You don't have to be in health care to know that you should'nt drink and drive. Everybody who holds a drivers license knows this. Alcohol is addictive just like drugs. You would'nt believe stress level that nurses and administrators and aides work under, and you would'nt believe how many of them drink and some drive. She had been battling alcohol before the accident said a friend in one letter written. Alcoholism hits anybody. Your place of employment does'nt stop it. When you're drunk like she was, all rationality is out the window. Being an alcoholic is a disease.

I still don’t understand or like how plea bargains are given for cases that have so much evidence that it’s for sure going to be a guilty verdict giving the defendant a harsh punishment. Instead giving them a plea that slaps the victim/s in the face and allows the defendant to practically get away with their crimes. It angers me, especially when the victim/s are forced to suffer for a lifetime.

Horrific accident, and she's lucky to be alive. I had a small collision in stop and go traffic, and I injured my chest. I still have visions of seeing my whole body lift from my seat, and hitting the steering wheel, and I had a seatbelt that malfunctioned. Seeing that car in this video brought back my own accident. I hope this young man won a huge lawsuit.

I'm sure people will disagree with me questioning this, but did that judge know her, a family member or any of her close friends prior to this? He spent more time acknowledging how remorseful she is, being sympathetic about the events that happened in her childhood and how she has been traumatized by the death of her sister. I've never seen a judge being that sympathetic to a defendant that drove drunk, almost killed a man and has prior DUI charges and a long list of prior traffic violations, yet spends so much time lifting her up and completely disregarding the trauma she inflicted on the victim. This was a spit in the victims face. It seems a little sus to me.

I've never seen a judge being that sympathetic to a defendant that drove drunk, almost killed a man and has prior DUI charges and a long list of prior traffic violations, yet spends so much time lifting her up and completely disregarding the trauma she inflicted on the victim. This was a spit in the victims face.

Apparently she has a drinking problem and should undergo drinking rehab at the very least with more years in prison. Low tear is ver repeatedly emphasized.
I wonder if the family had of read their own letters to the judge in person .Would it have made a difference?
Can't listen to people speaking on her behalf....should not have been allowed. She completely ruined not only a young man just starting out in life but his dependant family as well. Disgusted with this judge.

All these people come in to talk about her and to tell who she is. Well, she is a constant drunk driver. There should be no excuse for that. They all knew she had issues with drunk driving. Why the hell didn't they get her in treatment. Driving drunk is no excuse. This woman should get the maximum.

she’s a blonde white woman… With a brother-in-law who is a deacon in the Catholic church. ??Who cares!! What THAT has to do with anything is beyond me anyway, I’m not gonna continue with this however, I felt that what was beyond the big oak desk was OBVIOUSLY Partial, if not swayed altogether. And how he felt that her upright extended family is surely able to avoid her from another situation like this in the future.. this almost took my breath away…AA OR AMEN sweetheart…p.s. shes got priors!!!!!
