An update on the Patrol....Gobi-X did a fantastic job of custom building a full length set of rock sliders for the Patrol about 2 months ago. Super strong and sexy looking! The team at R&D and Gobi-X have always proven to me that customer service and quality products are at the core of their business.
Proper rig guys! I ran the RazrMT's for 2 years. Brilliant tyre! I'm now testing the Razr AT's, they're beyond impressive. Are you guys goin to the Patrol 70th at Goerapan this year? It would be great to meet you.

Love how you've kitted your 'Trol, Hugh - and been following your channel for a while. I also recently bought a well-kitted 4.8 (not as fully kitted as yours), upgrading from a stock CRD GL Patrol. Hope to also make it to Goera pan in September and meet you in person. Keep the great content coming!
Nice car, thank you for the detailed review. Love the table idea in front of the fridge!! and the gull wings.... I need gull wings, as my Series 4 is a GX an can have bigger doors on both sides as there is no aircon the rear.... On the RAZRs, you will not be disappointed!!! Looking forward to meet you in person at Goerapan.
Thanks Leon. With your GX it may be worth importing the "Plug-n-Play" wings from Oz vs the custom build. Pricing may be too high considering the import duties and exchange rate. You could also look at Big Sky that are in JHB, but they will want to do the installation themselves. I enquired about 2 years ago when I did my wings and they were still in R&D mode for the Troll wings hence them wanting to install themselves. Things may have changed since then.

Earlier this year I saw a post on the forum about a kit that he was building, which looked very similar to mine. R&D 4x4 in Brackenfell WC built mine for me. Hi, the cargo barrier you have on your patrol. Where did you buy it if I may ask? I’m looking for one for my patrol. In aus , there are amazing ones, but just can’t find any here in South Africa
