Incredible! Beautifully crafted... This is, by far, the 'BEST' aerial footage I've yet to view of my city, Philadelphia... Thank you, for bringing light to a city with continued growth and deep-rooted history. KUDOS to you!
A friend of mine moved to this city because of his job (from NYC) last year.. i went to visit for the first time last May, and I've been going back almost twice a month ever since. I simply fell in love with it (mind you I live in NYC). The people, the schools, Center City, the urban outskirts, row houses, trolley/street cars (esp the vintage Girard PCC's), the bars, the food (Pats!), etc (Sunny in Philadelphia captures it well)... It's the NYC that I remembered as a kid, the one I miss..
Love this city. Just wish I could live here again. Though I do get to visit annually. First time I visited was in 97 and have loved the place ever since.
Wow awesome, love the city, love the big tall buildings! I have a drone Q 500 and love flying around Ireland for some aerial footage, but your video just blow me away! Well done! Thumbs up from me! :)
Beautiful video, first of all... the music/angles could make any city look like the best place on Earth. Anyways, I plan on applying to Temple for grad school and this video is making me love the city, and I have never even been. I hope to visit soon.
Dallas born and raise and yes I'll always be a Cowboys fan....But I love the great city of Philadelphia. Not overly huge population like larger cities (about the same as Dallas)but still big. Very historic! And there are REAL rivers through downtown(something Dallas lacks) Dallas skyline is blingy and glitzy but lacks the older concrete historic skyscapers. Philly has a nice mix of the 2. Beautiful and has a lot of character. Can't wait to visit Philly. Maybe even move there. :D
Not to be rude or anything but Philadelphia and Dallas have 2 fairly different populations philly is in the top 5 and has a taller skyline. :) Go EAGLES!
Daniel Niklauski 1.3 million vs 1.5 million isnt much of a difference and youre wrong about the taller skyline. Philly currently has 2 blgs taller than any in Dallas at the moment (though not by much height) But overall Dallas skyline is ranked higher on the Raime ratings.Dallas is ranked 6th just behind LA. Philly is currently 12th though I think Philly will move up soon with the new Comcast tower. If you didnt know Dallas has had a boom in highrise development recently. We are bldg density first. Height comes next. Plans for supertalls are in the works. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Raime/Skyline_rankings
Philadelphia’s skyline is so underrated, the glass Comcast center and liberty place buildings are so beautiful and quite tall, I mean Comcast is all but 1000’ I don’t understand why people think philly is a “short” city it’s so dense
No way sir...the Philly restaurant scene is huge and diverse! One of the best food cities in the country! Boston is a much smaller scene...a decent one..but not even close to Philadelphia
I went about. Month ago for the chargers and eagles game and this being my first time out of the west coast, Philly looked like nothing that I would have imagined.. Shit the projects in south Philly look better than the regular apt.. But I did enjoy my time there wit my son and enjoyed the chargers win over the eagles.. I would love to go there again.. But y don't people stop at stop signs and why don't people wear seat belts?? Only in Philly! Until we meet again.. And oh yea, genos is the best!
Man I was born and raised in NYC, but I absolutely LOVE Philadelphia and visit as often as I can (thank you Mega & Bolt bus). Great architecture, nightlife, old school urban setting, hipster scene, food (oh yes), and the realness of it's people. I don't care where you're from, you will have a good time in this town (Center City esp). NYC has become a transient pit stop, just like DC, and has lost much of it's culture and traditions as a result. And Boston? Please (boring & pretentious as shit).
+eyestoenvy I was born and raised in Philly and I like it too. But I must say we don't have that many famous skyscrapers, nor are they that tall - the tallest[Comcast Building] being 61 storeys? Wow, very impressive. You had, before 9/11, the World Trade Center towers, which both 1 and 2 WTCs were 110 storeys tall. I mean, wow! Shopping mall, outside observatory and such. Plus, they were featured in movies, so was the Empire State Building. But despite all that, I DO like Philly and glad to have grown up here.
+Ali Gregg The American Commerce Center was supposed to be Philly's next suppertall Skyscrapper. It would've been the tallest or second tallest building in the U.S, but was cancelled. The Comcast Innovation and Technology Center is currently under construction and will be the new tallest in Philly pretty soon.
This city is not 78 percent black! i do not know what census results you read? if anything it's 51% black! that's what i read! And their is a steady movement of young suburban transplants that are goung to school, opening up businesses. yes Philadelphia enjoyed a very prosperous past, the political climate seems to cripple it the most! hopefully that will change as a younger and more educated breed of politicians enter in to cities political arena!
It looks really beautiful and I would LOVE to visit sometime soon. But............ why do so many YT videos dwell on the negatives of Philly ? Eg. crime rates, homelessness etc. ? It is quite off-putting.
@Dmacho78 Yeah NYC is expensive because of supply and demand. If a closet with a bathroom and a stove cost $2,000 a month....that tells you people really wanna live there, or else it wouldn't even be that expensive. NYC is an extremely desirable place to live, and the extremely high prices reflect that.
@26Deacon Chicago hast he worst public housing project, Cabrini green. The worst public school system, most polarized neighborhoods in America. And let me say this, Philly's ranks slightly better in those two categories. We have the third largest art museum in the world! The first public waterworks, First public library, first hospitals in America, and so on! The birthplace of American architecture, worlds first modern sky scraper, the nations first sky scraper, oldest stock exchange-
This looks great!!!!! I have a short film I would like to use some of the footage in if interested. It is a non-pay gig but you would get credited. Shoot me a message if interested rtkiiiprod.
dude, where do u get your stats at... philly is 78 percent black as of the 2010 census... maybe the burbs knock off that, but the metro area is very black... city of brotherly love my ass....
Newark have to tell philly to fall the hell back, I mean way back. I'm not from Philly and Newark is not Miami. Especially if Newark is following the footsteps of Detroit.
@26Deacon New York City is the financial capital, economic capital, arguably cultural capital (along with LA), has more diversity, more skyscrapers...more of almost everything than Chicago. It's always Chicagoans that go out and claim their city is the best, while New Yorkers dont give two shits about Chicago. New Yorkers dont need to brag, the whole world knows the city is a beast in every level. Thats why theres far more tourism in NYC than Chicago. Im not sayin NYC > Chi, but let it go
@26Deacon Chicago's skyline looks like glass hard-ons! During the Phillie's 2008 parade, our crowds topped over three million! You guy's have twice the population as Philadelphia, and your parade on Michigan ave. looked piss poor! We had the record breaker man! Our metro peeps came out for an old style, East coast ticker tape parade! Another bit of news for you, Chicago burned down in 1871, most of the so called great Chicago architects were educated at the University of Pennsylvania!
jwtj62600 born in a taxi on the way to Presbyterian during a storm in 54 lived in west north and west oak lane different times and a lot of good and a little bad
@26Deacon LOL...wow, it's no sense trying to to talk real to you. You obvoiusly have nothing better to do than to be on our page. LOL...You should hate on us...we're a way better city!! If y'all were better, you wouldnt waste time arguing with all of us. We are the epicenter of the eastcoast and the 2nd biggest city...and at least we get tourists...there's NO reason to visit Chicago. I think you're slow or something...you're just looking for a fight with us because we're better...JOE (Bwhahaha)
Love Philadelphia! Historic buildings and streets, great restaurants and pubs!
Incredible! Beautifully crafted... This is, by far, the 'BEST' aerial footage I've yet to view of my city, Philadelphia... Thank you, for bringing light to a city with continued growth and deep-rooted history. KUDOS to you!

Nice moving images and a lovely sound track. Two thumbs up.
Wow awesome, love the city, love the big tall buildings! I have a drone Q 500 and love flying around Ireland for some aerial footage, but your video just blow me away! Well done! Thumbs up from me! :)
What a beautiful view of my city!
I felt like I was in a helicopter ride!

Jf Marc That building will only be a storey taller than the Comcast Building. We need some really tall skyscrapers like the American Commerce Center.

YES, we do need more skyscrapers!
But I kinda thought the commerce center was ugly.
Philadelphia over Boston any day...and China? Interesting to visit but that's about it
The beautiful city (besides all the crime) where I live :)

North American cities in general don't have the capacity to be up to date and modern like European cities.
They make it look good in this video but i've lived here for 15 years and it really sucks.. Move to LA if you want good views!!
Toronto has a bigger horizon
I'd rather live in Dallas over Philadelphia any day; Dallas has more entertainment to offer than nothing happening Philadelphia
Hugh Jass well if you like country music yes we have world famous sound of Philadelphia no contest.
Philadelphia food is lousy. If you want the best cuisine, go to Boston!!
Just stay in Boston don't come to Philadelphia no more
Aerial footage of a sewer!!!!!!!
NYC is better..
