Hi from 🇫🇷! I agree! Lucas got a life sentence 🥺 he didn’t deserve it. His future life as it should have been has been taken away, he will live a life of suffering. The defendant might be a good person but what she did wasn’t. I don’t understand the sentence!!!

For her to be who everyone says she is and her being in health care and at her age, SHE KNOWS NOT TO DRINK AND DRIVE.

    • @nancy-hv8wf
      @nancy-hv8wf Рік тому

You don't have to be in health care to know that you should'nt drink and drive. Everybody who holds a drivers license knows this. Alcohol is addictive just like drugs. You would'nt believe stress level that nurses and administrators and aides work under, and you would'nt believe how many of them drink and some drive. She had been battling alcohol before the accident said a friend in one letter written. Alcoholism hits anybody. Your place of employment does'nt stop it. When you're drunk like she was, all rationality is out the window. Being an alcoholic is a disease.

I still don’t understand or like how plea bargains are given for cases that have so much evidence that it’s for sure going to be a guilty verdict giving the defendant a harsh punishment. Instead giving them a plea that slaps the victim/s in the face and allows the defendant to practically get away with their crimes. It angers me, especially when the victim/s are forced to suffer for a lifetime.

All these people speaking on her behalf are all well and good, but anyone who repeatedly gets behind the wheel drunk is NOT a good person. I hope her victim can recover to his fullest. If this woman is entitled, the victim should sue her for everything she has.

The judge was more empathetic towards her, even after reading off ALL OF HER PREVIOUS VIOLATIONS
    & DUI…
    What a sham !!!

    She was soooooo negligent
Angry with her boyfriend , wouldn’t get in a Uber!!!

I cant even watch this without feeling extreme anger at the lawyers and judges that allow repeated drunk drivers to get off with a slap on the hand. This is why many people continue their horrible actions of drinking and driving….eventually killing others (especially those with privileged lifestyles that can afford the best defense). Our politicians should stop arguing political nonsense thats put money in their pockets, sit down with their peers and pass laws that have mandatory OVI/DUI/DWI punishment (whatever that means). I’m all for forgiveness and helping people with addiction problems…but this one (like so many others) is a sham!

Is she overwrought only because she she got caught this time ? I'm sure her two didn't cause her alarm to Wake Her UP ! Her Previous Moving Violations (28) didn't set off any internal ALARMS either !
So sad that Someone with such a bright future🕯️was innocently placed in her path of destruction.
😅I note it's when people are caught and see the magnitude of their offense right in front of them as TRUTH , do they react . I'm so surprised by the judge's blinders . Maybe he couldn' t get past the crutches she had on display. I felt she used them as a crutch with a totally different meaning here .( I'm helpess, weak , I need you for support ) .
I trully hope she faces her demons and her friends with truths she has lied and deceived them for years . Who will be there when she is released now that they are aware of her driving history ? Will they get into a car with her or let her borrow their car ?
I really don't think they knew her at all . Now they do !
My ❤ goes to this victim alone ! He spoke only about facts related to his condition , timeline and future , and impact on his life goals , plans and dreams being altered , not forgotten . What an inspiration 🕯️.. Says so much aboht his family's dedication to his best recovery ,✨.

Pathetic woman, how can she be the person her family described when she destroyed a young man’s life. Prayers and accolades are self serving and meaningless for Mr. Zhao’s life.
She is a menace to society . I wish that the Zhao family had been able to bring speakers on his behalf.
I hope that he does sue and is able to recover at all levels. She owes him two lives, a past and future. She owes his family a past and future.
Shame on the court and the message sent to the Zhao family and society.

She should have served at least 20 years and the judge ought to serve the 12 months for stupidity.

The victim deserves to have his life back. The drunk driver deserves at least 30 years in prison plus all the victim's medical bills paid plus 2 million in compensation paid by the drunk! The money seems to have been absorbed by the judge's pockets!

I hope this injured man sued her. Maybe that's why she got a light sentence. He won a huge settlement...maybe.

I'm sure people will disagree with me questioning this, but did that judge know her, a family member or any of her close friends prior to this? He spent more time acknowledging how remorseful she is, being sympathetic about the events that happened in her childhood and how she has been traumatized by the death of her sister. I've never seen a judge being that sympathetic to a defendant that drove drunk, almost killed a man and has prior DUI charges and a long list of prior traffic violations, yet spends so much time lifting her up and completely disregarding the trauma she inflicted on the victim. This was a spit in the victims face.
It seems a little sus to me.

Apparently she has a drinking problem and should undergo drinking rehab at the very least with more years in prison. Low tear is ver repeatedly emphasized.

Can't listen to people speaking on her behalf....should not have been allowed. She completely ruined not only a young man just starting out in life but his dependant family as well. Disgusted with this judge.

All these people come in to talk about her and to tell who she is. Well, she is a constant drunk driver. There should be no excuse for that. They all knew she had issues with drunk driving. Why the hell didn't they get her in treatment. Driving drunk is no excuse. This woman should get the maximum.

she’s a blonde white woman… With a brother-in-law who is a deacon in the Catholic church. ??Who cares!! What THAT has to do with anything is beyond me anyway, I’m not gonna continue with this however, I felt that what was beyond the big oak desk was OBVIOUSLY Partial, if not swayed altogether. And how he felt that her upright extended family is surely able to avoid her from another situation like this in the future.. this almost took my breath away…AA OR AMEN sweetheart…p.s. shes got priors!!!!!
