisenberg
Yes that would be great to have an option and see what kind of ending we'll have afterwards
I like to think that Chris is known as a legend across all bioweapons and terrorists for his sheer boulder punching abilities being able to beat Wesker, and so even Heisenberg had heard abt it.
