More than 60% of interviewers prefer to have an video interview, instead of face-to-face. The trend will only get bigger, even if offices open or not. Here are some tips.
Video interviews are not only cost effective, they also end up saving a lot of time on either ends.
Because this way of interviewing is so new, most people aren’t sure how to prepare for it.
In this video you will learn three ways to ace up your video interviews:
TIMESTAMPS:
00:00 Introduction
01:46 How modern interviews have changed
02:36 Presenting yourself - in a virtual way!
08:32 A checklist for online interviews
10:31 How to practice for online interviews
14:28 Controlling your body language and facial expressions
If you have done and succeeded in a video interview off late with some other method as well, please let me know in the comments below and help everyone else in the process :)
For further questions, feel free to bring them up in the comments section.

There is one more aspect which is also important for video interviews, that is your eye contact. Usually in an in-person interview we try to focus on a stable object around a room (not sure if others do it) to keep our eye at level with the interviewer. But during a video call it depends on the position of the camera and various other factors so we need to practice that too.
Best thing about this video is that it also tells you what not to do.
Ankur I have always admired you as a mentor!! And I always look forward to hearing you again and again🙏🙏
Much awaited video, thanks for guidance...
I feel pleasant when i see you smile .. You are dedicated to create an excitement to the viewer while watching your video and try to inject the whole content right into the viewers brain. . Thanks for all the hardwork Ankur.. Your videos are great..
This is such an insightful video. Thank you sir for all your efforts. Much appreciated ♥️
I had a college interview yesterday, and I was the second last person to be interviewed. And it seemed like the interviewers weren't interested at all.. well now I know why! I'll definitely incorporate all your pointers the next time around sir, thank you so much for your videos.
One thing that helped me in telephonic interviews is taking pauses between sentences. Wait for a second to check whether interviewer wants to say anything or not and then continue. Helps in keeping the interview going in a right direction.
Also would recommend watching live mock interviews on YT. Gives you a sense of how to take time to think before answering the question.
Also most importantly don't panic, you will be doing just fine :)
Thanks for your encouragement to all those folks battling with these simple yet so imp tips.
I liked usage of some words like “aap key pass shradha hai tu” :). Learned about a new app today
WOW...Very relevant topic Ankur, good job. As a career-Coach, I train professionals for their C- level Interviews for many years now and with the online interviews, I completely agree with you that the game has changed.
One of my senior clients got through the full round of amazon day-long interview only after doing these online-practices ( many you have mentioned above ) as mock-interviews on Video with me!
It is definitely not the same anymore.
What the smart girl showed is a good example of DIY-Video resume which is also is going to be the new-normal replacement of 2 Page traditional resume.
P.S- Loved this episode! Do one of how to deal with the fear of giving interviews (especially interns).
But wearing a complete dress gave me immense confidence than wearing only shirt during my campus interviews few days back 😅😅

Great insights Ankur. Thanks for the app suggestion 👍
Perfect timing for this video!
I think you read my mind, I have a interview next week with Hiring Manager...... Thanks!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. Whenever I feel low, I watch your videos and get charged. Your videos are full of pure information and no bullshit. Videos like these are rare to find now a days
Amazing Insights, Sir . Please Sir, do more on videos on this topic like the how to answer the generic questions asked in interviews , sharing some of your experience of the out of the box answers you have heard during interviews. This would be a great help for freshers like us looking to start their career.
wow! best motivator, I have never seen this type of video, now sir I am your fan...
I am personally very good with phone interviews and pretty bad with in-person interviews. My key to success in phone/video interviews is that I can prepare a script for all the obvious questions and just simply read off the script when they ask the questions. This really gets me off to a great start and gives me momentum to answer the not so obvious questions without nerves.
The books are legendary. Thank you Ankur Sir🙏.
Thankyou Ankur, for everything that you do.
Ankur - love you buddy!
Thank-you so much Ankur. Helped me nail a video interview for an amazing job profile. Thanks for all the advices and recommendations. 😁

I recently had an interview where in one round the Interviewer had kept his video off and had to follow only audio cues
The best thing in that situation is to make sure you're answering to the point and gave clear examples to hold the attention of the interviewer

nice content sir
Hi. Can you also make a video on some important pointers while taking an interview. Some things to look out for irrespective of the domain or field. Have learnt a lot from your videos. Thanks.
Loved it from 8:08 to 8:14😂 But loved the video, it’s very informative.
Speako app is not available on play store...Can you share link in your discription box?
Very Nice
Haha. This was cute 🙂😂 !! Great tips 👍
Sir please make video on self doubt and how to overcome it!!
That intro music 💥💥
Aap bare filmy hai😄 may I come in sir/madam was v dramatic, loved it 😄
Hey Ankur, can you make a video on facial expressions and art of using them at right moment?
Amazing video as usual. I just wanted to add that the application you talked about - Speako can also be used to improve English. In your previous video related to English speaking you've talked about recording your voice and listening to it which will make us comfortable and confident about our own voice. I think this app can be very useful for that.👍
It doesn't exist anymore on playstore. Are there any alternatives ?
