Finkelstein did a poor job, defending Palestinians. Dershowitz kept on claiming Hamas beheaded babies and mass raped. Why didn't Finkelstein correct him and say this had been disproven? Instead Finkelstein implies that there were beheaded babies, when he compares Nat Turner to Hamas and said during the Nat Turner revolt, they beheaded babies.
If Israel thinks it has a right to defend itself, why did it take six hours to respond to Hamas attack? It Israel want to get the hostages back, alive, why are they bombing the loacations were the hostages are expected to be held? Israel funded Hamas and helped Hamas get elected as a rival to the secular Palestinians. Israel benefits more from Hamas than the Palestinians, Palestinians are being scapegoated for Israel and Hamas war crimes.
Activists need to put emphasis on Israel funding Hamas. The West and Israel get away with funding all sorts of Islamic extremist groups then scapegoat average Muslims for the backlash that results from it. The US, West, and Israel are the creators of AlQaeda, ISIS, etc and average Muslims get scapegoated for their war crimes. Israel collaborates with alQaeda and ISIS in Syria. Osama Ben Laden was a CIA asset and Hamas is an Isreali asset.
