Great video and very impressive skills. I love that you're working with a basic coal fire forge, and your anvil is genius! It proves you really don't need high tech equipment to forge useful tools. I have to say though, when you first stuck the steel deep into the fire BARE HANDED I thought, "this guy is SERIOUSLY badass."
Excellent craftsmanship. One of the best tomahawks I have seen made.
That was AWESOME!
Well done - hope in the near future to get some old forging equipment
People like to make shining blades and use angle grinders for everything, but this video? This was one of the most beautiful video about forging that i ever seen.
Boy that turned out to be an excellent thrower !!!
Hats off!!!

One of the coolest stump anvils I have ever seen.
Awesome!!
Started watching Cossack Forge videos without checking who it was but saw you wiping the scale off your anvil and thought "I know another smith that does that exact same gesture". Господин шевченко on the Shurap channel. Sure enough, it's you. Really enjoy the videos, thanks from Canada.
Thank you, yes indeed this is my second channel, with a different concept (without modern machines).
I just did the exact same thing lol also from Canada
This is definitely how I'm spending the rest of quarantine

Excellent work Dmitry. Thank you for sharing.
Merhaba ben de seni çok özledim
Your forge was amazing! You used pine cones to start it which was so cool and you also did not use any machines that need power. you are really underrated
One of the most satisfying videos I've seen.
@ 4:38...Gust of wind and a leaf blows into the frame. 👊🙏
Love the simplicity of the forge absolutely fantastic well done sir bravo!!!.👏👍🇬🇧🕊️🙏💎😎

That wipe without glove is really something. Great piece of art
Bad ass!! I love the low tech approach to smithing.
I was impressed with the blacksmithing, then he casually tosses the tomahawk and teleports it back into his hand.
The guy appears to be some sort of medievil Jedi... captain im gettin Strange readings!
Some sort of humanoid lifeform..
It’s too bad he hasn’t made any more videos this past year. Really enjoyed watching his work.
This mans videos always feel like a wordless tutorial to me. Its always very clear when and why he uses each side of the hammer when he shapes the metal
perfect ! At the moment I work also on a tomahawk with an damascus steel edge ! Nice Video !
Just imagine how important a tool like that was on the frontier.
The third, after a good knife and a reliable gun.
Also if society collapses. Those blacksmith skills will be invaluable.
@@chadfalardeau9162 so second
you didnt use this tool on frontier
@@ismailsakarya7592 The American Indians did. The pioneers probably had axes though, I think that's what he's getting at.
Did not know that pine cones burnt so easily. What I liked most was how the guy just got on and did the job, no talk talk talk garbage. Good job.
If I saw this in a high-end sporting goods catalog/retailer, I would believe that it belongs there!
Thank you for the video, Much appreciated...
This was very calming, for some reason. Thanks.
I will never look at a ball-peen hammer in the same way. Now I see a different tool hidden inside waiting to be made.
That is exactly how i look at fat birds ...

Pine cones to start the forge? I think that's brilliant! I've never thought of this before.
Nice! Great to see it turn out so clean.
I like this job. Wish I had your sharping stones! Take care n God bless.
The way you kept sweeping your anvil...I imagine your shop is spotless. Great video!

Getting in my grandads and dads tool shed to find an old hammer I can do this with during lockdown!
Please just make sure you don't ruin a valuable old tool. If it has a brand name look it up to make sure it isn't valuable.
I bow in respect to a true master of his art!

Simple video, simple tools , great experience, great enjoyment.
Thank you.
Nice job and nice video.
I'm going to try drifting to fit the standard Tommy Hawks handle so if needed I can replace quickly as true Hawks needs to fly.
Thanks
Love your setup! I’d love a coal/ charcoal forge like that.
Great video! I love that forge!
Beautiful tools and good care taking of the forging equipment.
The pinecones as starter, and your anvil is that a piece of railroad track on end, In the log, going to have to use that one. Nice axe as well.
He did a great job
That is the coolest Forge I have ever seen
Actully it looks quite hot to me!

@Brady Hartsfield why?
@Brady Hartsfield -- And I loved it. I guess that's why they have chocolate and vanilla, eh?
I think the forging is amazing, but the hanging of it is dangerous. There are visible gaps. It needs a much larger wooden wedge and then a metal wedge. In an ideal world it would have a tapered eye and no wedge at all.
absolutely a thing of beauty! Great job ;)
Pretty damn good well done mate
Show parabéns 🙏🙏🙏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
The tricky part is not messing up the hole for the handle.
Dude that forge is awesome. I would cook over that as well.
